What's Behind the London Attacks?
The bombing of the London Underground was a false-flag operation designed to keep the West mired in war. Don't believe otherwise.
By Matt Hutaff Jul 7, 2005

Only one word sprang to mind when I heard about the bombings that claimed the lives of dozens of Londoners today - convenient.

Is there anything convenient in death, or in thousands of lives destroyed from catastrophe? No - and words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the men and women changed by today's events. But governments with skeletons in their closets have a great deal to gain from a national tragedy bolstered by "terrorism."

As I sit in my office today, I hear the whispers of co-workers now utterly convinced our war on terror must continue. Despite American and British involvement in the Middle East birthing wave after wave of rebel forces, the Bush doctrine is now justified in the minds of millions. Petty grievances such as the Downing Street Minutes, the President's flagging support and Karl Rove's treasonous outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame are unimportant. A shadowy conglomeration is out to kill us.

Sound familiar? It should - the same emotional ploy was used to great effect on Americans in the wake of September 11th. Question nothing, particularly your cries for vengeance or that nagging feeling in the back of your head. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Unlike four years ago, however, I refuse to accept that the attack on London was anything less than a false-flag operation designed to enrage Western "civilization" against the Middle East. Why? Because there is no reason for "terrorist" groups to attack England. As recently as this week, the Ministry of Defense announced that plans were being drafted that would pull British armed forces from the quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan. With the British effectively admitting they're throwing in the towel, the only motivation to stay could come from an attack that compels the forces to stay and fight "global terrorism."

Think about it. The attack only benefits empires desperate to maintain a foothold in the Middle East without further eroding public opinion. Will Parliament shrug their shoulders and push their soldiers into longer tours of duty because of this? Obviously it's too early to tell, but if that happens, insurgents and rebels will have lost more than they could have ever possibly gained in destroying part of the Underground.

Brian Kilmeade of Fox News agrees, claiming the sabotage "works to ... [the] Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together." It doesn't just make "terrorism" an American problem. It makes it a worldwide problem. The Number One problem.

No longer do we need to concern ourselves with two world leaders (who have spawned more worldwide terrorism than any fanatical religious organization) going unquestioned in their lies that started a war. We can cast off our sluggish economies, lack of freedoms and pitiful descent into draconian law. Terror is on the rise.

I feel like I'm sitting in my apartment watching the World Trade Center collapse all over again.

Everything is the same, right down to the previously unheard of Islamic group (The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe? Are you kidding me?) taking credit - even though the translation falls apart under scrutiny and the Q'uran is improperly cited. Considering the only Al Qaeda cell to ever be uncovered was a front for the Mossad, you'd think the perpetrators could at least come up with a clever new booga-booga name to grab headlines. Their arrogance is startling.

As is the ever-present Israeli connection, a staple among false flag operations. Before today's attack, the Israeli Embassy in London was notified an attack was forthcoming. As a result, former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remained in his hotel room rather than head towards a nearby hotel where he was to address an economic summit.

The embassy denies it had any prior knowledge, of course, but the story has changed dramatically in the process. If, as they say, Netanyahu was not warned, how did he know to stay in his room? How did he know the danger was so severe that he dare not venture out of the hotel?

Oops! The story's changed again - here Netanyahu says that British police had warned the Israelis (but not the rest of the city?) of a pending attack. Scotland Yard denies this; Israel's reply was to say Netanyahu received his warning after the first blast. How? It was initially reported as a power surge for hours. What is being hidden here? And why isn't there an investigation into these obvious discrepancies?

It's enough to make your head spin and your eyes cross with rage.

Regardless, I am making an appeal to Britons who are understandably wracked with grief at the moment - don't buy into the hatred the way we Americans did. Don't ignore the obvious evidence that this whole affair was orchestrated by your own government. Most importantly, don't let the deaths of the few, however tragic, plunge your nation into another fit of war and civic clampdowns.

Toying with your emotions is expected. Don't fall prey to ignorance. See the attack on your home for what it really is - a distraction that will keep your money, resources and troops mired in ceaseless battle for an ideology that betrays your democratic and civilized tenets.

Honor your dead with tears, not a cry for war or praise for a disgraced leader.

London Calling 08.Jul.2005 10:19

First, let us all agree that it is much too early to know who is responsible for the attacks in London. Second, let us also agree that to disallow evidence and jump to ridiculous conclusions is not going to help either.

Therefore, why don't we look at several facts that we do know:

1) Scotland Yard reports four blasts caused by approx 10lbs of high explosive
2) the blasts occurred by means of self-timers and went off within 45mins of each other
3) serious loss of life, injury and damage occurred
4) Benj. Netanyahu remained in his hotel, although he had been scheduled to speack at time of the blasts

Without belabouring the obvious, can we at least demand to know how so many kilos of high-explosive material is floating around in the tube? These are not firecrackers and travel alarm clocks here. Something stinks about the apparent ease with which both the explosives were prepared and how they appeared on the underground and bus. Theory (a) has it that a terrorist cell was able to do this, theory (b) has it that trained secret agents carried this out. I am not going to tell you which one I think is more likely. Anyway, we need Scotland Yard forensics to be honest and TELL US WHAT the stuff was and WHERE it was made! Believe me, they will know exactly what molecules they found!

Although it is a sad prospect, we should be realistic about who might have done this terrible act. Theory (a) has it that terrorists who "hate our way of life" would strike innocent commuters, theory (b) has it that black operatives, working to counteract the growing opposition to UK presence in Iraq, or working to stymie G8 action on global warming, or seeking to stifle opposition to national ID cards and other security measures have willingly slain our citizens. Well, again, you don't need to know my opinion on this. But be open-minded. Ask yourself: just because the Queen says it and it is repeated ad nauseum on television, does it become true?

Finally, there has been a lot of talk and redaction about who "knew" what and who warned whom immediately before the attacks. Let's stick to the fact: Netanyahu stayed in his hotel room. Imagine that. The teeming millions of London, minding their own business are blown to bits, while a certain individual cancels his scheduled address to hundreds of attendees and stays very well put. I'm not saying that anyone is to blame here, but do you get a creepy feeling the way I do? A sort of chill up and down your spine that leaves you thinking:

how the hell is it the "leaders" always survive to call for war? to take away our civil liberties? to rob us blind for weapons and armed occupations? to stamp us down and call us unpatriotic when we are not silently going along with their bankrupt policies?

- London Calling
by Jeff Buckley
My heart goes out to the People of London. I can't imagine the horrors of what has transpired. The thought of having my definition of the world around me ripped to shreds like that or of losing a loved one in such an event brings me to the verge of tears and leaves me severely nauseated to say the very least. I can only feel lucky never to have witnessed such an act firsthand and can only hope that I never will. You have a long road of recovery ahead of you and the scars will always remain, but if anyone can come out on top I know it's you guys.

With that said...

I would love to be able to agree with the initial "Islamic Militants" assessment of the situation. It fits so well and makes so much sense to the casual observer or frothing neocon. Those people who hate freedom just have to be responsible for the carnage in London. There can't be any other explanation behind it. It wrenches the mind to venture thoughts of anyone else wreaking such death and destruction upon innocent civilians during something so innocuous as their morning commutes. Nothing to think about, nothing to process, and nothing to digest other than the sweet soothing sounds of an official government explanation. Easy like a Sunday morning, I always say.

Unfortunately, having turned enough stones over and having seen enough of the slimy-creepy-crawly things that lurk beneath them here in my own country, I can't help but question the timing and motives of such an attack. Why did it happen now and whom does it benefit?

Tony Blair has stated, along with other terrorism experts that this bombing is linked to the beginning of the G8 Summit in Scotland - To cast a cloud over the proceedings. Of the several countries represented at the G8 Summit, only The United States, Great Britain, Japan, and Italy are over in Iraq right now. Why coincide a bombing with an event, only a few hundred miles away that has so many other countries present that are either neutral or opposed to the war? Why risk bringing in further support for the occupying forces from those countries?

The leaders of Russia, France, and Germany have since pledged their support and solidarity in the wake of the bombings. How does this help any "Islamic Militant" cause? Great Britain's Ministry of Defense had just, days before, announced that they were going to be pulling massive numbers of troops out. Why do something to reverse that course of action? There is no benefit from executing this bombing if you happen to be a terrorist, strategic or otherwise. If you were to look at this act from a "cost/reward" perspective, it would be akin to gambling with the rent or taking your life savings to the dog track. It makes absolutely no sense.

So, exactly who does this benefit?

Well, Bush and Blair are both circling the political "lame duck" drain. Left and right, people are abandoning each of their respective ships. Pressure is beginning to mount from all sides regarding the Downing Street Memos and the Valerie Plame leak, support for the war is at an all time low, and approval ratings have never been more dismal. Nothing short of an extraordinary and catastrophic event could begin to stem or reverse the flow.

What exactly could help to bring people together behind their leaders, garner lost support for the illegal war in Iraq, and help along the hysterical drum beating for the coming attractions in Iran and Syria? What could possibly take the media and everyone else's attention off of the Downing Street Memos and the Karl Rove CIA leak stories? What could make people look away from such issues as John Bolton, The Supreme Court, and...

As I said before, my heart goes out to the victims of this heinous act. You've done nothing wrong to deserve this and please don't take my absence from the bandwagon as my condoning this cowardly act or being any less disgusted by it - I'm just not ready to point the finger of blame at a random group of Arabs just yet. Having witnessed the depths to which my own leaders have sunk to get what they want, I am not willing to be pacified with tales of "Islamic Militants." Having seen regimes in the past and present manufacture their own disasters and evidence to mobilize and fortify public opinion for their own wars of conquest, I refuse to grant the governments of The United States, Great Britain, or Israel a get out of jail free card on principle this time around. For they are the ones who benefit most from this event, not any particular "Islamic Militant" group and certainly not any of the insurgents in Iraq.

So, when you see the headlines dominated by this story and the mounting evidence of lies, deception, and treason being forever pushed to the backburner, be sure to ask yourself, "Who benefits from this?" Before you throw your support behind administrations that only have doublespeak, deceit, and death to show for their efforts, be sure to ask yourself, "Who benefits from this?" And, before you allow yourself to be steamrolled and swept away by the inevitable surge of jingoistic retaliatory euphoria, be sure to ask yourself, "Who benefits from this?"

If you can honestly answer that question, you just may be surprised by the answer.
