Hey that's terrible... but what'd you expect? They are violent assholes... It's time to move from the defense to the offense. PLain and simple. Oh yeah, that atzlan organization is also a racist, nationalist organization that puts anyone down if they aren't of central american heritage, including people of african decent. Shame on you folks as well.

I think its kind of ridiculous to say the Aztlan organization, or any other Raza/Chicano based group is "racist" and "nationalistic" just because they hold up the concept of a native homeland, personified in the Aztlan. I would question the person who made that comment above if they are even vaguely familiar with the Chicano movement of the 60's. That said the organization mentioned above does have a tendency to border on anti-semetic (labelling everything as "Jewish owned" and "Jewish controlled") and while some of its criticisms of mainstream, black capitalists is valid (particuarly of Jesse Jackson) the argument that there is some sort of Black Jewish alliance to screw Mexicans is ridiculous. Rather it should be pointed out the obvious, that those of the upper class, regardless ofe thnic ties, prefer to cavort with those of their same class.

I recall La Voz de Aztlan quite well from a few years ago, when some of the West Coast IMCs were dithering about whether to continue permitting reposts from such a reactionary source.

Perhaps he's toned it down a bit since, but his constant paranoid rants about "Jew this", "Jewess that" and love of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories left no room for doubt about how to classify him.

In addition to that, Cienfuegos has called for the disembowelling of gay people- another one of his mamy hate objects. On that basis alone I'd feel quite comfortable in classifying him as the vilest sort of spittle-flecked reactionary fanatic.

In a strange way, "Aztlan" is a sort of sign of progress. It proves that being Latino is no longer a bar to being a genuine Orange County far-right hatefreak.

Well it seems to me that any revolution will have big challenges. It seems to me that oppression effects all people of lower classes. I've had county employees tell me that if I didn't go to thier illigal parmacutical testing program they'd make me go to a school fourty miles from my home for "behaviorally challenged" kids. Why because I asked my counselor for help dealing with family abuse, and because they profiled me as too poor to put up a fight. I was one of MANY kids co-erced into this program. Maybee I'm wrong but I feel that the consumptive imperialistic propoganda that the corperate media shovels at us creates a good measure of domestic violence. It makes us feel week and dependant in the face of oppression at home, and in the streets. I think that many problems our families face across racial devides have to do with the domination of popular culture by the rich. I honestly wonder if it will be much different under telmundo, than it is under fox now. In early American history there were concerted efforts by poor whites and people of color to stand togethor against thier common enemies. These efforts were reacted to in strategic meetings by the houses of burgess or lords. The notes of these meetings record pointed attempts by the rich land owners of early america to create the institutional racism of today. To turn us all against each other. I've met working class people from a factory in texas that systamaticly tested thier workers through the company healthcare program to develop standards for PCB exposure that they knew was killing the community. Was this community solidly white? Was it solidly Brown? No. It was a diverse community that shared a working class background. That shared an employer that bought laws, and exposure standards that killed them.

Now contrast that with our system of agriculture that borders on, or is slavery, and it seems that there's clear similarities and clear differences. Farmers who are rich in contrast to pickers, and growers, lord over the laborers. Alone do they have the resources to make laws? For the most part not. As a class do they? Damn strait. The thing that gets me is that I've heard that this same system of slavery exists in countries where whites are a minority. Is this true? This makes me think that whatever the population demographics, the dynamics of capitalism remain in effect. Are people of color that more inclined to fight for thier freedom, and the freedom of others than whites? Are people of color that have money more likely to buy ethicly produced products and foods than white people?
Is it true that in countries like mexico, and columbia hispanic owners lord over workers the same as they do here?
I'm not arguing that the american agricultural system, or institutional racism is good. Hell I hope the revolution "by and for" people of color doesn't decend into an interacial blood bath. I hope you suceed. The body of my hopes rest in a desire that on the road to our "revolutions" we find common ground, for all our sakes.

Why should protecting our borders, which by the way, should be done by the Federal Government, cause Latinos to have such a fit? There are LAWS and RULES for coming into this country and no one seems to be following those rules now! All the Minutemen and supporters want is to enforce our laws of LEGAL IMMIGRATION. WE ARE FED UP WITH OUR TAX MONEY PAYING FOR BENEFITS FOR LAW BREAKING ILLEGALS. Come into this country legally, pay your share of taxes, and we will welcome you. Break the law by entering illegally and you are nothing but a common criminal. What makes illegals think we owe them payment in free anchor baby births, welfare, housing, and other benefits? By gosh, if I have to pay for all this then I am gonna claim a whole herd of illegal aliens on my taxes this year! Sure, violence will erupt. The minutemen have to defend themselves from the trouble makers. Soon our country will see the problem with our borders and we will close them. If the government won't do it, the US LEGAL CITIZENS WILL!
