Seeing Lee Hamilton (CFR) dodge questions on C-Span rtsp://video.c-span.org/project/ter/ter_wj052605_hamilton.rm got me to thinking...
Lee was co-chair of the non-independent 9/11 Commission. Its remnants still live on, as "The 9-11 Public Discourse Project". It is being funded by a bunch of our most noble, philanthropic, humanitarian, non-profit tax-exempt
foundations (the list reads much like those who fund so many PBS productions...): http://www.9-11pdp.org/about/contributors.htm
There are more connectable dots at http://www.homelandsec.org/about.asp -- these are the folks (you'll recognize some of the names of this, yet another, foundation) who are working overtime, collaborating across party lines (sic) to market the concept of "homeland" to us; a rather easy sell in a climate of fear.
This reminded me of Norman Dodd, director of research for the Reece Committee, and what he'd learned -- and warned us -- about tax-exempt foundations. (See http://www.wealth4freedom.com/truth/13/NDODD.htm for details.)
Mr. Dodd was recorded shortly before he died, regarding what he'd learned, as a Congressional investigator, about tax-exempt foundations. You should listen to it. (So should Democracy Whenever's Amy Goodman!) transcript here: http://www.supremelaw.org/authors/dodd/interview.htm

How can we sing about living in "land of the free and the home of the brave" when so much pertinent information has been withheld from We The People?
It says in the Declaration Of Independence that a just government derives its power to govern from the consent of the governed. How the hell are We supposed to provide consent without sufficient information?
Clearly, 'our' government, which has long tolerated -- and now succumbed to -- such evil influences, is no longer serving our needs...
