Civilian enforcment of federal law raises interesting questions...

Sometimes Santa should Stay Home
The cililian enforcement of federal law as given by the minuteman fiaco raises some interesting questions.

It is well that the minuteman did not allow on detainment.

It is very well indeed, It is unclear as to where you take your prisoner. And who to take prisoner indeed.

What my point is why just enforce immigration law?

Why not federal criminal law? Perhaps election law would be worth consideration. Shoud you arrest a candidate that you feel did not win an election squarely?

WHY NOT ENFORCE THE VOTE COUNT? WHY QUIT THERE? HOW ABOUT TAKING OTHER POSITIONS TO TASK!

Yes this is an opening that I think that the minuteman and right wing bigots ought to take great care in allowing vigilante enforcement.

PERHAP CITIZENS SHOULD ENFORCE LAWS THAT COMPANIES OR POLITICIANS SEEM TO HAVE BROKEN. FOR EXAMPLE GOVERNERS SETTLING FAKE ELECTRICAL POWER CHARGES ON THE CHEAP, OR ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTIBUTIONS FOR TRIPS TO IRELAND. WHY DO OREGONIANS UTILITIY COMMISIONERS ALLOW US TO DIAL 503 OR 971 WHILE CITIZENS OF OTHER STATES DO NOT...

This is the can of worms that vigilantism opens. This is why we need to follow the rule of law. Selective civilian enforcement of our laws of favor is nuts. Nuts like minutemen.

Farmers need affordable labor too. just sayin.... They may lose the farm if they can't get the crops in and big agribusiness probably wants that. Where do reps of farm country stand on this issue.

"This is why we need to follow the rule of law."

Bunch of hot air! We don't live under rule of law. We live under criminal elites repressing people through frameworks of law, courts, bureaucracies, etc., for their own private interests. People are getting around to understanding that finally and seeing through the lies of the USA.

People innately have the right of jurisdiction when any government fails to deliver, particluarly in this minutemen case. People never give it up: it is always stolen and taken from them. So enforcing the law when the federal government is a criminal enterprise and is intentionally falling down on the job is a bad idea? I don't think so.

Awake and Mad

If you believe America operates under "rule of law" then you haven't been in court lately.
The Department of Justice and their court system is really Just-Us and the hell with the American people.
