VFP Film Night: Afghan Stories

This film shows ordinary people coping with turmoil in the midst of the US invasion of Afghanistan. Taran Davies and Afghan American Walied Osman present stories of a refugee couple, a revered elder dedicated to peace and his soldier son, an international aid worker, US soldiers and Afghan warlords. Jo'an Sterr will lead a discussion following the film.
Location: Marshall Elementary School. 6400 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver.
Time: Doors open at 6:45 PM. Movie starts at 7:00. Discussion following.
Open to all. Admission free. Donations to cover costs accepted.

Location: Marshall Elementary School's Media Center, 6400 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver , WA 98661

This workshop is to provide help and resources (and the computers!) for young people to complete an application for conscientious objector status with the Selective Service. Local experts will be on hand to advise and assist young people and parents.

We'll also have pizza and refreshments as we think and work!
Free and open to all. (donations for costs accepted)
