Friends and Fellow Workers,

This Saturday, March 5th, you are invited to attend a fundraiser to help send
local labor and social justice organizer, Anne Eldred, to El Salvador. The event will feature several speakers, not to mention delicious
food! Presentations will be heard from a member of Voz talking about the
struggles of Portland's day laborers, an HERE member in exile from El Salvador,
a representative of the Chiapas Delegation, and a member of PCASC illuminating
current struggles and economic events in Central America.

Anne works with an organization called CISPES ( Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador) and the main focus of her position will be to coordinate a delegation of labor organizers to participate in the Salvadoran May Day festivities, (last year with 50,000 in attendance) meet with local labor and social change leaders, and broaden the understanding of CAFTA and Free Trade Agreements, both socially and economically. This will be a fundraiser, but also educational and will provide information on how to get involved in the delegation if you are interested in participating.

Come on down, listen to amazing speakers, eat some great food, and help fund the culture of solidarity between the working class of Portland and Central America!
