This event features live music by Brian Maloney. His set includes favorites from his activist music albums as well as many of his new songs. "Migration", "Symphoney of One", "Occidental Ox Without Reason", and "Occidental Ox Bygone Days." Among his many well known performances was his headline performance at the Sisters of the Road Cafe sponsored March for Peace in January. Are you a peace activist painter, artist of another medium, or peace activist musician? If so, you are invited to exhibit your work, and play your music at this event. It will be held in the Northstar Ballroom, at 635 North Killingsworth Court, Portland Oregon.
Although this event is in Portland, we greatly encourage peace activists and related groups from all over the state of Oregon, Washington, Northern California and Idaho to contact us.
We would be happy to reserve a half of a table space for you free of charge at our event on February 19th, 2005 in hopes of creating stronger networks. The Feb 19th event will begin at 6:30pm, though we greatly encourage you to arrive by 5:30pm to set up your table. Unfortunately, if you do not arrive by 6:30pm, we will have to give your reserved space away as table space is given away on a first come first serve basis. If you would like this reservation, simply contact us by email.
Everyone is invited to attend and participate in this free event and enjoy vegan and vegetarian food, zines, independent press, an arts exhibition and many other trade fair and live music attractions. If you bring a vegan or vegetarian dish (for 5-20 people) please bring a small card which lists all the ingredients in the dish. Also, please bring your own plate and cup as we encourage more than recycling to keep the planet beautiful.
