Speedy Gonzalez: The Law of Rule
There is much talk of ethics coming from the
White House and religious leaders, and the
ethics they are referring to is sex -- no
hanky-panky from George II, and no to same-
sex marriage, and so on.
What can be said about the selection of Alberto
Gonzalez as Attorney General, a man who says
that the Geneva Convention is considered to be
quaint and obsolete?
Alberto Gonzalez is now the Attorney General of
the Empire, having been selected to be the
supreme law enforcement official of the land.
The Emperor's spin doctors and spin jockeys
have much lauded Gonzalez's appointment as
Attorney General, which is considered as
historically important, because, for the first
time in the Empire's history, a Hispanic male
has become the director of one of highest
offices within the Empire.
The White House says that the U.S. public should
be inspired by Gonzalez's rise from rags to
riches, as proof that democracy and the American
dream is still alive and doing well throughout
Patrick Leahy said that Gonzalez's humble begin-
nings, selling refreshments at sporting events,
and his subsequent rise to the Texas State House
and White House is an inspiration to the public
and a tribute to Gonzalez and his family.
According to White House media spin doctors, the
Hispanic community gave Bush 44% of their "votes"
in the November re-selection, and that the
appointment of Gonzalez is a reflection of
Hispanic pride, even among those who did not
support or vote for Bush.
There is more at stake than the cultural pride
in the selection of Gonzalez as A.G.
This appointment passed the Senate without any
opposition, and it shows the Empire has now
openly moved to full-blown fascism, without a
murmur of protest from the Empire's royal
Gonzalez is considered as the guru of torture
within White House circles, and of the
Empire's foreign policy.
Not concerned with the rights of "terrorist
'suspects'" or "possible informants", or with
the Geneva Convention and International law,
Gonzalez had DoJ lawyers look into what defined
torture, and to change the Empire's laws
concerning the use of torture, both abroad and
Gonzales sent a message to George II in January
of 2002 which said that the "war against 'terrorism'
is a new kind of war, and which renders the
Geneva Convention totally obsolete, and that
there are no limitations on how "enemy combat-
ants" are to be questioned and/or tortured."
The Empire's declaration of the Geneva Convention
as "quaint" and "obsolete", and which considers
it nothing more than some ancient relic to be
displayed on the "Antiques Roadshow."
Gonzalez's 2002 message was no accident, because
six months later Gonzalez approved a Justice
Department memo which said that international
treaties, the Geneva Convention, and even U.S.
law to not apply to the Emperor's declaration
that all "enemy combatants" will be detained,
interrogated, and tortured.
The Emperor's edict further states that this
policy also applies to "domestic terrorists"
and that it is all right for the Empire's
authorities to torture the royal subjects.
According to the memo, the Emperor has given
full approval for the Empire's authorities
to use any manner of interrogation and torture,
and not worry about violating international
laws and treaties.
Jay Bybee, the Assistant Attorney General said that
it is not torture if the "enemy combatant" is not
dead, or at least close to it, and that it is only
considered to be torture if the "terrorist" suffers
a "serious physical injury", such as death.
Gonzalez, like others in the Emperor's Cabal,
expressed their "amazement" that the Empire's
Imperial troops were torturing prisoners at
the Abu Ghraib prison, and since they weren't
dead it really was not torture.
Apparently, there is no place for ethics among
the Empire's royal subjects, it is too much of
a burden for them to bear.
The Empire uses its authority to keep the public's
attention focused on other things, like their work
(meeting daily production quotas), shopping, houses
and property, TV's, video games, DVD's.....they
encourage the masses to keep with the Jones's, to
pursue the chrome American dream (nightmare).
