Last night on ABC, Peter Jennings inadvertently called the protesters against the inauguration in Washington "Anti-War Protesters," but such a designation seems to cloud the main issue, which is elections fraud, i.e., the illegal manipulation of vote tallies to turn the results of an election in the favor of the candidate THAT THE PEOPLE DID NOT VOTE FOR. On January 20th in Portland, the protest against elections fraud dominated the sentiments of those on the street. The main reason that people are protesting all over the country is that their votes have been stolen.
Since Bush and his corporate allies at Triad, Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia have (for the present, anyway) successfully carried out their attack against the security of the American people by stabbing at the very heart of the democratic process of political self-determination, it stands to reason that he and his allies should be making a stab at our national, environmental, and social security as well. The anti-war, environmental, and civil rights protesters are protesting the undesirable effects of a rigged election.
After gathering in front of the Convention Center, the members of Code Pink and their numerous allies set off across the Burnside Bridge to join the members of the larger protest that was gathering in the north park blocks. (In the meantime, another large protest was occurring on the PSU campus in the south park blocks as well!). Passing drivers shouted and honked their support for the protesters and their cause.
An attack on the electoral process is an attack on the security of the United States of America. Article 3, Section 3 of the US Constitution defines such an attack as an act of treason, which is impeachable.
The outing of a CIA agent, Valery Plaime, by forces high up in the White House is a criminal act, very probably a felony. Felony is an impeachable offense.
In the 80s, G.W. Bush was involved in four counts of insider trading, the most notorious being his swindling of the stockholders of Harken Energies out of over $800,000.
If unchecked, what will this long-term criminal do next the US people, to the world?
What Term, I Mean Sentence, Should Bush Serve in the White-, I Mean Jailhouse?
An Unelected President is a Threat to our Security
Protesters gathered in the North Park Blocks on Inauguration Day until about 5:00 pm, then marched up Broadway to join the South Park Blocks protesters. Counter to the claims of the local media, the combined protest is estimated to have consisted of anywhere from 6,000 to over 10,000 demonstrators.
