Legal Representation Available 21.Jan.2005 11:56

Alan Graf-Northwest Constitutional Rights Center peopleslawyer@qwest.net

The Center is providing a contact attorney for those who were arrested at the protest last night. His name is Lawrence Taylor and can be reached at 303-2282578. Lawrence will try to connect folks up with lawyers for representation in criminal matters.

The Center is also interested in any videotapes and/or pictures documenting police violations or abuse. There was one incident where the police forced people to move off the sidewalk into the park creating a hazardous situation where people were falling down and could have been trampled. The police used batons in this situation and threatened protestors with bean bag guns that were pointed at the faces of protestors who were all completely non-violent. We would like to see videotape of this as well.

For tapes, photos and/or witnesses please contact Alan Graf at  peopleslawyer@qwest.net.

Thanks to all for keeping the First Amendment alive and vibrant.

Alan Graf
Interim Director NW Constitutional Right Center
