A bullshit, half-assed review 14.Jan.2005 15:42

SO I would recomend this movie to everyone. It is well edited (some holes but mike has made it clear that it is being worked on), well narrated (sometimes funny, sometimes sad... always real), amazing footage and the people and landscape hold sharp contrast to each other.

THis was a great documentary... I was soo pissed when I left the theatre (mainly because in one scene a starving Iraqi girl is given an oreo and asked, "who's your daddy/" by an American... that girl deeded RICE, WATER and NUTRITION... not a goddamned OREO) but was chewing on the parts that made me think for days.

Se this film... buy the DVD and show it to your friends.

Fuck F9/11... this is the untold story.

i saw the movie at the laurelhurst, and i thought it was excellent. the filmmaker, mike shiley, did something that is very difficult to do: he made a passionate film that lets multiple sides speak in their own words, while at the same time limiting the personal dogma. the film is real, and raw, and powerful, and it reminded me that the vast majority of us humans are victims of the global power games of the elites, and it is ultimately up to us as individuals to take responsibility for our own future and try not to get caught in the crossfire.

see this film. it will shake you up a bit, and just maybe make you question some of your assumptions.

the filmmaker, michael shiley, has been appearing at all of the showings at the laurelhurst theater, and he has been selling copies of the dvd at each showing. if you go to an actual showing, you have a good chance of buying one there.
