Spay and Neuter Your Heterosexuals

The streets are full of them, breeding is out of control, and how many more have to suffer without good homes before something is done? This web site helps solve this terrible problem.

Hetero and Fixed 13.Jan.2005 18:09

and happy

This is hilarious. As a hetero with no kids (ever), and as a person whose right-wing brother believes only the rich should be allowed to have children, I wholly support this site.

pack 'em in 13.Jan.2005 19:48

let me begin

As a "hetero" who is always open-minded I totally resent this.

I once heard that homosexuals would be the saviors of society since they'd prevent overpopulation because, well, when they breed it's not like a million babies will spring forth. Adoption is totally cool if the child is happy and she/he is raised in a safe, comfortable environment with peers to communicate with.

Sexuality has always been and always will be private and between two people. No matter how much tabloid payola and porno they throw at the masses this will never change because jah woman is divine and man reasons.

All you hypocrites and wayward skanks can move to that big isolated island or blast off on your spaceship to Neptune. Humanity is moving forward.

The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement - May We Live Long and Die Out!
 http://www.vhemt.org/aboutvhemt.htm#tet

Q: How do I join?

Being VHEMT is a state of mind. All you have to do to join is make the choice to refrain from further reproduction. For some, this is an easy decision to make. For others, it's a moot issue. But for many, joining The Movement means making a monumental personal sacrifice.

The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement is not an organization -- no membership dues go to officials in offices. We are millions of individuals, each doing what we feel is best.

Loosely, humans relate to VHEMT in one of three ways: Volunteer, Supporter, and Potential Volunteer or Supporter. You are invited to select the one which comes closest to your current perspective on The Movement.

VHEMT Volunteer: "All of us should voluntarily refrain from reproducing further, bringing about the eventual extinction of Homo sapiens."

VHEMT Supporter: "Intentional creation of one more of us by any of us is unjustifiable at this time, but extinction of our species goes too far."

Potential VHEMT Volunteer or Supporter: "Stop trying to put words in my mouth. Maybe I agree, maybe I disagree, and maybe I'd like to know a little more about it before I decide."

The Rich and The Stupid 14.Jan.2005 07:19

Queer Planet

The idea that the rich should only have children makes believe that the rich live on a different finite planet than the poor. We can see in the news that this is hardly true.

While they may live in big houses with guards, the rush of slum dwelling population quickly advances to their gates.

Oh and if you want one more reason to support spaying and neutering of your heterosexuals, please not Pack Em In.

Jah Woman is divine? Tell it to Condoleeza Rice and Ann Coulter. Man reasons?
Uh, do you know who the president of the United States is?

Isn't this what we should be fighting against? 14.Jan.2005 13:56

?

By making a permanent "fix" we are taking away the chioce to have children ourselves. So by taking away this choice, we are basically oppressing ourselves, because isn't that exactly what oppression is? taking away our choices and freedom?

i'm not saying that it's a bad idea, if you don't want to have kids then don't, that's your choice. i think the last thing we need is another unwanted kid when we have so many right now that need loving homes.

i'm just saying that you can oppress yourself without even realizing it, and this is one of those topics. make your choice, but leave yourself the freedom to make choices in the future, too. who knows what you'll want in 10 or 15 years.

Response 14.Jan.2005 15:41

fixed and happy

Bosh. I had my tubes tied under the Reagan Administration, when it looked like RvW might bite the dust. But I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't been sure. No, that's not oppression. That's freedom! I made a choice, and it's been great. I feel sorry for people who make a choice and then change their minds, making the rest of us look weak. I only waited as long as I did because I heard that doctor's wouldn't "fix" young women, and I didn't want to be humiliated. I also didn't think my insurance would cover the procedure, but it did.

I encourage anyone who isn't sure to use more temporary methods. But those of us who make a choice are using our human privilege to direct our own lives.

Rude but on target 14.Jan.2005 17:22

MURMUR

The 'Spay and Neuter your heterosexuals' article might be comically rude, but it's on target. Not only have human beings created a ruinous hierarchy of the wealthy, powerful, and the priestly caste throughout the recent periods of its history, but it is also overpopulating at an alarming rate. A large part of the blame must fall on the Church, who to this day (as I understand it) is against birth control for their usual stupid reasons.

Let a million soiled diapers fill the Vatican!

the cult of appropriate behavior and wealth 15.Jan.2005 07:44

Queer Planet

I don't mean to be rude, but appropriate behavior has taken on the role of fetish in this society. People are so fucking timid. It's amazing that this younger generation actually spawned from the likes of radical hippies, civil rights protesters and the like.

You will get no where by being polite to fascists. That doesn't mean violence, but well placed overt behavior and commentary, pointed and rude, can make a world of difference.

Also, where does one draw the line between wealth and poverty, especially in consumer rich societies like America, Japan and Europe? Bush and his ilk seem to be uniquely defined as the wealthy elite by people who have cars, computers, kids, houses, and all the rest. This seems a tad odd since Bush is bringing in the resources to keep us all comfortable.

As resources run out, the process of gathering resources becomes more violent. Bush and company have to kill more innocent people to keep the oil, tin, rubber, timber and etc flowing to the stores. Does that mean that the stores will be empty today out of protest? No way. And even if they were, where would THOSE people who work in said stores get money to live?

It's a cycle.

People breed, then those people need resources to live, their government/corporate/military power keeps the resources flowing, which creates stores of goods where people work to sell these products. The workers do this to gather the capital to live and to breed some more. These new people born from breeding need more resources, and around and around you go.

You can't stop people from needing food. Nor from needing air and water. Housing is also nice and necessary in some climates. Therefore in this equation you have to focus on two elements. Resource gathering methods to survive and breeding.

However, the more resources run out the more desperate people become to gather them. The line between necessity and luxury never gets clearly defined, therefore resource collection takes on a frenetic pace, as we see in the world today.

The more people, the more resources run out. People want and need all sorts of things and they are willing to kill you to get it.

Okay, so where does that leave us for options?

Class?

leftist wiedrness 15.Jan.2005 08:49

mom

Often I have suspected that many of my fellow lefties didn't like kids much. Now I know. If you don't ike kids, get fixed. But keep your politcal guilt trips to yourself. I know it's hard to go to rallies and fight cops, or go to long meetings day in and day out, when we have children who think this stuff is boring as hell (they may have apoint)and would rather do fun things. How about "down with boring adults"?

Dear Mom 15.Jan.2005 13:44

Queer Planet

You make the point of heterosexism so well.

After, I assume, reading all of those statistics about starving, war torn, and prosituted children, the depletion of resources and species, what does Mom have to say about it all.

Well, we are just weird to bring it up and we must dislike children.

Ever think that perhaps we like children so much we don't want to see another one starve to death nor die in a war for resources. Ever think that maybe your kids get bored because they see the sheer ridiculousness of your meetings and your causes, since the real issue is overpopulation and the destruction of resources it causes?

Thanks Mom. You really do set an example for the rest of us.

Blame 15.Jan.2005 13:47

Queer Planet

Blame it on the cops. Blame it on the corporations. Blame it on Bush. Just don't blame it on me.

My kids are okay. Your kids are corrupt. My family is fine. Your family is the problem. My possessions are cool. Yours obviously show how addicted you are to corporate culture. My job is righteous. Yours pollutes the planet and steals from the poor.

No wonder kids today take up weapons and shoot each other. Their parents are insane.

One more thing Mom 15.Jan.2005 13:59

Queer Planet

You should hang this on your refrigerator.

My kids are alright. Your kids are a nuisance and ruining the planet.
My family is great. Your family just makes things worse for everyone.
My possessions represent my identity as a conscious consumer.
Your possessions show complete disregard for life on this planet.
My job is righteous. Your job pollutes the planet and steals from the poor.
My politics represent hard work, efficient meetings, and democracy.
Your politics are just weird and hateful of children.

It's not wonder kids today commit suicide or find guns and kill each other at such alarming rates. Their parents are insane.

Leftist weirdness is when someone has kids and then complains about environmental destruction. Leftist weirdness is people with families complaining about Bush and corporate greed from the comfort of their homes, while typing on oil-based computers.

Leftist weirdness is thinking you can have it all. Kids, house, cars, toys, travel, a great city to live in, a good job, and money in the bank, AND a completely functioning healthy environment, IF ONLY those darn greedy corporate people would stop being so mean.

Running out of resources? Crank up the wars for what's left. Got to keep these people shopping and breeding.

Leftist weirdness is thinking that by attending meetings and protests it will clear your soul of being a part of the problem.

Your kids know it, and all the Ritalin in the world won't solve their agitation over their fear of what happens next.

They aren't bored. They are stunned with disbelief over your blindness.
