TO UNDERSTAND HAARP: NWO's Scalar Electromagnetics: secret 20th century parallel tech path

Looks like the trolls are busy spamming it up on Haarp. Must be concerned about growing awareness of the new era of Haarp geophysical warfare.

The technology is nothing exotic in fact. Much more simple than nuclear physics--just radio electronics, electromagnetism and geophysics. While haarp is billed as exclusively high frequency, however, it also can indirectly generate ELF-extremely low frequency waves--which is pertinent to concerns about seismic warfare. This is done by simply modulating (switching on and off)the haarp HF transmission at a very low frequency. The ionosphere itself (electrojet currents) is used as a virtual antenna which generates relatively high power ELF transmissions. These long radiowaves can penetrate earth and seawater (they are used for naval communications to submarines), can be used to create standing waves, and if tuned to a resonant frequency, can stimulate geophysical instabilities, on fault lines for example, to ultimately release massive energy--in this case as an earthquake.

Whenever someone says you MUST buy this book to understand--that's the time to put on your skeptical spectacles, if you know what I mean. I continue to be distressed at the appalling amount of ignorance that is spread over the internet and taken as gospel truth. Be a critical reader, folks.

SSomeone's concerned that books written on HAARP are being finally published on the net. HAARP is supposed to be kept under the hat and ordinary people are not supposed to know what the military has been doing to the planet. Imagine blowing holes into the atmosphere, heating up the ionosphere...- letting more radiation rain on the planet!

Imagine if everyone knew of these secret destructive experiments going on! If you tell naive people they just look at you sceptically and dismiss you as a nut. BUT if you tell them that there are well documented books on this topic,that there are ex-military people concerned who urge the public to look into the actions of the military then they can do their own research. Remember, the taxpayers you and I pay for these very dangerous,very irresponsible acts of the military. The people own the miltary yet the military pisses magnoelectric radiation and god knows what other germs on them.

These books do not just inform, they call indirectly for actions; they suggest that the military budgets must be shaved to the point that they are under civilian control not the other way around.
Soldiers fought fascism in the second world war. 40 million people died to prevent military dictatorships and ironically the taxpayers are now funding the most unimaginable form of fascism.

You're actually the first person I've seen on Indymedia who's been able to back up his allegations about HAARP with concise arguments instead of a mixture of utter nonsense and absolute gobbledygook.

That sounds like a form of amplitude modulation. There's millions of HF transmitters worldwide (i.e. the ones used for more normal communications and broadcast purposes), most of which use some form or another of amplitude modulation. I have no idea what their cumulative output power is, but it's got to be immense in comparison to HAARP -- there's on the order of thousands of shortwave broadcast transmitters (each with a typical power in hundreds of kilowatts). Wouldn't all of this transmitting activity be causing a profound destabilization? Shouldn't we have noticed an alarming frequency of gradually increasing earthquakes since the dawn of the radio age?

Hmmm. As I've been led to understand it, this process is relatively inefficient. Why would they bother generating ELF in a roundabout way like this instead of just generating it directly?

Speaking of directly generated ELF electromagnetic radiation, every piece of wire connected to a commercial alternating-current power grid is an ELF transmitter (at 50 or 60 Hz depending on which part of the world you're in). This sort of gets back to another variant of a question I just asked -- shouldn't we have been seeing an increase of earthquakes as electrification became widespread? And why aren't there lots of damaging earthquakes happening in places like Northern Europe or the Eastern Seaboard, places that have been highly electrified with AC for a century or more?

I wonder if you could be a little more specific here and try to detail the exact mechanisms by which this is supposed to happen.

much more concerned about the junk science in those books and (even more) by the groupthink and authoritarian attitudes of those who treat the books as gospel truth.

So much of what I've seen posted on Indymedia about HAARP is written by (and references things written by) folks who obviously have little or no knowledge of either physics or mathematics, and yet who proclaim them experts on such subjects.

That's bad enough, but their attitude towards skepticism is even worse. It's outright hostility and name-calling. One of the really good things about science is how so many of its values reflect the values of anti-authoritarianism. You're not supposed to just accept something on someone's say-so. If you're unconvinced, you're supposed to doubt others claims. If you make a claim, you're expected back it up with experimental evidence, and moreover you're expected to describe your experiments in enough detail that those who doubt your assertions about your results can try the experiments themselves. Respect for ideas is based on convincing others, not coercing them.

These values are completely absent on the part of most who harp on HAARP here. The attitude appears to instead be one of religious fervor, following one's leaders (i.e. the authors of the books making the farfetched claims) blindly, and raining down a rhetoric of hellfire and damnation on those apostates who dare commit heresy.

Perhaps worst of all is how all this quasi-religious conspiracy-mongering sucks up the personal energy of many concerned people and diverts them from spending time fighting very real threats to our beautiful planet, things like imperialism and global warming.

And while, unlike Peter, I'm yet to be convinced that HAARP is an earthquake-triggering weapons system, suppose he's right and it is. He's at least posted something that seems to start out as a logical and concise argument. (I hope he comes back and addresses my doubts about it.) I really don't think he is, but suppose for sake of argument he's right: in that case the extremely poor arguments on the part of the conpiracy-mongers have actually (as Peter contents) helped cover up the very conspiracy they purport to expose, by virtue of their extremely poor quality.

All of this has gotten me thinking seriously about maybe teaching a Freeskool class on the physics behind HAARP. To that end, I went down to the PSU bookstore earlier this week and took a peek at the text for the Physics Department's "Electricity and Magnetism" course. Continually scattered throughout the book, after new claims are made, are invitations for the reader to stop and think for him or herself whether the conclusion just made (or the result of the calculation just made) is sensible. That, especially, came as a breath of fresh air and stands into stark contrast with the mindset of the conspiracists I've run into.

And that's why I side with the physicists on this one.

The scientific method of questioning was to inculcate the values of scepticism and the questioning of "authority" - a given! But military scientific research does not respect the anti-authoritarianism values nor does it allow civilian scientists or anyone for that matter to question the value of the army research.

The army is a killing machine and its scientists killers in kind or in mind.

Quite so; there's many instances of scientists enthusiastically gathering knowledge that it's pretty certain will be used for nefarious purposes.

My statement was "many of [science's] values reflect the values of anti-authoritarianism". I chose my words carefully; I deliberately chose not to type "science is perfect" or "science's values are exactly the same as those of anti-authoritarianism".

The biggest problem with science is an error of omission: research is to be pursued for its own sake, under the hidden premise that it's always worthwhile. There's nothing in the scientific method about examining the motives of the person funding your research and considering the ethical implications thereof.

This lack of any intrinsic morality lets science easily be exploited for evil purposes.

That said, the logical response to the deficiency is to address it, rather than to abandon the system wholesale, thus throwing out the baby with the bathwater. I see no way in which a movement based on groupthink and blind belief can produce any semblance of liberation.
