The Washington Post newspaper has apparently initiated a propaganda site that will benefit the US military in spreading misinformation about the occupation, and how it has been received in the Middle East.

"We live in a dirty and dangerous world. There are some things
the general public does not need to know, and shouldn't.
I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take
legitimate steps to keep its secrets and when the press
can decide whether to print what it knows."
- Katherine Graham, late owner of the Washington Post,
in a speech to CIA recruits in 1988.

"The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone
of any significance in the major media."
- William Colby, former director of the CIA

"Any dictator would admire the uniformity
and obedience of the media"
- Noam Chomsky

"Truth is the greatest of all national possessions.
A state, a people, a system which suppresses the truth
or fears to publish it, deserves to collapse."
- Kurt Eisner

"Whoever controls the media--the images--controls the culture."
- Allen Ginsberg

Subpoena their "compost bin"!

Eventually, some soldier who is sick of seeing the dead rolled over by tanks, or starving children, or the deplorable methods of torture used against the Iraqi non-combatants, or seeing their own comrades begin to suffer from DU will upload photos that in another time would be called PHOTOJOURNALISM. If they haven't already, that is.

As soldiers, it their sworn duty to protect the Constitution of the United States. On the front lines, digital cameras are as effective as any other weapon system to do just that.

So tell those you know who are over there to go ahead and post the NEWS since AP now stands for 'American Pravda' (interesting how only a few years ago 'American Pravda' would sound like some right-wing jab at so-called liberal media).
