election fraud

Eat it.

Here. Have some pie.

Now before you bite in, perhaps we should talk about those troubling rumors you've heard. It seems someone tested a very thin slice of this pie and...er...um...found a small amount of cyanide in it.
Well, let me put your mind at rest. The amount of cyanide was not enough to kill anyone. And just because cyanide was found in that one tiny piece does not mean that it exists in the rest of the pie.

Why, anyone who thinks that way must be crazy!

So go ahead. Eat your pie. If you show any hesitation, if you ask for me to cook up a whole new pie using untainted ingredients -- well, you simply must be one of those loony conspiracy theorists.

And that, in essence, is the argument offered by the Los Angeles Times and other mainstream forums when they discuss our troubling vote. They've stopped saying that all is well. Instead, they admit that, yes, there was a certain amount of fraud in the election -- but not enough to change the results. So don't worry.

True, Bev Harris found original poll tapes in Florida which proved that the copies handed to her by election officials were fraudulent. But look at it this way: She didn't collect original poll tapes for the entire state, now, did she? Just a few precincts. So you can hardly argue that the whole Florida vote was tainted.

What's that, you say? The other poll tapes were no doubt destroyed before Bev could get to them?

See? Just as I said: No hard proof of vote tampering.

Now shut up and eat your pie. Every bite. You don't want anyone calling you a loopy conspiracy theorist, do you?

There will never be another free and fair election in America ever again if George Bush is inaugurated as the President of the United States on January 20th. 2005 or at least until there is a civil war restablishing an open democracy.  http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2004/11/304698.shtml

better things to worry about

than if tweedle dum or tweedle dee is the fucking president. Organize now, because it's not like your votes matter to them anyways.

Miami Herald article shows that Kerry may have won Florida, despite its headline
Posted by pointsoflight. Added to homepage Tue Nov 30th 2004, 08:28 AM ET

In an article published yesterday, reporters from the Miami Herald provided data from hand counts that they conducted in several northern "dixiecrat" counties in Florida. They concluded that nothing was awry, and in fact, went so far as to title the article "No flaw in Bush's state win."

Here's a link to a reprint of the story that doesn't require registration:
 http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/20021...

Here are the tallies for Union County:

Bush original: 3396
Bush hand count: 3393 (-3)
Kerry original: 1251
Kerry hand count: 1272 (+21)
Net change: Kerry +24

Here are the tallies for Lafayette County:

Bush original: 2460
Bush hand count: 2452 (-8)
Kerry original: 845
Kerry hand count: 848 (+3)
Net change: Kerry +11

It's a bit more complicated for the third county they looked at, Suwannee County, because they only report the totals for a hand count of "almost 60%" of the ballots. Here is the result of their 60% hand count:

Bush 60% hand count: 6140
Kerry 60% hand count: 2984

Which gives us the following tally for Suwannee County:

Bush original: 11153
Kerry original: 4522
Extrapolation of Bush 100% hand count: 10549
Extrapolation of Kerry 100% hand count: 5126
Net change: Kerry +1208

In the original count, 71.2% of the votes cast for Bush or Kerry (n=15675) went to Bush. In the hand count, this drops to 67.3%. That is a significant drop. Let's translate that into numbers. If you take the percentages from the hand count and extrapolate, here's what you get:

Bush = 15675 x .673 = 10549 (loss of 604)
Kerry = 15675 x .327 = 5126 (gain of 604)
Net change: Kerry +1208

A switch of 1208 votes in a county with less than 16K votes cast is obviously huge. Now maybe there's a very large percentage of Bush votes in that remaining 40% that they didn't count, but we can't know that because they didn't count them. Which begs the question...why did they stop counting in Suwannee County when their tabulation of 60% of the ballots deviated so much from the original total? And without actually counting those remaining ballots, how can they possibly report that nothing is amiss when the data they have so far suggests a possible problem?

They conclude that there's "no flaw in Bush's state win." Sorry, but what I see is a possible gain of 1243 votes for Kerry from three small counties in which only 23627 ballots were cast. That represents about 0.3% of the ballots cast for Bush and Kerry statewide. If Kerry gained votes at the same rate statewide, he picks up nearly 400,000 votes and wins Florida.

Thanks Miami Herald, you just revealed to us in your hand counts that there's a possibility that Kerry won Florida.

Editor's Note: I made a minor edit above to show the Suwannee County results side-by-side like the results from the other counties.

It matters who's President.

WASHINGTON - Workers' complaints about being denied overtime pay, wages and job leave guaranteed by law rose slightly this year to the highest level in four years, the Labor Department said.

However, penalties for violations and awards of back wages fell.

It may be the case that often Republicans and Democrats don't seem that far apart on policy issues. But when it comes to enforcing the law we do have. There is a world of difference. Last week it was reported:

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 (AP) - Federal enforcement of civil rights laws has dropped sharply since 1999, as the level of complaints received by the Justice Department has remained relatively constant, according a study released Sunday.

Republican don't enforce labor law, they don't enforce environmental law, they don't enforce civil rights law and the only IRS enforcement they are interested in is making sure that working mothers aren't fudging for their Earned Income Tax Credit.

It matters who's President.

i agree that you got to make democracy work 30.Nov.2004 21:03

dude

the dems have some rotten apples as ofcorse do the repuplicans. Do not stereotype too much. do not be a bigot. Just force the system to work. It never really has but the efforts seem to echo
positively in history. Things can get better.

the fight is neocons 01.Dec.2004 05:25

come get some

neocons first, liberals second...we have all seen the laying down of democrats, wether it's complicit, blackmail, corruption, cowardice, whatever...we know that their are two globalists fighting for power. One side says kill em all', the other says, scare them into submission. One hand washes the other.

bush is talking about leaving iraq in 2006(end of 2005), this is an attempt to quell the neocons that are opposing him now(they want to keep power, if they have to slink away and try again, they will). It's called the art of war, if they continue, they know they'll be chased out of washington...in order to make sure the land grab and corporate takeover of Iraq happens succesfully...americans must believe an "election" has taken place...and then our work is done.

What the people of Iraq will get, is living in more fear then they were under Saddam. Our soldiers or maybe some fake nato unit, will become cops over there. They will quell dissent, and allawi or some other puppet will establish the same fake democracy we have here. The only difference is, those people have lived in wars for years, they know guerilla warfare, allawi will become another bin laden, or saddam in the years to come...another cia assett that we support and then use untill they no longer become usefull. Then, once allawi realizes he too has been screwed by the US govt., then SADR might show his face again, we'll give him weapons, start another war, and life goes on.

Oh yeah, by the way, this is with your money their using. lol

This has been the republican/democrat playbook for years. Some democrats are waking up to this, but don't know what to do, support democrats that speak truth, like Cynthia Mckinney, Mark Dayton, etc. Remember, Cynthia won her election...not John. So she spoke truth and she won, john didn't and well, he also didn't mind conceding.

Truth always wins in the end...get on the winning teams, infiltrate the message boards, like they do to us here and push truth! Don't link out, link in.
