The 2004 Election: A Republican Conspiracy?

I like this comment at the Democrat blog Dailykos because it points out the various means by which the Republican vote may have been nefariously enhanced or the Democratic vote nefariously suppressed. I would add intentional underdeployment of voting machines resulting in long lines in urban areas. The author asks "Fact or Fiction? You Decide." I say Fact.

The 2004 Election: A Republican Conspiracy? (none / 0)
As early as the summer of 2003, the Republicans knew they would be in "big" trouble in the then upcoming 2004 election the following year. Their chief concern wasn't the war, the economy, jobs, terrorism or nuclear proliferation for that matter. What they were really worried about was that the millions of voters, who then and still do believe that the 2000 election was stolen, were going to come out in droves and vote Democratic, and thus overwhelm the anticipated Republican vote outright.
Knowing that there was absolutely no way that they could "honestly" turn out the vote in their favor, the Republicans decided to embark on a mission in which they would orchestrate vote suppression, vote stealing and vote manipulation to alter the results of the election, if even so subtly. Some of their methods included the following actions in virtually every state.
1. Intentional discarding of Democratic ballots.
2. Theft of absentee ballots from mailboxes, distribution centers and the like.
3. Misinterpretation of voting regulations with respect to when a ballot can be challenged and thrown out.
4. Banking on "black box" computerized voting in which no "proof of vote" receipt was produced and given to the voter, thus making an honest and accurate recount virtually impossible.
5. Not challenging the "confidential" non-disclosure nature of the computer software that runs computerized voting. Vendors of this software virtually don't allow any review of their voting control software, regardless of whether or not the process is open or closed to the public. Basically, the voter has to rely on the vendor's word when casting a computerized ballot. Many, if not most of the voting software programs being used cannot be reviewed and audited for defects, errors and intentional collusion. In a computer program, all it takes to discretely alter a result is a deeply embedded Boolean condition that is fragmented and very abstract. This in-of-itself makes it virtually impossible to spot manipulative processing code.
6. Not reporting compromised voting procedures, ballot collections and physical threats and impediments to the Democratic voter who "would be" denied the right to vote and have it count.
7. Conducting a national network of clandestine vote fraud driven by a massive coordination of effort through untraceable telephone, courier and Internet communications with some of those suppression directives traveling (and being brokered from) around the world.
8. Contrary to the prevailing idea of the media being a left-wing or left-leaning run organization, the Republicans were actually able to manipulate the media message so that virtually every high-profile talking-head cable channel pundit ended up believing their own (actually right wing) rhetoric and painted a very favorable picture of the Republican campaign, even though that campaign was really faltering very badly.
Remember, when the Republicans said that they were mobilizing their "get out the vote" team, they were actually conspiring to find everyway possible to manipulate the 2004 election's outcome. If one looks at the facts, it seems uncomfortably coincidental that both the 2000 and 2004 elections were really decided by exactly one (1) state. In essence, the Republicans were really struggling since they could not hide the obvious from anyone, and that was: a failing war, job flight, massive corporate corruption, sky-high energy prices, and much more. One might even surmise that since they lost the 1992 and 1996 elections (and 1992 in particular), that they were determined to win back the Presidency "by any means necessary". Does that phrase sound familiar? Well it should.
Their battle was not about moral values, it was about control of the corporate agenda. Do you honestly think that all of the "red" voters in the so-called "red" states are that stupid? It's very unlikely. They (the "reds") get behind on mortgages, can't pay the utilities, bounce checks (intentionally or not), get laid off, and just about ever other behavior that happens to or is practiced by the average person.
Not being able to rely on their perceived ignorance of the "red" state voter or even the religious right or extreme (far) right conservative, the Republicans were basically confronted with having to devise a believable election outcome that couldn't or wouldn't be successfully challenged. On the flip side, if the election results were successfully challenged, the new outcome would be so tainted and handicapped by the Republican campaign of misinformation and deception as was characterized by major Republican operatives, that the nation would clamor to have the new election correction voided by the courts. And so far the Republicans have succeeded. Unless the entire election were to be scrutinized from top to bottom in every state and county, no one will ever know just exactly how many votes the Democratic challenger actually "won" the election by.
Basically, the election was stolen literally and figuratively. Mathematically speaking, there is absolutely no way that you can fool all of the people all of the time, and the Republicans knew that then and they know it now. What they counted on was building on the unbelievable, which ended up being a right-leaning idiotic tirade of "red" conservatives spewing endless insults at the Democratic party, and insinuating that the left is out of touch. The truth is that the Democratic left was really "right" (as in correct), and the Republican right (as in extreme) is so far to the right (as in ideology) that it is in real danger of falling off of the cliff (as in extinction), thus leaving the real left (as in intellectually correct) with all the time in the world to carefully move toward the center (as in untouchable).
The real test will come in the future. When all of those so-called conservative-right guys who drive pick-up trucks for a living begin to see their mentally unchallenging manual-labor construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, big rig-driving jobs and others offshored and outsourced (in some manner) to another country, then they will really come to their senses and start voting Democratic. Everyone knows the election was stolen. The world is even slapping us in the back of the head and telling us so. The key is; what are we going to do about it?
Fact or Fiction? You decide.

kos is now willing to fully explore election fraud.(and not even him, other posters 11/14)
Look in the archives. Go back to the week after the election. He's talking re-organization, how the democrats lost, the bias conservative media, developing a strategy for the gun, gay, & abortion issues....excuses, explanations, and intellectual hot air.
He also talked about 9/11 and how bush, "won't be able to hide behind that anymore". On top of that, he talks about how skilled republicans are, for being able to equate "faith based values" to the issues of gays and abortion.
Huh?
Apparently kos didn't want to explore election fraud the first week...ONLY when people like Bev Harris start coming forward and other blogs get abuzz, does he fall in line. He is after all, the supposed blog mouthpiece for the liberal left. LMAO.
Also missing from kos' analytical diatribes, is the fact that the rest of the world knows about 9/11. Kos uses that as an excuse why george won the election. Ummm, yes, that is true, but if people like kos, would shine a light on the inconsistencies found in that fraud...perhaps his senator would of won. Nothing about the victim's families looking for accountability, no respect. Just like bush, he uses it for political and financial purpose when it suits him.
Move over to the republicans and "their skill"...there is no skill, it's called propaganda and lies. I can tell a bunch of people who rely on talking heads to think for them, anything they want to hear...especially if I'm going to make a buck. He doesn't correctly analyze the fact that the radical christian right has taken over the republican party, not the other way around. It's their money and "language" they used to obtain power, it's not republican language. You could argue their using each other, just like most politicians in America...and just like talking heads.
It's an entertaining site, but void of any real in depth analysis. It's political, partisan, and very naive.(or purposefully so)
Where are the links to blackboxvoting.org, votergate.tv...you can probably find them in the comments, but I don't see any links on the home page. Shouldn't there be a spotlight on that?
Nope, instead more excuses and more of the "we can change it from within".
Sorry, but anyone who supports the patriot act I and II, the liberty act, homeland security, the 9/11 bill, intelligence czar, and a counterterrorism center...is living in fear. I refuse to live in fear and I will not make an excuse for my candidate and/or party that falls into this political wedge.
Democratic strategy amounts to: "write letters to the corporate media, we must change their thinking, we must, we must"....hello, is anybody home? It's bought and paid for, from the top down. Even the liberal left media(leftgate keepers), gets it's funding from known ties to CFR, Trilateral commission, bilderbergs and cia...look it up, get off your a$$ and stop listening to the mental midgets that want you to continue to believe in the duopoly.(while you click links and make them money).
There are independent media outlets that need support...not sure if you noticed up top, but that says, "independent". Sadly, kos doesn't link to indymedia either, instead points you to political commentaries and websites. Why not point to it? this is the future of free press.
It's not about politics anymore, not rep vs. dem...it's about taking the country back before it's too late. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN if we keep up the charade that we are NOT falling into a fascist society, it took hitler 3 months to get germany into a fascist dictatorship. The media helped him, so did the SS, and the brownshirts threw guys like kos into jail. Be careful what you wish for.
"I just don't believe that"...and that is exactly what the globalists want you to think, it's working, and happening right in front of your eyes. If they have to give kos an outlet, mojo, the nation...they will. It's called false opposition.
This is the good cop / bad cop game. One is mean to you, so you trust the other to talk to. Get it? It's an old trick, those who've studied US government psych-op warfare...know this. You have been programmed to accept the duopoly, there is no alternative right? Yeah, that's what kos believes, so he spreads it and spreads it far.
As an independent, I will choose the candidates that will protect the constitution, my liberty and freedom. More effective war? sensitive war? this is all bull$hit.
I'lll have a heart attack or car accident before I get hit by terrorists. Those are statistical facts. So why all the fear? Well, because it helps you get elected. "it's the democrats stupid"
Just like bush, they fell in line, people make money from this...why kill the cash cow?
Election fraud 2004?
How about 2000? Where were they then?...supporting the black caucus when they needed a democrat to stand up? NOPE
So, now we're to believe that hillary, barack, who? can make a comeback...maybe kucinich? That's right, he's with the greens and libs trying to do something. Cynthia Mckinney? Where is the praise for her, one of the few democratic senators to win her election...have the democrats heard what she has to say....no? She was on the panel for the 9/11 citizens' commission. She pushes independent media...not liberal left media funded by the cartel.
It's all a show, the sooner you wake up, the sooner you can wake others up.
Democrats introduced the draft bill, was it a political strategy to create a wedge, or a plan to implement it? Either way, that's not the kind of party I respect. How about Porter Goss? Ex-nixonian cold war, secret cia, and floridian dictator? Who approved him? Oh that's right, democrats thought they were going to win...and that was going to change...now what? Well, now, they are complaining that good ol' porter is cleaning out the CIA of liberal opposition.
So, did they plan this too? Either way, they were wrong to let it slide and now Americans will suffer the consequences.
Sprinkle some patriot act and homeland security in there...and you have a party that is more intent on taking liberty then giving it.
Democrats talk about democracy and yet they feel third parties take away from their base...not this time, and probably not last time. What you are seeing, is that people are hip to this, the democratic party elite is not looking to oppose diddely. Instead of Iraq, they want Iran...Lieberman, Obama, they all came out pounding their fists on podiums.
The opposition to war, is peace...and it's not at the end of a barrell.
The war is more distraction from the real issues. Just like vietnam.
We had a group of people in the 60's claiming conspiracy on JFK, he said he was going to tell the american people about the control the central banks have on our economy and credit system, in comes LBJ(texas-he made allot of money with his investments in the huey helicopters over there), in steps a republican, to tell the american people, republicans fight wars better...escalation, an anti-war movement, and still no accountability.
The democrats today are differen't then yesteryear. They don't want to get dirty or controversial, they can, "fix it from within"...2 failed attempts. 1)Coming off of economic prosperity, 2)coming off an illegal war.
Why?
Because their not straight talkers, this includes exposing the election fraud, not through surrogates, not some secret "strategy"...but stand up and tell it like it is. Why not? Because half or more of their friends will go down. So instead they stay quite, they sign laws that strip our liberty, and push the war on errors.
"I will have the troops out in 4 years"...please. This would of meant more troops, more status quo, more "sensitive" wars.
Waking up yet? This is a secret strategy, but not the kind your thinking.
Why don't you believe all this? Fear. Fear of the unknown, so you are willing to let a politician protect you from those fears, as long as you can write commentaries and "speak freely".(just don't go into uncharted realms and might as well make a buck on the side).
I seek truth, truth always win, democrats seek positions of power and they have convinced you that you can trust them to represent you.
With the republicans, democrats have been able to control the system. The CPD, writing laws that make it harder for third parties, and having them arrested. No? Then why not accept a third party into the debates...why not speak up when democracy is being thwarted right in front of everyone's eyes? Why not boycott the debates with republicans, thus shining light on the problems? Why not talk about how at the very least, bush knew 9/11 was coming. If the democrats had gone there first, maybe we wouldn't have went to Iraq, maybe we wouldn't of started a global war against a cia invention. Maybe people wouldn't be afraid of homeland security knocking on your door. Waking up yet?
I know, the pit in your stomach just grew larger, the point is, we can stop this while there is time. We must escape the chains of corporate media(left and right) and the brainwashing they have instilled, we must change the way we think of the good ol' USA if we are to save it. The world is depending on us to speak up. Did you know the founding fathers banned the illuminati cult and worship. Why? because they have been at this for centuries, passed on from generation to generation. Have you heard about kerry's royal blood, bush? Did you know their distant cousins? did you know they were both members of a luciferian cult called skull and bones? Laugh it off if you must, they believe it, and they are winning. The apathy that exists today in America is appalling. The people are lazy, or is it that we have slowly accepted a plutocracy?
Scared to committ to a conspiracy fact? You've been programmed by fear. Who did that to you? Corporate media? Politicians in fine hats? daily kos?
Some have been duped and some go willingly into the corporate manifesto that is one world government(after all there is allot of money to be made). How do we achieve one world government? Take it over. By using lies, wars, propaganda, or all of the above. Sound familiar? I hope so, because it is the apathy that allowed the nazi party, only 30% of the country, to take over into a dictatorship...after that, then what will you do? Go back to kos to see what he's saying?...they're saying nothing over there.
9/11 needs to be front and center(and not a panel approved and selected by bush, and secret testimony not under oath), this is the recent cause for our suffering. Once we decide that we are not going to give up our rights for fear of a dozen guys in caves that are more likely to produce videos then attacks, then we can start building the road to OPEN government and accountability again. Suddenly, in the last year, we've had all sorts of terrorism around the world...madrid, beslan, etc...all of them, with local people that have questions of their own about state sponsored terrorism.
Still not waking up and listening to kos?
Ok, check out this video, it shows what happens to a fire truck when it gets close to an airplane engine. It looks like a piece of paper blowing in the wind. Picture that, a fire truck, lifting up and being blown over a few hundred feet, end over end...this, while the plane is sitting still. Then tell me how a plane passed over a congested highway without doing the same. I mean we were told that it made a direct approach, just a dozen or more feet above cars, the funny thing is, most people believe that...just like they believe WTC7 "melted". Are you phuqin' kidding me? excuse my language, but you must be very naive and fear government reprisal. Even more reason to start waking up and start waking others up.
Jet blast is powerful:
On the scene, fox news, cnn..."there is no evidence of a plane"
look at all those poles in front of the pentagon, live on the scene, while it's still burning...tell me again how it made it through? and piloted by hanji, the guy that learned on cesnas? Let me know what happened to all the cars that should of been blown away like the fire truck above.
I know, your still not convinced, kos knows what's up...ask him if he thinks this looks like it melted or a controlled demolition.
Because if he thinks it melted, well, that kind of contradicts FEMA's report, which was inconclusive. I can also guess, that he probably has no idea why a building, larger then wtc7, with more fire, that burned twice as long, floors collapsed, and practically NO building code, did not go down....no building code? where? In caracas my friends, where their "standards" just aren't quite as good as the USA...or are they? After all, that building still exists today. Look it up, it just happened about a month ago.
But still, this doesn't prove anything right? Your absolutely right. So why aren't we shedding light on the inconsistencies in the norad timeline, the insider trades, supposed terrorist passport found in the rubble of WTC, fbi offices that were investigating corporate crimes? Enron investigation papers? Command center at wtc7(that had been recently renovated for a terrorist attack), etc, etc?....well, because that might actually prove something.
So now the question is, why go to kos, unless you want him to fill your mind with these silly issues that are supposedly the "reason" why democrats lost?...well, that was the first week, I guess now he is willing to talk about election fraud, minus blackboxvoting.org...and in fact, it's not him,it's someone else.
That is a partisan site, about politics. Yawn. No more politics, more truth. That's what we need. Move america forward? Move on? More like "move over" and get out of the way.
Don't waste your time with partisan political meanderings, you want the nitty gritty? look at all the research being done. Pull your head out of you a$$ for a moment and visit this blog instead:
Don't believe it? If your scared, then just step aside, there are thousands if not more...that are not scared. Don't worry, we'll keep kos and the rest of you safe from state sponsored terrorism. But if you take away the guns and take away our liberty, and do not defend the constitution. Then you are also part of the problem and definitely not the solution.
We have to wake people up, republicans, democrats, and AMERICANS alike. Without independent FREE press, a society can never be free.
If you like politics, you'll like kos. If you want straight talking, in your face, intelligence analysis, look elsewhere. Put your money to work, not for kos and his politics, not for the leftgate keepers, but for the people who want to bring you the truth.
Cynthia McKinney: A DEMOCRAT!
"We Need Narco News, and It Needs Us"
A Letter from Georgia's Congresswoman-Elect on the Need for Authentic Media
By Cynthia McKinney
Please Distribute Widely
November 9, 2004
Dear Friend,
I am one of the silver linings to come out of Election Day 2004 in the United States.
After being driven from my seat in Congress two years ago by a hostile corporate media that seeks to demonize those of us who speak our minds and our hearts against power, the voters of Georgia's Fourth Congressional District returned me to Washington on November 2nd.
I return to Washington ready to fight.
But before I get to Washington in January 2005, I ask you to join me in contributing to the Internet newspaper that made a free online media possible in the United States and elsewhere: Narco News.
When we contribute to the journalism of Narco News through The Fund for Authentic Journalism, we in Civil Society also become co-publishers of the newspaper - a pioneering experiment that is working to bring democracy to the Media. Read more about this innovative project, and make a contribution today, at this link:
Here is why our contributions to The Fund for Authentic Journalism and participation in Narco News are so urgently important today:
The voters brought me back from the political grave in disobedience to a Commercial Media that told them I was too radical for the United States Congress. They endlessly repeated falsehoods about my family and me. They distorted my political positions. If you know the story of the Fourth Congressional District in Georgia, you already know the score.
But the voters saw through the Commercial Media this time. Why?
Because an alternative media is rising from below, through which we were able to correct the record, and allow authentic truth to shine its light above all the lies.
The cutting-edge of that alternative media exists on the Internet. It would not have existed in 2004 if not for the heroic battles fought by Narco News three years ago to win press freedom rights for Internet journalism.
It was Narco News that, through its 2001 New York Supreme Court victory, established First Amendment protections for all Internet journalists. Narco News literally opened the legal door through which all other alternative media and bloggers on the Internet marched through to enjoy press freedom.
During that court battle, in September 2001, I wrote an open letter to the law firm that sued Narco News and its publisher Al Giordano on behalf of billionaire bankers, and sent a copy to the Court. I said:
"A respected journalist telling the truth, at risk to his own safety, should not be facing a lawsuit meant to silence him. The lawsuit is without merit. Cease the case immediately and issue a formal apology."
Three months later, the New York Supreme Court issued its landmark decision protecting Narco News from that billionaire attack, which will be recounted in law school textbooks for decades to come as the turning point for press freedom on the Internet.
None of the online media that exist today - the bloggers, the journalists, the web pages of alternative media - would be able to do what they do if not for the sacrifice and fighting spirit of Narco News before them.
Beyond the legal precedent, Narco News continues to be the shining lighthouse setting the example for all online and alternative media about how to practice credible journalism that is not beholden to advertisers and big money interests.
What we read on Narco News is credible journalism, "reporting on the drug war and democracy from Latin America," that time and time again over four years has changed the course of history. Narco News led the way in foiling the coup attempts in Venezuela when the Commercial Media dishonestly claimed that President Hugo Chavez had "resigned." Narco News' reporting along the U.S.-Mexico border has become the chosen media of whistleblowers in the DEA, the Department of Homeland Security, Customs, and other law enforcement agencies. I know - because I hear all about it from the Washington insiders - that the border reporting of Narco News correspondent Bill Conroy regularly leads to shake-ups, firings, reassignments, and concrete changes in how those agencies operate. Hispanic and black law enforcers, in particular, count on Narco News to combat the rampant discrimination inside U.S. border agencies. And Narco News has the bureaucratic bosses running scared as a result.
Let's talk about racism in America for a moment. Narco News is the only online media of its size that doesn't just talk about combating racism: It is a shining example of a truly integrated, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, grassroots media. The Narco News School of Authentic Journalism has trained 100 journalists of conscience over the past two years. Although there is no law requiring Narco News to practice affirmative action, Narco News walks its talk. At least half of all young journalists given scholarships by Narco News are Latin American, and at least half are women.
The right wing has been indoctrinating young journalists with its own scholarship programs for 30 years. The Narco News School of Authentic Journalism is the first project of its kind to fight back by building an international army of truth-telling journalists of talent and fighting spirit.
You would think that a project like Narco News that does so much so well would be thriving economically. Well, it is not. There is no profit in fighting against greed. But if we, the people, don't act now to democratize the media, the undemocratic money-driven media will continue to make authentic democracy impossible in the United States.
One of the huge lessons from the 2004 elections is the folly of placing all our activist eggs (and funds) in election campaigns. The opposition in the United States raised more than $100 million dollars in small contributions via the Internet this year. I know my campaign benefited greatly from that trend. You may be one of the donor-activists who gave to my campaign or to others, and if so, I thank you for it.
But for the past three months, while everybody was making online credit card contributions to election campaigns, we forgot about the need to keep the alternative media strong. Donations to The Fund for Authentic Journalism - more than $60,000 in the first half of 2004 - dried up as everyone's focus was on elections.
Now the election is over - elections, alone, didn't work to change the country or the world - and we need our alternative media more than ever.
Narco News, as the first and best example of how non-profit authentic journalism can and does work, is the first of many that we must save and make grow stronger.
More exciting is that our participation in Narco News doesn't begin or end with a financial donation. It's the groundbreaking participatory nature of Narco News and its online group blog - The Narcosphere - that makes all of us who contribute to Narco News partners in the project. There, if we have donated labor as journalists, or money as citizens, we become "co-publishers" of the newspaper, and can comment, criticize, correct facts, add information, and discuss with others every single report published by Narco News. I don't know of any other newspaper that gives the readers so much power to directly keep journalists honest and be participants, not just consumers, of the media.
That's why, today, I have signed up for my co-publisher account on Narco News, and I ask you to do the same. Narco News has created the space for us in Civil Society - no matter what our political party or tendency is; all voices are invited - to be part of the newspaper.
Narco News continues building a revolution in journalism, tearing down the monopoly walls that once gave First Amendment rights only to Commercial Media.
You can join me as a co-publisher of Narco News by making your contribution today to The Fund for Authentic Journalism.
You can make that contribution online at:

I want to know, when I return to Congress next January, that Narco News is on a strong financial footing again. If it is not, my job will be so much more difficult, and not only on the issues of democracy and the drug war, but also on all our priorities for a more just, fair, and open society.
We have all spent recent months in election campaigns, with mixed results, and we have ignored our alternative media to our own peril. The next two months we need to make up for lost time and bring Narco News and authentic journalism back to health, because every battle that comes next will be dependent on it.
Authentic Media, and the citizens it mobilized, brought me back to Washington.
Today, let's mobilize together to sweep Authentic Media to its new and rightful place as the path to replacing, and democratizing, all media in our lifetimes.
Without democracy in media, democracy in politics won't be possible. When it comes to the First Amendment, I say "first things first." Let's save and strengthen the online newspaper that founded the Authentic Journalism renaissance. Let's flex our political muscles where it most counts: in building that alternative media.
Let's have another mighty success story before January 1, 2005. If, together, we accomplish this task, then all will truly not be lost come the New Year.
Sincerely,
Cynthia McKinney
Congresswoman-elect
4th District, Georgia
