A New Look at a Mystery of the Skies

The so-called "chemtrails" that are seen almost everywhere in the
skies of the world are an incredible phenomenon of our time, if only
because like UFO sightings, the broad span of social, political, and
intellectual life of major nations largely ignores such things
utterly. Even those with imagination (artists, playwrights, novelists,
poets) ignore such anomalistic things as UFOs and chemtrails, even
though they offer images, symbols, metaphors, intrigue, mysterious
technology, and much more besides! This changing of the skies of the
world full previously of traditional pantomime clouds to a sky scored
by lines of whitish-grey streaks is totally ignored by major news,
media, and communication outlets. This is strange again given that the
effects are quite spectacular and beautiful when lit by the evening
sun. The trails spread out at different rates, they come from
different angles, and the aircraft that create them can be seen
streaking across the sky, often several at once, and at extremely high

The word "chemtrails" is used here for lack of a better word, but it
is unlikely that what we see spreading out across the sky are
chemicals of some sort. Such an amount of chemicals would surely have
the most immediate and obvious effect on both our minds and
environment. We would be please to hear from environmental group who
have more specialized knowledge about any kind of
chemical/environmental approach.

Over the past year, the Combat Diaries team have conducted a special
investigation of chemtrails over Britain. With the help of specialists
(some ex Royal Air Force), we conducted a 16 hour period of
observation by web, telephone, and amateur radio of the skies over
America and Central Europe, from first light to last light, taking
into account time differences. The results were quite disturbing. It
was obvious that simultaneous operation by large numbers of quite
visible aircraft were being mounted over continental areas on both
sides of the Atlantic. Through contacts, we managed also to get
reports on this selected same day from the civilian staff of merchant
and cruise ships crossing the Atlantic. They reported that sky trails
were visible in whilst sailing in mid Atlantic.

Thus we concluded that chemtrails represent a continuous operation of
incredible magnitude. The aircraft involved show remarkably similar
characteristic and performance, though their profile we have yet to
find in any book of aircraft recognition. Roughly, they resemble in
shape and size the Boeing 757 (the type that crashed into the Pentagon
on 9/11), but carried no markings. This is remarkable in itself,
because technically it is illegal. Measured by range theodolite and
ex-service hand-held rangefinders, they were doing approximately the
same speed at the same height. The speed was steady, quite precisely
maintained, being 1200 -1400 mph. This is somewhat high for an
outmoded passenger aircraft type, meant for inland short/medium range
commuter flights at a top speed of 450 mph!

These things are wonders in themselves, but it is the sheer number of
these pseudo 757-type aircraft that is beyond belief. On this chosen
sample day, our reporters in France, Germany and Holland, Spain, Italy
and Israel alone reported at noon the sky trails of no less that 234
almost identical aircraft at between 40-50,00 feet Since this hourly
rate continued during the day it represented some 2340 sorties over
ten hours. Worldwide, multiplying the quite reasonable factor of 10,
we have 23,400 sorties per day by planes of a non-military
non-supersonic configuration, travelling at speeds equivalent to the
combat speed of F16 or Typhoon Euro-fighter.


This vast number of aircraft appear to have no detectable bases, they
have no apparent air-refuelling needs, they do not carry drop tanks,
and the routes appear to stretch across the sky from all compass
points, often crossing one another on a pretty random basis. They
appear also to have no detectible manufacturers, support base, or
refuelling facilities. And they don't appear to land or take off!
Again, since no air force in the world (not even the United States Air
Force) has any supersonic transport aircraft, the presence of many
hundreds of supersonic transport aircraft is rather strange!

The cost such of such visible operations on a worldwide basis by the
approximately the same type of powerful aircraft must be stupendous.
The maintenance, fuelling, and repair facilities of such a great
number of high-performance aircraft can only be imagined. The training
schemes and accommodation of the personnel appear not to exist! Since
no such numbers of this aircraft type are on manufacturer's lists, and
the number that have been manufactured are all busy on conventional
routes flying conventional passengers and cargo, we have here a true
mystery of our time.

Where are they from, and what are they doing on their seemingly
purposeless routes across the sky?

I'd like to know, where are they from and what are doing? :( I
sometimes think, when there's just one or two trails all alone in the
sky, they're being used as a simple reminder. They're saying: "No
matter where you are, we are in charge, you can't escape."

"why spray the trails" makes me doubt Mr. Bennett's invalidation of
the trails being chemical in nature in the assumption that "such an
amount of chemicals would surely have the most immediate and obvious
effect on both our minds and environment." It would make no sense to
employ the technologies mentioned simply to decorate the skies and the
possibility of the trails being just a part of various technologies
working in conjunction to achieve something cannot be overlooked.

That same question of why can lead down many avenues..

Thinking militarily, it is not hard to fathom that these trails are
being used to obscure satellite photography of the ground. It would
make gathering intelligence something that has to be done within the
atmosphere where such an activity has a much greater chance of being
detected rather than via satellite. Considering this, it is quite
possible that the trails contain both metal and chemical elements...

Tracing the money flow, the pharmaceutical companies working in tandem
could be financing the spraying of the trails as an investment to make
people with dampened immune systems (via all the sugar and other food
additives consumed) sick to the point where they want drugs to fix the
ailment. There have been a number of reports of people having
respiratory problems, albeit slight, immediately after the skies above
them are coated and when the common person feels ill, they usually
head for the medicine cabinet. In this scenario, the trails would have
to be almost purely chemical...

Going down the conspiracy theory side, two possibilities come to mind;
mind control and weather control. In this theory, the trails would be
the amplifier that allows the HAARP's interaction with the ionosphere
to cause changes in the lower atmosphere. Such a combination could be
used for either purpose, yet it only generates more questions of why.

Why control the minds of the masses? Perhaps it is the most subtle
method they have to quell dissent, to make people more obedient and
less likely to question by blaring out electrical and/or
electromagnetic signals at a particular frequency which the mind
naturally resonates with and reacts.

Why control the weather? The possibility of four hurricanes hitting
Florida in a single season being a controlled affair rather than
natural coincidence has been relegated to conspiracy theory and it is
no secret that the masses do not place much stock in conspiracy theory
to begin with. Thus, knowledge that can be ridiculed by the majority
gives it a perfect hiding spot from the light of truth. But back to
the question of why control the weather; anytime you have some form of
mass destruction, you have the Federal Emergency Management Agency
there as well and the only force capable of wrecking a relatively big
chunk of land without political reprocussion are natural disasters,
such as hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones, and volcanic eruptions. While
FEMA's purpose on the front may be that of assisting the public in
times of natural disasters, many have theorized that there is a darker
side to that agency.

With those possibilities in mind, it would be foolish to assume that
there are no chemical elements in the trails...

...and do not forget the existence of nanotechnology and the potential
for it to be used in conjunction with biotechnology.

surprised if nanotechnology had some involvement in these planes not

PORTLAND, ME -- An FAA official in charge of air traffic control over the northeastern United States has confirmed an ongoing military operation in America?s skies. In an exclusive taped interview with freelance radio reporter S. T. Brendt, the Air Traffic Control (ATC) manager said he was told on as many as four occasions in March, 2001 to
re-route commercial air traffic around military aircraft taking part in an undisclosed aerial operation over the northeastern seaboard.

On her way to the interview location, Brendt observed six big jets laying brilliant white lines above a broken cloud layer. Instead of dissipating like normal condensation trails, these lingering plumes grew wider and wider, intersecting and merging.

Speaking on condition of strict anonymity as intense chemtrail activity continued overhead, this Deep Sky federal aviation source expressed concern over the classified nature of military operations repeatedly conducted at altitudes between 37,000 and 40,000 feet. While
air traffic controllers normally ignore air traffic above 10,000 feet,the ATC manager said he was ordered to divert incoming European air traffic away from the military planes.

When asked why, he said, I was told there was a military exercise in the area. Of course, they wouldn't give me any of the particulars.

The initial FAA disclosure came on March 12, as mass aerial
maneuvers saturated northeastern U.S. skies with Xs, circular patterns and parallel lines characteristic of chemtrail activity reported by pilots, police officers and former military personnel across the United

Brendt contacted the FAA official after counting more than 30 big jets spreading persistent plumes within 45 minutes. Lou Aubuchont confirmed Brendt's count, noting that during his stint in U.S. Navy intelligence he had never seen a military exercise of such magnitude.

After Brendt called in her sightings, assistant WMWV news director Richard Dean counted 370 chemical trails criss-crossing his nearby location for six-and-a-half hours. But local Air Traffic Controllers reported only nine commercial jets on their radars at the time.

Thousands of eye-witnesses have reported similar spray activity obscuring North American skies over the past two years.

In December, 2000 Canadian aviation authority Terry Stewart
investigated a Victoria caller's complaint of intensive chemtrail activity over the British Columbia capitol. In a taped message, the environmental manager for the Victoria International Airport checked with the control tower and reported, it's a military exercise, U.S. and
Canadian air force exercise that's going on. They wouldn't give me any specifics on it.

Stewart added that he found the incident - one of hundreds reported over B.C. since the fall of 1998 - very odd.

The aircraft laying lingering X's and grids over Vancouver Island have been photo-identified as USAF KC-135 and KC-10 aerial refueling tankers. U.S. Air Force Weather Force Specialists intent on fulfilling an official USAF mission to Own The Weather refer to chemical cloud cover spread by high flying tankers as aerial obscuration.

Outbreaks of acute upper respiratory and gastrointestinal illness, fatigue, headaches, joint pain, dizziness, and nose bleeds have filled hospital emergency rooms across the U.S. and Canada following heavy spray days.

In November, 1999, 550 residents of the small town of Espanola,Ontario presented a petition to the Canadian government demanding an explanation and an end to aerial spraying by USAF tankers they claimed was making children and adults sick over a 55 square mile area. The Air
Force denied flying tankers over Espanola. The Canadian defense ministry has yet to respond to the citizens? complaint.

On Nov. 20,1999, Brendt was admitted to hospital with a gushing nosebleed and pains in her chest after inadvertently photographing dozens of chemtrails over Parsonsfield, Maine. Nosebleeds are a common
symptom of chemtrail exposure. Now I know what this is, Brendt says. I never get nosebleeds.

DUH! Like first one has to know what "normal" is. Sorry, but if there are "broken" clouds up there and especially if there are thin, whispy, barely viasable clouds up there, then for normal condensation trails to dissipate would NOT (repeat not) be "normal". If the conditions aloft are such that the air is supersaturated, molecules of water vapor just looking for any surface on which to condense (and that's what those thin whispy coulds mean) then NORMAL would be for the condensation trails to persist, grow, thicken, and maybe even until they completely cover the sky with cloud.

I see, we see

Several people asked me to comment on "chemtrails" over the past few years. The onset of this visible change in the pattern of occlusion was subtle enough that their questions did in fact spark my curiousity. In the fall of 2002 I began to consciously look up at the sky. Being of sound will and contrary to public opinion, I began to search for those beautiful white puffy clouds I distinctly remember from spending most of my childhood summers outdoors under the pristine clarity of the northern Minnesota sky.

My memory is not a product of TV. Clouds still do form over mountains.

I have been looking for clouds for over two years, and mostly I see pollution.

I do not know what those linear streaks ARE. I DO NOT KNOW.

btw I have spent 28 years as an aviation professional involved in the engineering of sensory systems for navigation and flight control of private aircraft. My chosen carreer places me among extremely conservative people who lack the type of intelligence thats prone to look beyond the specialized niche that puts food in their usually fat bellies, in other words if they know anything, they're too insecure to say. Those who venture an ignorant opinion usually choose the conspiracy theorist label for my query.

"When the ice cubes melt in your drink, does the water overflow the glass" being the usual extent of their scientific curiousity with such matters.

I asked a retired employee of area 51 about this phenomena. I was given no answer by the person who worked out there for over ten years. SHE DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING according to her. I do not believe her or disbelieve her.

The woman was sitting at a table in front of me, not in cyberspace.

So maybe we would do better to look for what it is we are concerned that we may have already lost. That being those beautiful white puffy clouds that I know I am not making up. I distinctly remember summer after summer of watching them form in contrast to a deep blue background. Maybe, maybe , maybe, maybe, and dammit this is just another accursed MAYBE, the spreading linear occlusion is a picture of a collective mindset that needs and breeds speeds and deeds and greeds of a totally mysterious nature. To me that is, it seems you gotta believe in 'em. As I have stated before, I believe in nothing

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT OTHER PHENOMENA IS COMPOSED OF OR WHERE IT COMES FROM OR WHY THIS OR HOW THAT. And all I really KNOW is that it sure is getting more difficult to get a picture of clouds anymore? At least below 8,500 ft.

Look folks, sometimes the best science is done when I have the balls to look me and my own bullshit square in the eye and plainly state: I DON'T KNOW.

NANCY: I'll give it to the Zetas, and they have addressed this in the Government section.

Chemtrails originally were sickening people, blanketing them, and then the clinics would determine how many people came in ill, children ill, how long the illness lasted, and this was to determine the effectiveness of spreading disease by airplane emissions. This is not a government activity, this was an activity of the very wealthy who were interested in poisoning, frankly, large blocks of city dwellers or people migrating from cities after the pole shift on their way to invade the enclaves of the rich who had setup food stores and stuffs and keep them from approaching. This fell out of favor because a number of people who were tolerating these experiments, such as the US Military, learned the plans were to poison people ultimately, and balked and resisted. And the covert assistance or quiet tolerance of these activities of the US Military, for instance, in the US, was required for it to be successful. So that part of the plan went aside, and sickening is no longer concomitant with chemtrails. But as during the Summer of 2003 when the Second Sun was so very visible and people became concerned about the number of questions pouring into weather stations and the like about 'what it that, why did I see the Sun rise twice, what is that orb that I see, something next to the Sun'. So clouding up your view is just the thing. And so they run these planes out, back and forth at sunrise or sunset, criss crossing to create fog so that your view is not as clear, so 'well, it's just a reflection off this or that which you saw'. There's quit a bit of money that goes into this, and it's not all that effective, but they're hoping to forestall panic until the last minutes because they want to stay on top of the pile and they don't want themselves to have to go into the enclaves and board up the windows and guard the doors until the last minute. So they're trying to keep you dumb and ignorant as long as they can. That's the reason for the chemtrails.

You have got to cause a stink in the popular mind, it is the only way to save yourselves from them.

And god bless Dennis Kucinich who attempted to introduce a bill in 2001 THAT WOULD BAN CHEMTRAIL OPERATIONS BY NAME--though hardly anyone supported it. One of the few Congressional friends to the American people--and the world--is Dennis Kucinich.

I hope he gets a nice whiff of the chemtrails or his kids get sick--and then he has to log back in and pretend nothing is going on. That would be true torture.


1. Just hand them out or, if you are hassled, put them in magazines in public areas.

in all those "SkyMall" or whatever magazines.
2. or leave them in magazines in waiting areas beyond security at the airport.
3. Even if they are picked up on the next round, the flight crew, pilots, attendants, boarding personnel will be made aware.

RECOMMENDED WAY TO FOLD THEM: Put page 2 face up towards yourself. Fold right-most third panel over middle second panel. Then, use fingernail to make the sharp and fine fold for the cover, while holding page 1's title/cover image towards yourself. It does fit. I have done this numerous times already.

PRINT THEM 'landscape, double sided' (or if you just have access to a single sided printer, just print on both sides of the same paper by manually feeding it in twice.)

The second flyer is set up to 'self-replicate,' because in the text it references back to the original URL for the Portland IMC article. As a resurgence of unusual aerial trails crisscross Canadian skies, official confirmation of chemtrails has come from the U.S. Congress.

"Chemtrails" is the term widely used to describe the brilliant white plumes laid down by U.S. Air Force tanker planes photo-identified over North America and a dozen other allied nations. Unlike normal condensation trails - which form when hot engine exhaust momentarily condenses in the frigid stratosphere like exhaled breath on a cold day - chemical trails linger for hours, turning clear skies into milky haze in a process the U.S. Air Force calls "aerial obscuration"
Chemtrail Ban Sought In Congress

"Chemtrails" also appear in House Resolution 2977.

Introduced last October by Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich, this bill called for the peaceful uses of space, and a ban on "exotic weapons". Section 7 of the "Space Preservation Act of 2001" sought specifically to prohibit "chemtrails".

Kucinich recently told the Columbus Alive newspaper (Jan. 24, 2002) that despite official denials, as head of the Armed Services oversight committee he is well acquainted with chemtrail projects. "The truth is there's an entire program in the Department of Defense, 'Vision for 2020,' that's developing these weapons," Kucinich told reporter Bob Fitrakis. The U.S. Space Command's 2020 vision calls for "dominance" of space, land, sea and air.

The unusual white plumes reported by Air Canada pilots, police officers and former military personnel over Canada and the U.S. during the past three years are often contrasted by brief, pencil-thin contrails left by commercial jets flying above them.

Contrails form when water vapor clumps around dirt particles acting as nuclei. According to NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, contrails can only form at temperatures below minus 76 degrees, and humidity levels of 70 percent or more. Even in ideal conditions, contrails rarely last more than 20 minutes.

But atmospheric studies by NASA and NOAA - including TARFOX, ACE-Asia, ACE-I and II, INDOEX and Project SUCCESS - confirm that artificial clouds and contrails can be manufactured under conditions of low humidity by dispensing particles from aircraft. The smaller the size of the nuclei introduced into the atmosphere, the greater the rate of artificial cloud formation.
Canadians Petition Parliament

Canadians were the first to complain about chemtrails to their federal government. On Nov. 18, 1999, NDP Defense critic Gordon Earl petitioned Parliament on behalf of 550 residents of Espanola, Ontario to "repeal any law that would permit the dispersal of military chaff or of any cloud-seeding substance whatsoever by domestic or foreign military aircraft without the informed consent of the citizens of Canada thus affected."

According to CBC Newsworld (Aug 29, 1999), "Many in the community have reported respiratory problems and strange aches and pains. Town council heard that some believe military jets are dropping material over the town as part of a weather experiment" - after laboratory tests confirmed the presence of aluminum in rainwater falling through chemtrails over Espanola five-times higher than provincial health safety limits.

The Ministry of Defense eventually replied, "It's not us."
Studies Prove Chemtrails Cannot Be Contrails

The "airliner" argument collapsed along with the Twin Towers, when heavy chemtrails were reported over Vancouver Island and widely separated U.S. cities despite the grounding of all commercial flights last Sept. 11, 12 and 13.

Photographs of heavy aerial gridding over Santa Fe, New Mexico and B.C.'s Sunshine Coast also contradict official weather data showing high altitude humidity at the same times and locations to be less than one third the moisture needed for contrails to form.

In Houston, Texas, Mark Steadham conducted a 62 day survey of jet traffic over that busy hub. Using a computer program called Flight Explorer, Steadham identified commercial and military aircraft sharing the same sky. The contrails from commercial jets dissipated within 22 seconds. The plumes left behind at the same time by big military jets persisted for four to eight hours.
Canadian and U.S. Aviation Officials Confirm Chemtrails

The first break in an investigation begun by the Environment News Service in Jan. 1999, came 11 months later when Victoria airport authority Terry Stewart returned a call to a Victoria resident concerned about the X's and grid patterns being laid over the B.C. capitol. "It's a military exercise, a U.S. and Canada air force exercise that's going on," Stewart reported on Dec. 8, 2000. "They wouldn't give me any specifics on it."

The "specifics" came in March the following year, when Maine radio reporter S. T. Brendt called a senior Air Traffic Control manager after she, her news director and staff counted 370 plumes filling skies normally devoid of commercial aircraft. During his hitch in U.S. Navy Intelligence, Brendt's husband had never seen an aerial armada this big. "It looked like an invasion," Lou Aubuchont said.

The FAA manager told Brendt he had been ordered to redirect incoming commercial flights around "military exercises" on several occasions that month. In follow-up interviews at the WMWV studios, the government official confirmed widespread chemtrail activity. As they flew north into Canada, he said, the planes were spraying a substance that showed up as a "haze" on Air Traffic Control radar screens.

This characteristic signature of radar beams reflecting off fine aluminum particles confirmed the Espanola lab tests. It also matched a patent issued to Hughes Aircraft Corp. in 1994. This practical blueprint described spraying reflective aluminum particles into Earth's greenhouse atmosphere, "For the Reduction of Global Warming".

Computer simulations at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory showed that spraying 10 million tons of aluminum oxide into the upper atmosphere would reflect between one and two percent of incoming sunlight. The predictions promised no net warming over 85 percent of the earth surface, despite a predicted doubling of CO2 within the next 50 years.

The biggest lobby pushing for a reduction in global warming are insurance companies bigger than Big Oil and the international trade in arms. Multinationals such as the Swiss Reinsurance Company and Lloyd's of London report unsustainable losses incurred by Extreme Weather Events caused by a rapidly warming planet. It is feared that if they go bankrupt, so will the money markets and banks that back them.

Andrew Dlugolecki - director of one of the world's six biggest insurance groups, CGNU - warned the Hague two years ago that unless action is taken to curb global warming, the resulting damage will exceed the dollar value of all the world's resources by 2065. "Already we're beginning to run out of money in the insurance industry," Dlugolecki declared.

It was Edward Teller, father of the H-bomb, who called for spraying a chemical "sunscreen" at a 1998 International Seminar on Planetary Emergencies. Besides disturbing regional weather patterns, Teller's chief climate modeler, Ken Caldeira worries about negative health effects. The atmospheric scientist who crunched the numbers on Teller's "sky shield" further warns such a project could, "destroy the ozone layer". Caldeira believes the U.S. government will publicly admit to chemtrails this spring.
Health Hazard

Scientists say aluminum oxide as inert as sand poses no toxic threat. But after examining more than 3,000 health studies published since 1997, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency confirmed a strong link between tiny particulates and thousands of premature deaths each year.

According to a New York Times feature, "Tiny Bits of Soot Tied to Illnesses" (April 21, 2001), numerous health studies show that "microscopic motes - composed of metals, carbon and other ingredients - are able to infiltrate the tiniest compartments in the lungs and pass readily into the bloodstream and have been most strongly tied to illness and early death, particularly in people who are already susceptible to respiratory problems."

In a report headlined, "Tiny particles can kill" New Scientist (Aug. 5, 2000) reported a Harvard "Six Cities" study, which "identified particles with a diameter of less than 10 microns as threat to public health."
Barium Chemtrails

A scientist working at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base told Columbus Alive (Dec. 6, 2001) that two different chemtrails projects are currently being conducted by the U.S. military. One involves creating clouds to cool global warming.

Chemtrails are also being deployed by the Pentagon to suspend a mixture of barium stearate and fine iron particles as a temporary atmospheric antenna for conducting radio and radar waves over the horizon. The soapy stearate used to carry the airborne iron particles appears in the sky as prismatic bands of color.

Barium-iron chemtrails were reportedly used to create long range radio-and-radar "ducting" during sustained air strikes on Iraq, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. The scientist interviewed by Fitzrakis also stated that barium chemtrails are being used in conjunction with an "atmospheric heater" called HAARP in Gakon, Alaska.

HAARP's inventor Bernard Eastland told this reporter that the principal purpose of this multi-million watt weapon is to "steer the jet stream" and change the weather. His patent calls for spraying barium in the atmosphere to enhance the effects of HAARP. "Wright-Pat has long been deeply engaged in HAARP's electromagnetic warfare program," Eastlund told Columbus Alive.

If some of the chemtrails being sprayed overhead contain compounds for conducting electromagnetic energy, residents of all affected communities could be in even graver danger from the intense electromagnetic radiation emitted by cellphone and microwave transmitter towers, radar installations at military bases, high-voltage power lines, high-power military relay towers and myriad other well-documented sources of "electronic smog" - 15 million times more intense than natural background levels.

Barium chemtrails could accidentally amplify these already hazardous electromagnetic emanations.

Canadian military officers at Canadian Forces Base Comox spokesmen have heatedly denied the existence of this joint military operation. But Terry Stewart told the Vancouver Courier (Aug. 15, 2001) that his information confirming the Canada-U.S. military exercise came directly from CFB Comox.

hey, they lay these things down on a daily basis (seems like it) in the PDX-area skies; even when there is partial cloud cover, you'll see these thru breaks in the clouds.

one day i was walking to the Rose Center TC around noon and one of these cowboys was emitting a 'trail. the sky was clear and the sun was out and there was a rainbow halo around the sun. the 'trail bisected this halo and with the sun in the middle it 'marked out' the sun--No Sunlight it seemed to be saying.

no hope, no future :) thanks us air farce. where were you idiots when your leader was allowing planes to topple buildings? oh that's right, you were to stand down and let it happen. lemmings.
