there've been some big critiques of the (lack of) strategy at the past two marches and the focus on the cops. i think something small, but likely achievable by next saturday's march, would be to start focusing our message differently through chants.
some focuses that might be good for the rally this coming saturday would be bombings in falluja, racial profiling, calling out more troops (which i really think is gonna happen now that the election's over), and guantanamo bay (and the military commissions going on). what other issues do people think are especially important to address at the next rally? what fabulous chants can you remember or create to bring them up in a way that is easily heard by media and passers by? and have people found chant sheets to be helpful in the past?
here are some i've heard/found. please add more!
No more presidents
No more war
Out of Palestine Out of Iraq
What do we do? Stand up fight back!
Out of Afghanistan Out of Iraq
Out of Palestine And don't come back!
What do we want? U.S. Out!
When do we want it? Now!
