independent publishing resource center upcoming events this week in Portland

A couple of exciting events happening this week in IPRC-land:
First Up....
We'll be hosting another reading this Wednesday, November 3rd, at 7pm in the
US Bank Room of the Downtown Library. The following people will be reading:
Paul Ash, Editor of Sniffy Linings Press and Author of What I Think About
When I Go to the Job. Dan Raphael, The World's Tallest Poet and Author of
The Bones Begin to Sing. Marissa Madrigal, Former Editor of the Radioactive
Pickle and Author of The 8lb. Gorilla

There will be a reception immediately following the reading at the IPRC (917
SW Oak #218). Aside from access to free food, the reception will provide an
excellent opportunity to meet the authors, discuss their work and tour the
facilities of the Independent Publishing Resource Center, which has been
helping authors and artists publish their own work since 1998.

Second Up....
IPRC Rock Show Fundraiser

Michael Johnson (of Reclinerland), and Wow & Flutter. The cost is $6‹$10
sliding scale at the door. $6 for four bands.
That works out to $1.50 per band and all of it goes to the Independent
Publishing Resource Center, a local, non-profit community space which has been serving zine and chapbook publishers, running zine camps for kids and
maintaining a lending library unlike any other in the world since 1998. So
wešll find a good home for your six bucks, we promise. Nocturnal is located at 1800 E. Burnside.

All ages are welcome. Bar with ID.
