The cover has a sad looking blond, blue eyed white girl of about ten looking out a school bus window with the title "The Classroom Will Never Be The Same."
Page 2 has a picture of a white female teacher in the background pointing to a white child in the foreground with his/her arm raised. The text says:
"Teachers from all over Oregon, ask you to VOTE YES on Measure 36" [note: the comma is incorrect] followed by a list in tiny print of names ending with "and many more..."
Page 3 says:
If Measure 36 Fails...
Gay and Lesbian Sex Will be Taught in Oregon Schools.
Is that what you want?
If parents think that redefining marriage to include same-sex couples won't affect their children, they should consider what happened in Massachusetts after court-ordered same-sex marriage.
National Public Radio just interviewed a Massachusetts teacher who uses charts with her Middle School students to explicitly teach gay sex.
If parents object, she says, "give me a break, gay marriage in Massachusetts is legal now."
And soon it could be legal in Oregon too,
if Measure 36 fails.
"I am concerned that schools will be one ACLU lawsuit away from having to promote same sex relationships as equal to marriage as we have always known it. That would be confusing to out [sic] students, troubling for our teachers and bad for our schools"
Clark Brody [with a picture of the white haired, white Mr. Brody]
Former Oregon Deputy Superintendant of Public Education
[Note: It WOULD be confusing to, if not the end of, "out" students in our schools]
Across the bottom of Pages 2 and 3:
Oregon children already have enough to deal with. Vote Yes on 36.
On Page 4, with a picture of Gordon Smith [another white guy]
"I believe that marriage, as we have known and practiced it in this country for hundred of years now, is something that should be preserved...marriage ultimately is about more than just consenting adults. It is about the natural rearing and nurturing of children, preparing them for citizenship under the most ideal circumstances possible."
U.S. Senator Gordon Smith
Finally a big "Yes on 36" logo
