Thursday Evening Meditation in Southeast Portland

•Learn reliable ways to tune into and become grounded in the peace and stability of your real Self, your true nature.
•Not religious, but part of an ancient lineage of universal spiritual teachings.
•Ongoing, free of charge.
Hosted by Chris Rudolf, who has studied a variety of spiritual traditions under a variety of teachers since his first trip to India in 1972. He is currently training and teaching meditation under the guidance of Roy Eugene Davis, who heads the Center for Spiritual Awareness in Lakemont, Georgia, and is one of the few remaining direct disciples of Paramahansa Yogananda, who authored the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, and lived and taught in the United States for over thirty years.

Professionally, Chris has been a high school teacher and counselor since 1980 and is currently teaching and counseling at Roosevelt High School in North Portland.

Meditation is held every Thursday at Mount Saint Joseph, 3060 SE Stark in the basement community room from 6 - 7pm and includes devotional singing, discussion, and healing. Please plan to arrive on time, as the doors to Mount Saint Joseph are locked at 6:30pm.

At 5:15pm Chris leads easy Hatha Yoga stretches. Both the yoga and meditation are free of charge. Any donations will be passed on to Mount Saint Joseph. If you come for Hatha Yoga, please wear loose fitting clothing and bring a blanket or mat.
