In that post, I intentionally picked six relatively well known Bones families that are highly integrated (Bush, Brown, Harriman, Cheney, Walker, & Lovett), some with only small and some with very large Bones participation. I was interested in how they sponsored each other, generation to generation, in the same organization, grandfather to father to son.
I was interested in how the known public connections between families could be highlighted with this shared history in Skull and Bones.
INTRODUCTION: BONES MEMBER ROLLS, DATA NOW PUBLIC
Even though it is a secret society, analysis can move forward on a great deal of documented fact. This is because I use the actual once entirely secret membership rolls of Skull and Bones. They were leaked to the late researcher Antony Sutton in the mid 1980s. He got the 1985 version of the 2 volume set: one for living and one for dead. From the data, Sutton wrote his 'slow bestseller' on Skull and Bones called America's Secret Establishment (1986). Sutton kept these membership rolls private to him, saying that he was concerned that his particular versions may somehow be used to trace down the person who gave him the use of the volumes for 24 hours. He spent the whole night copying them at a Kinko's copy center he said, returning them the next day, as requested.
In 2003, these membership rolls were made public finally for the first time in history in raw data form, as an index in the book Fleshing out Skull and Bones (2003). As they say, "Gotcha."
Membership rolls have names, years of induction, and a short institutional affiliation serving as a biography of ALL BONESMEN, 1833-1985, past and present. Each edition is updated annually. Since Sutton version he received in 1985, the version publicly available stops there of course. Sutton noted that the edition he received presumably was updated annually with each new cohort and updated with the deaths of Bonesmen, with names being transferred from the 'book of the living' to the book of the dead Bonesmen. Fleshing out Skull and Bones (2003) added additional tidbits or individuals when they were known from later cohorts. However, after the mid 1980s, Skull and Bones networks are once more as invisible to the public, as they ever were before.
However, with 150 years to analyze, we can draw a great many conclusions on what they are still doing, based on what they did.
To fill in the gaps of the past 20 years in terms of data, I DO HOPE AND ENCOURAGE someone clues in the public once more who these updated Bonesmen are, and I encourage them to do this on a regular basis. It would be very easy: simply post updated rosters on the internet anonymously. Even use an IndyMedia center (www.indymedia.org), anonymous and quick. You can do it, show the Yale spirit, instead of the Bones death wish!
IN THIS UPDATE: DIFFERENT QUESTIONS ARE ASKED ON GENERAL STRATEGY OF BONESMEN; AND PROSAIC QUESTIONS OF INSTITUTIONS THEY HAVE EMPLOYED IN GENERAL: GET THE NAMES OF THEM FROM THEIR OWN HISTORY LISTS!
In this post, unlike the previous one, I am interested in a more direct look at Bones as an intergenerational phenomena that keeps its pulse going through the same institutions, instead of interested in particular families. I had questions about very prosaic—though very useful—details: like what particular other public or private organizations & institutional roles/situations do Bonemen like to participate within or create? What roles do they like to place themselves in, in a covert way as hegemons and controllers of institutions without others knowing? This will help to look out for them in the future, say, when you hear about a type of government/corporate position, or you hear the name of a particular corporation or bank name. This hopefully will be a useful reference you can search for terms in that way.
However, this post does elaborate on past themes, so I suggest checking out the original post mentioned above.
So, here I analyze only the set of major intergenerational families of Skull and Bones.
By 'major,' I mean the ones showing at least 10 (or more) instances of their family names over the period 1833-1985 (with additional further years sometimes available). This makes a hefty set of 15 major Bones families that fulfill this requirement. Some of them actually were mentioned in the last post. To summarize some of the questions that I asked (and foreshadowing the conclusions reached so far):
(1) COOPERATION OR COMPETITION? Do the 15 major Bones families, as a group, tend to interact cooperatively with each other or compete with each other? What does it imply if they do or don't? How do they interact or lack interaction? Do major families require durable sponsorship of other major families, like seen in the previous post betweeen large and small mutual sponsorships in the cohorts, like it was shown that 'minor' Bones families seem to do in clientelistic relations to 'major' ones? Is the process that major families keep being pulled into Bones similar or different? By pulled into Bones I mean how a previous cohort of year x can pull in the next cohort of year x +1, because that is one duties of a cohort to choose amongst their Yale peers the next 15 members for the subsequent year. Can the major families be considered to be working as a group?
(2) WHAT SPECIFIC INSTITUTIONS ARE FILLED WITH BONESMEN? If examining the top 15 families can be considered the easiest and best way to do this, what are the most prevalent covert institutional affiliations and/or types of parts played in such institutions where Bonesmen insinuate themselves without the public being aware? For instance, it could be that major families are more hands off in their power, leaving it to underlings. Or are the major families of Bones more hands on in the institutions they want to participate within, directly? Either way, what does this say about the key institutions either public or private they 'want'?
(3) WHAT SPECIFIC TYPES OF INSTITUTIONAL ROLES ARE FILLED WITH BONESMEN? What are key types of positions Bonesmen take or are given in such institutions? What institutional roles do Bonesmen hold, over and over, as one moves in and 'does his work' and is subsequently retired? However, before retirement, Bonesmen typically make sure that the next generation of Bones is pulled back into a similar position to keep the Bones escalator going with its gatekeeping and covert input on the same 'public' institutions. This "Bones first, and everyone else later—if ever"—sort of policy shows Bones as the ultimate lobbyist dream: an organization which combines its own imported personnel placement with design of institutions and public policy that affect us—without anyone knowing about it. Thus, instead of simply seeing the below 15 family lists as a list of various individual Bonesmen, by looking at the queuing phenomena of the institutions across the families you can see the type of institutionally durable points they prefer, through which a parade of Bones quietly flow. These points are particularly clear in their 'peculiar fiefs' of education-journalism-media, financial partners, judiciary, (public or private) executives, trustees, treasurers, military officers, ambassadors, 'deputy' this, 'assistant acting heads,' etc. In short, Bonesmen prefer mostly appointed, para-dictatorship status in organizations. There is a curious lack of Bonesmen who take the route of 'hiding' as legislators or representatives. Instead there are many mayors, judges, military officers, treasurers, executives, ambassadors, appointed 'executive assistants', 'deputies' for executive or judicial power, financial trustees of institutions, 'general counsels' to important executives or governments, etc. It is this contrast between Bonesmen who prefer para-dictatorial methods combined with secrecy that is a conflict of interest with the 'public' institutions that they want to occupy; this para-dictatorial secrecy can be highlighted by a Bones eye view analysis which is one of the attractions here: which United States organizations have the most (Bones') skeletons in the closet, so to speak, and should be the least trustworthy to be actually called public institutions to fulfill any public charges, and instead should be perceived as illegitimate manipulative devices? Which positions in such institutions are used by Bones networks, to flesh out Bones' power repeatedly?
My original thought was that perhaps only looking at the most extreme cases of intergenerational families, you would most likely see the institutional 'essence' in a wider social sense, i.e., what it means to be a Bonesman by looking at this most 'in' of the 'in group. What are the core experiences of these 15 UberBonesman families—the elite of an already elite group? What organizations do they focus on amongst themselves? What organizations do they co-opt durably or fill over United States history whether public or private once they are loosed from the Tomb upon graduation?
Actually, I have come to understand that, to my satisfaction, this question can only be successfully answered if you compare the top 15 families to all the rest of Bones membership looking for similarities or differences to see if the top 15 can even be considered as a group in the first place. However, this perusal of the top 15 will suffice for the present as an introduction to this institutional and strategic analyis of 'Bones in action.'
As other researchers have indicated, Bonesmen would be perusing for contacts and mutual aid for themselves, like anyone else. However, they would have a large two volume black leather-bound set of books (labeled with the Bones code number 322) and they would have a mutual vow of secrecy to cloak any suggestions, intimations, or cheating plots they would want to share with their brothers in Bones to get what they want.
Now however, this Bones eye view is available to the public, particularly the institutions that they prefer to lie in wait within!
It helps to remember how little Bonesmen are forced to rely on their own skills or abilities so they have 'degraded' over the 150 years in my opinion with more reliance on cronyism than ability. This shows up as a 'survival of what fits' sort of motif: like the personality traits of the utterly shallow and irredeemably mean-spirited Bush family, seemingly 'accomplished' (skilled) in nothing particular except keeping power nepotistically for generations and profiting by creating suffering. In other words, it's nothing about 'the Bushes' that make Bones. It's everything about the sponsorship networks of Bones that holds increasingly spineless, 'character-less,' chameleonic, cruel, psychopathic, self-serving simpletons like the Bushes in power.
In conclusion, before raw data was made public, only questions that interested Sutton could be researched because he kept the roster entirely private. Now however anyone can research their own questions about Bones to 'flesh out' interesting questions about massive covert networks of power that attempt to water down or drown this 'open democracy' called the United States. For instance, did you know it was a Bonesman Supreme Court Justice (Waite) that gave corporations personhood in the late 1800s? That they founded Johns Hopkins? That they founded the University of California System? That the arranged for the land grant university frameworks? That they served as paymasters in the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and multiple positions in the war boards of WWI? That they founded (and have considered their territorial fief) the head administrative positions of the American Historical Association and the American Psychological Association? Any wonder that behavioralist and manipulative frameworks of psychology and drug reactions are considered the curricula of the U.S. here? Any wonder why history is so watered down? It's meant to be that way beause of a political agenda. (See the below Bertrand Russell quote for how 'they' think.) Yes, they are this integrated into the main story of U.S. history. Bonesmen got the land grant university frameworks passed—and then promptly monopolized all federal funds for themselves for the better part of 30 years to assure that only Bones-sponsored supremacy in educational institutions got an unfair head start. As I mentioned in the last post, I seriously think the Bonesmen should be completely disbanded, because they are an ongoing destabilization and infiltration of both democratic and military institutions of the United States.
I am well aware that these little biographies only scratch the institutional surface. That's all I am interested in here. They are useful in revealing interesting patterns of what particular institutional dominance strategies and types of positions they want.
Another question could be asked, opposite from these Bones-eye views of America. This question would be the essence of what it means for the rest of us to have a government by Bones skullduggery of these 15 families and their associates, as a major nepotistic gatekeeper on institutional design, policy, and the process of 'representation' for over 150 years. Bones are more hegemonic in some states than others. You can figure this out for yourself below. They have always been desirous of exercising their Bones agenda in the federal government. Skull and Bones really is a window into an ugly American Secret Establishment.
So come with me: imaging looking over a Bonesman's shoulder as they furtively peruse behind locked doors their dynamite packed contact list. It was something secret they did for 150 years.
BONEYARD POLITICS

INTERLOCKING DIRECTORATES OF WAR PLANNING & WAR PROFITEERING
One of the most striking themes—and perhaps the only commonality I have noticed in this look at exclusively the top 15 families--is that they are so militarily and dictatorially minded, though without any military loyalties per se. They simply want to use military methods on the civil population since in that manner they can demote more representative institutions, that is all. This is why entirely civilian Bonesmen from the top 15 families particuarly appear from nowhere in the early start of wars and take military control. This is why Bonesmen want wars. Wars help facilitate the destruction of civil politics that they want. Wars help create an undemocratic ethos of power and its exercise that Bonesmen prefer to have. In short, wars profit them politically in the type of power that they prefer to exercise—autocratic, appointee based, central planning minded.
Plus, wars profit them economically.
Typically, people think of war profiteering as something on the side and done individually via accidental interpersonal contacts; however, it seems that once Skull and Bones is added to the equation, war profiteering historically in the U.S. is revealed as one inescapable phenomena: a systemic covert corruption employing largely Skull and Bones members elevating themselves into military hierarchies for economic profit while serving their above noted preferences for military and undemocratic governments. However, now you can know who the Bonesmen are! The cloaking military uniform and strategy they use is thrown off and all the Bones pins are revealed!
You see, wars in U.S. history since the Civil War have been a 140+ year financial pig out. Since the Civil War, all U.S. wars have been artificially created in very ingenious methods, which have only been polished into a 'formulatic war' whenever war is wanted as a different policy environment. This finanical pig out is where Bones 'officers' (almost all of them without any military background, simply civilians inserted immediately after Tomb-graduation if there is a war on!) are appointed to be placed in charge of federal contracts disbursement; this has occurred like clockwork: in the Civil War on the side of the North, the Spanish-American War, and WWI. And all this is evident simply by limiting yourself to looking at the top 15 families!
I imagine that more detailed and wider views of Skull and Bones would show them connected to paymastering position in other wars like WWII, Korea, and Vietnam as well.
Whenever there is an artificially engineered war to force an issue of undemocratic political organization that Bonesmen innately prefer (as mentioned above), the Bones membership pins are hidden away below a military uniform just as traitors always attempt to wrap or cover themselves in the flag. High level officers in the Army and Navy, are imported from the avilable Bonepile. They quickly make a buck for Bones by manipulating mass psychology, mass munitions, and mass money. Second, these positions likely insulate themselves in the process from the direct bullets that they instead direct at others in their war planning or leadership; it seems that the only accurate history of American war profiteering shows it being facilitated, directed, or vetted by the top families of Bones!
This in itself is astounding. This in itself makes Bones very important: it is systemic fraud organizationally speaking which is almost as old as Skull and Bones itself.

In the Smiths, the lineage connections between them all are unknown overall. From the names it can be definitely assumed that at least two Smiths are a father and son intergenerational pair, however. Plus, the even spacing, if the name Smith was indeed random, would hardly be there! Plus, the same institutional affiliations seen in the other major 15 families show up in the Smith family as well, showing particular commonalities.
LIEUTENANT BONES, REPORTING FOR WAR PROFITEERING AND ESCAPE FROM THE BULLETS, AS ORDERED, SIR!
As discussed in the first post, 'automatic' promotions immediately to Lt. Colonel/Lieutenant/First Lieutenant/Second Lieutenant/Major and other noncommissioned and commissioned officers in Army and Navy are seen despite NONE TO A MAN having anything to do with army or navy!—until they are magically pretending to be LIEUTENANT BONES!.
However, this 'pretending' to be an officer is, very formally and very puzzlingly, real.
From analysis of a total of 18 families so far over two posts about this, it is fair to say that one major general institutional 'affect' of Skull and Bones is extreme cronyism of unqualified officers in the US Army and US Navy particularly. They have put themselves in time of war as officers in the domestic reserves many times as well. In other words, George W. Bush's little crony escape from Vietnam into the Texas Air Force National Guard (despite being totally unqualified on the tests) was hardly unique it seems. Many other Bonesmen have done this.
Many of them are financiers, CEOs, or 'literary' people of Skull and Bones who escape going into war—by jumping higher up, into officers uniforms. As I said, Bones members prefer and are prone to more dictatorial methods instead of democratic ones. Many of the financiers in Bones, it is safe to assume, are actually out for their own war profiteering. Instead of aiming to use their positions to fight wars to the least damaging conclusion, they would have a personal conflict of interest in escalating the cost or duration of wars—and thus their destructiveness.
They would additionally be available to insert covert agenda into war planning that no one could know about—like avoiding bombing runs that would hit traitorous U.S.-owned factories aiding Germany in WWII in Germany, for instance; like allowing the Jewish Holocaust to keep going on, undisturbed, without any attempts to bomb the fences or break open the camps despite knowing about it. These are simply two nasty examples of the power that they would have, if Bones were the exclusively conduit here. A third mostly unresearched topic of covert agenda in many wars in the past 100 years has been the pro-hierarchical Catholic and pro-Nazi destruction of any ethnic minorities (Armenians), or Protestants, Baptists, and Russian Orthodox peoples (or Buddhists, in Vietnam under a totalitarian Catholic Asian run government). This a general religious holocaust method can be covertly cloaked in many major wars, as hierarchical religious frameworks of identity attempt to destroy existing more locally representative religious groups.
Plus, how can one avoid war profiteering when Bones administrators, without any institutional loyalities, are more readily capable of hurting the public, the Army, and Navy in which they find themselves—since the officer corps are infested (and inve$ted... ) with Skull and Bonesmen who have cheated their way through the military in sponsored cronyism that elevates them to undeserving heights and responsibilities of public power? They would be more likely to do damage to or redesign such institutions for someone else's goals than to preserve them for the actual goals, given their Bones-outsider status despite powers that inserts them there.
As others have noted, this perpetuates a juvenile, destructive, and vicious attitude of dictatorship without institutional loyalties. This is very dangerous if such a huge number (as you will see here!) of Army and Navy officers (even in a look at only 18 families!) across multiple U.S. wars come through the single door of the Skull and Bones 'boot camp' of the Tomb, as seemingly their only (in)visible qualification before being offered to lead, plan, finance, or organize warfare.
Much more research would have to be done on individual careers in military positions to know for sure. However, the essence of many Skull and Bonesmen being temporarily elevated to large bureaucratic military decision making—and then seemingly back out like nothing ever happened except mass death and mass profits—shows that their public service is a total sham at best. At worst, any Bonesmen participation in war is only a way to escape the brutalities of wars they organize and inflict on others with numbed cruelty, encouraged from a sense of untouchability and secrecy of their actual goals how they got there and what they are actually doing there.
NOTES ABOUT SMITH FAMILY
Additional notes about the Smiths so far: particularly note the immediate captaincy of the future Smith founder of Federal Express. In 1966, the split-second he get out of Yale, he was made a captain in the USMC. (Yes, Federal Express was founded and is run by a Bonesman. This represents an historical regularity I have noticed between covert operations, spies, and postal services. Typically, in terms of strategy networks of postal services from colonial British times (and even in England at the present) they double as covert operations spy networks. That Bonesmen head a privatized mail service, given that many Bonesmen are spies, shows a dangerous potential human insecurity in the Federal Express network that take less coaxing for secret police to be allowed into its operation. Buyer beware.
The founding of Federal Express is interesting because it was connected to a Skull and Bones Smith. It is further interesting because of all the incredible expenses of this operation from warehouses to service fleets to huge jumbo jets were in place on the first day of its opening to the public. Of course these issues had to be arranged to make the service and idea work. However, the incredible financing this took beforehand and the incredible risk when no one was even sure there was a market for such a thing originally—according to articles I have read about it—makes me wonder who wanted to have a huge privatized network of postal services in the United States in the first place for very important packages. Who has sponsored and streamlined the red tape and financing of this Bonesman operation called Federal Express? Well, on to the membership:

Before 9-11-01, George W. Bush visited his 'alma mater' (actually his boneyard) Yale University and gave a snotty juvenile speech that was coated with contempt for education than praise for it. There was one part of the speech where Bonesman Bush intoned, and I paraphrase: "Well, I suppose the difference between Cheney and myself is that I went to Yale. I became President (sic). Cheney went somewhere else and only got to be Vice President." Substitute Yale for Skull and Bones and it would be closer to the truth. Just to make his actual subtext known to the world Bush was caught—in full educational robe and regalia—making a devil's hand sign into the audience. He had a very cold, sticky smirk on his face, as he knowingly looked down into the audience. Assuredly, other Bonesmen who were making similar signs at him or had attracted his attention. The Cheney family has been one of these Skull and Bones blood brothers.
The Cheney family is hardly one of the foundational occult political families of the United States in the strict sense of the term 'foundation' and even in the limited sense of looking in the Skull and Bones memberships from 1833-1985 (with some scattered later ones) that appear in the book Fleshing out Skull and Bones (2003). However, in a wider sense of the word foundation from almost as soon as the ink on the parchment of the Constitution was dry, the organization of Skull and Bones becomes a coterie of preeminent actual "Founding Fathers" and power shakers of the United States. One caveat about Skull and Bones. If data allowed, it would be important to look into the other Yale secret societies that were founded a generation after Skull and Bones (Wolf's Head, Scroll and Key, Book and Snake) to create a fuller picture. These have the same type of iconography and symbolism as Skull and Bones—and likely very similar rituals. It is likely that these are hardly 'competitive' societies amongst themselves. This is because (in)famous Scroll and Key members for example work equally well with Bones when in power from the few cases known. Until other disgruntled Yale patriots actually expose these other societies, and are interested in dismantling those as well, we only have Skull and Bones memberships to analyze. It's damning enough. It is already clear even with only the Skull and Bones list, it is an astoundingly full roster of major political figures, political directions, institutional administration, and crony families all intertwined just slightly off stage and just slightly above the plebes—suspended there always involved in governmental contracts throughout the history of the United States. More and more they are coming into the white hot light of the media and television because they have almost done away with any competition. The Bones/Bones '04 'election choice' between Bush and Kerry—where they both have a history of covering up for each other, is a perfect example.
Though there are a huge number of Cheney's in Skull and Bones, they are hardly foundational to the organization. They are however foundational to American imperialism. The Cheney family achieved positional power during the run up to the more militant American imperialism of the 1890s. They seemed to have been involved in all wars of the period, from the little attempts to invade Mexico to stealing Cuba from the Spanish in the Spanish-American war. The latter was organized by a similar fake P.R. campaign of yellow journalism very similar to the run up for attacking Afghanistan and Iraq—which benefited the Cheneys there as well. In the Spanish-American war, similar to the Afghanistan media spectacle, 'sudden terrorism' destroyed symbols of American power and sovereignty. In this case, it was the USS Maine sitting in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The U.S. claimed the Spanish completely out the blue decided to fire upon it. However, divers later found that there was an internal explosion that was likely set intentionally in the coal bin. This planned explosion of course coincided with Hearst newspaper reporters who had already been sent there waiting for the 'self-hit' state terror action. "You provide the pictures, I'll provide the war," Hearst told his underlings. Iraq and Afghanistan is simply the same manipulative lie as the Spanish-American war. It seems Cheney's family members were physically involved in the "Rough Riders" that ran up San Juan Hill led by Ted Roosevelt, who was taking time off from covering up his family's drug operations in New York City. They protected themselves by sending mostly defenseless Black Americans up San Juan Hill before the white NYC plutocrats that made up Roosevelt's "Rough Riders", telling the Black Americans that unless they marched up that hill, they would be killed by Roosevelt instead. The "Americans" (actually the Roosevelt family) won the hill. The Roosevelt family by the way has been involved in Cuban sugar mills since the early 1700s, before there was even a United States.
Anyway, I believe you can see commonalities. It has been over 100 years of the same boring strategy of "they attacked us!" which has been used over and over by these war criminals when it was actually state terror arranged by the U.S. whether we look at the Spanish-American war, the provocation on the Lusitania (which Churchill and FDR—both either close to or directly administrative heads of their respective countries navies at the time) made sure that this ship carrying Americans was unprotected so the blood could be splashed across newspapers in the United States. These newspapers of course just like the Hearst/Cuba operation had previously been bought up by the Morgan cartel to organize the war propagandizing. Morgan came to own around 25% of print media just before WWI with the aims of more than guiding public opinion—it was the aim to create it in certain directions. Next of course was the we-made-sure-it-happened 'attack' on Pearl Harbor which killed a hell of a lot of people for more blood for the newspaper presses; the next Korean 'conflict' (provoked by Allen Dulles and co-conspirators; Dulles arrives in South Korea the day before the South provoked the North to attack); then the Vietnam 'conflict' (the Gulf of Tonkin lie similar to the USS Maine lie, similar to the Pearl Harbor lie); to the lies of the 1993 WTC bombing, where FBI provided the bombs to the patsy mark; to the 1995 Murrah Building where internal government planted bombs were only partially successful (and so they were quickly removed—see the amazing footage reproduced in the Alex Jones film 9-11: The Road to Tyranny which is available free on the web); to the lies of Afghanistan in 2001 (the lie that Osama bin Laden had something to do with the state terror internal demolitions of the WTCs, the attempt to ignore a 2 hour NORAD national stand down of automatic responses that were arranged on that day so the rest of the state terror could occur, or the internal cordite bombs and radio controlled missile/jet that struck the Pentagon—only of course on the single mostly empty and the only single reinforced side of course that was scheduled to be completed and ready by September 2001); to the lies of Iraq in 2003 (without any danger to the U.S. at all, so the court appointed Bush league of operators pre-emptively attacked a mostly defenseless country—similar to Poland in 1939, which was the same pre-emptive strategy that Germany was guilty of in WWII. In short, America's public official history is one long elite lie to its people on exactly how evil and deviantly cruel these elites are and how organized is their mass manipulation machine. None of the 'military actions' the United States has conducted for 100 years have been 'real', they have been staged provocations with the aims of expanding an American empire to where in 2004 the military budget of the federal government takes well over HALF of the total taxes of the country. The Cheney family has been in the thick of these developments from pre-emptive beginnings in 1898 to the pre-emptive present of 2003's attack on Iraq. They have been war profiteers throughout. They have been (or would have all been) Skull and Bones throughout, if the present Dick Cheney would have stayed at Yale.
From the chart above, note that almost all Cheney family picks in the record get into Skull and Bones from the small period of 1892-1922. However, a huge number have laid in the coffin with someone naked during that time. Such a huge number of them quickly catapulted them into the top 15 or so families that have a record of at least 10 or more of their surnames appearing in the roster. As mentioned above:

He then went to the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he worked half-heartedly on a degree in political science. He was working on his dissertation when he dropped everything and was pulled into the federal government by [guess who... ] Donald Rumsfeld for little other apparent public rationale except that "Rumsfeld liked a memo Cheney had written." I suspect that there is a lot more going on than the odd (very odd) generosity of Rumsfeld, or the ability of a bureaucratic memo to excite Rumsfeld in the early 1970s; It is noticeable that Dick Cheney subsequently became the youngest White House Chief of Staff in U.S. history (Ford Administration [Ford went to Yale... ], while Rumsfeld became Ford's Secretary of Defense); Later, Dick Cheney became [Skull and Bones] G. H. W. Bush's Secretary of Defense; Cheney in the early 1990s signed up with the 'ideals' of the Project for the New American Century document (the Mein Kampf of neoconservative Christian-Zionists), brining his family's warmongering heritage to over 100 years of war profiteering and war planning; in the 1990s, Cheney was placed as head of Halliburton, a large military and oil construction services corporation [that very likely dabbles in fronting for the global drug trade, which explains their interest in Afghanistan and its opium, as explained by the Ruppert article "The Bush-Cheney Drug Empire", written before Bush-Cheney had even 'taken' (in all senses of the word) office. Halliburton even built Guantanamo Bay's latest extraterritorial prison; Cheney of course though a hardly elaborate ruse is still profiting from Halliburton—being awarded a million a year from Halliburton for 'past services rendered.' His so called 'divestment' from Halliburton was only an indirect investment elsewhere: he 'divested' from Halliburton by buying up stock in the largest mutual fund investor of Halliburton. Perhaps one of the rationales for him hiding underground like a mole is that he is being internationally served with court suits from everything from bribery to a discussion of his proclivity to hunt nude children down, with guns and dogs, on top secret military bases for 'fun.']
That Dick Cheney could leave Yale and Skull and Bones—and still be this highly sponsored—shows that Skull and Bones is hardly main variable here that is responsible for some types of clientelistic sponsorship into power. It seems that regardless of his personal Bones status, Cheney's family itself seems to be a variable. Bones membership in the past has only facilitated their more hereditary power instead of been responsible for it. This brings up lots of interesting questions for other research.

Taft knows how to start out the Skull and Bones career with a German bang; I have noted from additional perusal of the lists that LATER THE SAME FOREIGN MINISTER POSITIONS TO THESE COUNTRIES WAS KEPT UP BY OTHER BONESMEN, one of them another large group—the Phelps. These are geographic areas from which the original Skull and Bones "Order" was seeded. Were they keeping up occult contact subsidized by the United States itself? Skull and Bones itself is an American branch of a German-based secret society.

CONCLUSIONS
As for point one, about whether they work together or against each other, it seems that the major 15 families in Skull and Bones fail to have much interconnection with each other at least publicly or institutionally. However, there is a large degree of 'daisy chaining' where they do work together or are in the same cohorts of Bones. Plus, in data not shown whole half centuries can feasibly be run siimply to get these families in Bones whenever a son goes to Yale, simply by other sons sonsoring them. Effectively, for the whole period they could almost sponsor each other more or less back and forth with only a few yearly breaks in the 'daisy chain' of years. Plus, following from this, some are much more likely to sponsor some families over others! This is very interesting to me because it may shows an interesting way to proceed in thinking about the alliances of these families. Some sponsored or were correlated with other families more than others, judging by the dates. [see correlation graph, the Taft line failed to come out right, think it has to do with doubled entries when two of a particular family was sponsored in the same year, anyway...] Furthrer research would focus on these examples of mutual cohorts (the higher numbers in the correlation).
The phenomena noted in the first post—that of major families with many minor allied families instead as 'blocs' of sorts in Bones, may be closer to how Bones operates in a 'party system' sort of friendly or unfriendly competition for power themselves, despite helping out each other as well. As I said, it helps to consider Bones as a group of families instead of simply a secret society. It is a secret society method employed by a handful of families, like a spider employs a web.
Point two: prevalent institutions were indeed noted.
Point three: prevalent strategies to achieve power were indeed noted.
Upcoming research will continue this intergenerational analysis to see how far down in prominence one can go and still see the same high level connectivity before they start to congeal with each other in different patterns? Perhaps the next segment of this will look at intergenerational Bones families who have between 9 and 8 members—still rather large number of these. Are these others--- Adams (9), Davis (9), Foster (9), Shepard (9), Campbell (8), Hall (8), Robinson (8), and Whitney (8) --similar to or different than the 15 major families above on these three questions, and in what way?
