Stupid City

I don't need an assalt rifle and i dont need a rule to ban them too.
I heard that the city wants to ban assalt weapons in its city limits.

This is about as stupid of a priority that can be found in the liberal sack of ideas.

If anything, the city should provide each Black family a bazooka to keep the white pigs from killing jailing thier brothers, but thats another story...

I hope that more foder for the rural voters not to vote democratic will not be provided the city. The city should make efforts not to produce such divisive ideas when they should be providing sound reasons and defense from bigots and try to pass measure 36. It should be trying to protect its citizens from ramification measure 36 if it does pass.

Perhaps the motive of the city government is to provide a good republican turn out.

Laws do not make us safer. What makes us safe is education and communication. Perhaps the city should consider providing gun safty classes in the schools. Perhaps the police force could assist in this for
community relations.
yes, it is stupid.... 22.Sep.2004 21:25

the "assault weapons" ban was a worthless law that did nothing to make americans safer. it was just a placebo to get a few folks re-elected, much like the mandatory sentancing laws. all they did was just deprive more people of thier freedoms at taxpayer expense. education and the ability for people to earn a decent wage would reduce crime much more than any ban or new jails. but that wouldn't concentrate power and give more to the rich, would it?

assault weapons are old-hat 22.Sep.2004 23:48

Geez, assault weapons are nothing anymore. Let's just arm us with little nuke missiles. That's our right, right? A little militia, a band of merry nukers, holding onto our right. Wowee! fun, fun, fun.

Considering that there are many more black on black killings than cop on black killings each year this is absurd.

I can see it now. The cops trying to sell kids guns in the schools based on safety. HAHAHAHA

laws make us safer 23.Sep.2004 06:55

maybe

Laws made slavery, and that made some safer.

Laws pervented the vote for women and that made some safer.

Laws stop me from buying liqour on sunday and that makes us safer.

The patriot act is a law that makes us safer.

War supposed to makes some safer too. Its iileagal to drive planes into buildings to and that did not seem to do much to keep us safer did it?

Can you see the red herring yet?

Saftey argument is for the paranoid. For those who are full of fear.
You are more likely to get hit by you neighbors car riding your bike, struck by lightning or killed by you doctor than shot with a gun.

To treat the symptoms of violence is not stopping violence. Laws do nothing you do things.
We need more law to feel safe
We need more law to feel safe

Yeah, the AWB meant well, but it was written by people that know nothing about guns. It was as sensible as medical marijuana bans written by non-doctors (federal law is mostly NOT written by doctors, where Oregon's medical marijuana law was written with their input).

The ban was a failure no matter what side of the issue you are on. It never even slowed don the flow of these guns, but it did pester the type of people that buy these things and shoot tin cans as opposed to people. Thus the criminals had no problem with this law, but the law-abiding folks did.

Useless useless useless. If you are going to write opressive laws like this, at least know what the hell you are talking about when you do!
