Government tower collapse theory is nonsense
author: Fred Bauer
The WTC towers could not have collapsed at a free fall rate without some help. This is easy to prove with a simple thought experiment and some easy mathematics.

Here is the proof. First you know that an object will drop at the rate of 1/2 g t^2. The tower is 1350 feet high so an object would fall from the top in ((2*1350)/32)^.5 = 9.18 seconds. There is general agreement that the towers collapsed in less than 10 seconds.
The same result can be reached by a different method. In the following computer program, the time for each foot of the fall is calculated and added together to find the total collapse time.
FOR H=0 TO 1350 :REM distance to ground zero
T=(V+(V^2+64)^.5)/32 :REM time taken to fall one foot
TIME=TIME+T :REM total time to reach ground zero
V=(V+32*T) :REM velocity in feet/sec
M=M+1 :REM mass
NEXT H :REM loop back
PRINT TIME :REM print total time
run
9.187994 Seconds
Note that the times match nicely. We know the program works.
Now a thought experiment. If the tower is collapsing, one floor hitting the next, the fall will be slowed due to the conservation of momentum. A moving mass is striking a stationary mass. The speed must be less than free fall, but by how much?
We modify the program to account for this accumulating mass. Let's say each story has a mass of M. We do not need to know the actual figure for mass because the units cancel out. Velocity V is multiplied by the moving mass and divided by the stationary mass.
M/(M+1)
FOR H=0 TO 1350 :REM distance to ground zero
T=(V+(V^2+64)^.5)/32 :REM time taken to fall one foot
TIME=TIME+T :REM total time to reach ground zero
V=(V+32*T)*M/(M+1) :REM velocity in feet/sec
M=M+1 :REM mass
NEXT H :REM loop back
PRINT TIME :REM print total time
run
15.8823 Seconds
It would take almost 16 seconds to reach the ground given that the fall started at the top. But this model is incomplete because it does not include the resistance of crushing the steel and concrete. The energy needed to destroy the building would have slowed the fall much more.
These calculations are simplistic and do not take into account all variables, but they do help quantify what common sense tells us, that steel building cannot collapse at free fall rates without demolition. Government collapse theories overlook these physical realities and are nonsense.

So it seems we either have a missing 5 seconds in time, or the buildings fell apart 5 seconds too fast, correct?
Keep in mind the planes didn't hit the top floors of each building they hit about 2/3s of the way up. So you don't have one floor collapsing on top of another, you have about 25 floors collapsing on top of on floor at a time. This means that the conservation of momentum was minimal or greatly reduced.
Your not going to find an answer to 911 in a math book., but good try eggbert.
