PDX Greens Present the "It Ain't Easy Being Green" Benefit Concert

On Sept. 18, the Portland Metro Chapter of the Pacific Green Party presents the "It Ain't Easy Being Green" benefit concert at Liberty Hall (311 N. Ivy), featuring three Portland musical acts. Proceeds from the show will help support Green candidates running for office.

This all-ages show will feature a variety of musical styles. The opening band is Blake Carter, who plays political/folk acoustic guitar; the second band is GoodYear, a hardcore/punk-rock band and the headlining act is MEDIAM, which plays progressive rock with political overtones.

In addition to the music, the PDX Greens will also introduce their Portland Green candidates who are vying for seats from the Oregon House to Teresa Keane, who is challenging Ron Wyden for his U.S. Senate seat.

"We hope this will be a fun and exciting event," explains Camille Clingan, Co-Chair of the PDX Greens. "We are locked in a bitter and divisive election season. We want to shift that negativity into an event that casts that aside—at least for one night."

Admission is $5 and no one turned away. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.
