Legal update: There is currently a stay on the writ of habeas corpus that has been filed by the legal team. The stay will be in affect until the judge rules on the the appeal, that has been filed by the DA. This may or may not happen before 1:00am. Legal is confident the judge will rule in favor of the writ. In which case, they will have to start releasing everyone. The writ will apply to all detainees, whether or not the have filed their information with Legal. It will not apply to John and Jane Does.
Interesting sidenote: a judge is currently on his/her way to Pier 57 to determine whether or not conditions there are suitable for detention. Back at Central Booking... a caller reports police are stepping up presence as crowd of jail supporters grows.
