thanks!

now what?

I'm curious as to when this was released 11.Aug.2004 17:43

reader

Are they really so cowardly that they are giving less than 48 hours notice? I mean why even bother to come here if it displays such unmitigated fear of people exercising the constitutional rights? It's not like Bush supporters can't mail their checks to the campaign.

motorcade 11.Aug.2004 17:47

m

according to the trimet page, bush will be in a motorcade, crossing the max red line (so expect delays, yeah)....combine this with the itinerary posted elsewhere, add a dash of rowdy, bake for 15 minutes, serves everyone!

by the way...
public transit from downtown to the highschool is apparently not available according to the trimet page.

These options are from the beaverton transit center. Looks like only a couple lines run for business drops (7am-ish or 6pm-ish) to that area. Look up the individual lines for other times, this search was done with a 7am target time.

06:45 AM Board 76 Tualatin to Meridian Hospital.
07:00 AM Get off at Washington Square Transit Center Go to Washington Square Transit Center (Stop ID 9650)

07:05 AM Board 62 Murray Blvd to Sunset TC.
07:15 AM Get off at Murray & Teal Blvd Go to Murray & Teal Blvd (Stop ID 8625)

07:34 AM Board 92 Portland Express. 07:43 AM Get off at 125th & Longhorn

WE ARE FILING AN INJUNCTION TO GET OUR LOCATION BACK... 11.Aug.2004 19:34

Anthony Vicari anthony@stopbushseattle.com

As you guessed it, the Secret Service says we cannot rally at the Medina Elementary School...So, our attorney is filing an emergency injunction...
Also,
We have been notified that Bush will be staying the night at the Redmond Marriott Town Center after his dinner in Medina. Then he will attend a Republican picnic in Bothell...here's the address:

Freed Farm
14704 100th Ave NE
Bothell, WA 98011

Anyone interested in attending our organized protest of Bush at the Medina Park or at his hotel in Redmond or the event in Bothell...just come on up to Seattle and have a weekend full of protesting!!!

Bus to the school (BETTER instructions) 12.Aug.2004 12:17

no one in particular imc-bush-bus@krimedawg.org

Don't tell anyone, but I grew up about 8 blocks from that high school (before it was built, though).

The bus to that school is an express bus that runs infrequently, BUT the school is only .5 miles from Scholls Ferry, which is a busy street with several busses.

In particular, the 62 runs from Washington Square and the Beaverton transit center. It has a stop at 125th & Scholls Ferry Rd. From that stop, walk .5 miles north on 125th to reach the school.

The 45 runs from downtown and goes to 121st & Scholls Ferry Rd. From there, walk 4 blocks west to 125th, and then .5 miles north to reach the school.

SO, if you want directions from a certain place at a certain time, use the trimet trip planner on their website, and tell it you want to go to "SW 121st & Scholls Ferry Rd." (paste that in, without the quotes!) (Also, note that if you're taking the 62, you should actually get off at 125th & Scholls, but the trip planner is weird, so just use 121st to get the best trip.)

That will get you there! Hope this helps!
