Black Cross trainings start on time, so you may want to arrive a little early. Please bring a sack lunch, water, and the equipment you would want to carry at a demonstration or protest. Dress in comfortable clothing and wear shoes or boots that you can move in (sandals are not a good idea).
More information about Black Cross Health Collective and our first aid trainings is on our website, which is listed here. But the idea is to teach a lot of useful information in a hands-on setting where we have some fun and you learn how to be immediately effective.
This information will be useful for those folks who will be going to the Republican National Convention in New York City, but it would also be useful if you come across someone who is knocked off their bicycle by a car. We teach decontamination from chemical weapons such as tear gas and pepper spray and how to deal with blunt trauma, such as when the police hit you with a club, as well as other useful skills.
Donations are always welcome, but Black Cross has never refused to train anyone for lack of funds.
For more information, contact email@example.com Hope to see you there. You should be done in plenty of time to go to the RNC Legal benefit at Back to Back Cafe at 8 PM.
