NOT one teen 'AIDS' case ever - Japan

If 'AIDS really is a sexually transmitted syndrome (common cause -'HIV'- for old existing diseases) then why is there almost no 'AIDS' in Japan. Not one teen case ever and only 9 female cases in twenty years.

Grand totals of HIV/AIDS cases to date

Heterosexual sexual contact 45 (ALL)
10-19 age group: - 1 case

Heterosexual sexual contact 30 (ALL)
Age 10-19 age group: - ZERO

Total female 'AIDS' cases (ALL) 9

Strange for such a sexually active country with a massive sex industry and international travel second to none.

NOTE: - The link itself says 'cases to date' and the web site says "Grand totals of HIV/AIDS cases"

The first reported case of AIDS in Japan — a homosexual man, who apparently contracted the disease while in the U.S. — was in 1985, although two hemophiliacs had died earlier from what now is believed to have been AIDS. Eighteen years later, the disease is still not even a blip on Emiko's radar.

But it is unfair to single her out as being reckless or particularly wanton. A recent Newsweek report cited a joint Japan-U.S. study that found that of 602 teens ages 15-19 surveyed in Tokyo's Shibuya district, 43% said they had five or more casual sexual partners. Around 20% of 16-year-olds surveyed in rural areas also reportedly had several such "sex friends."

Total cases in twenty years amount to only 6,000 or 325 a year.

Japan Only Now Confronting Rising HIV Rate
San Francisco Chronicle
03.17.03; Suvendrini Kakuchi
At a popular Tokyo restaurant, a dozen young sex workers are engrossed in a heated debate over ways to avoid AIDS and other STDs and still keep their jobs should a client insist on not using a condom. The women are attending a monthly meeting led by former prostitutes and health activists working for the nongovernmental organization Sex Work and Sexual Health (SWASH).

UNAIDS reports that just 12,000 adults out of 127 million Japanese have HIV. But during 2002, Japan recorded unprecedented new infection rates with 301 new cases of AIDS and 595 HIV cases. Health experts say this number could increase to 50,000 by 2010 because of a booming sex trade (estimated at $13 billion annually), declining condom use, lack of an effective government awareness program, increased sexual activity among young people and the low status of women in Japanese society.

According to Masako Kihara, an AIDS expert and adviser to the health ministry, more than 60 percent of the newly infected are in their teens or 20s. Numerous surveys demonstrate that most men and women in their 20s do not use condoms.

Kihara points to a lack of AIDS education for young people, whose ignorance about the subject she describes as "frightening." AIDS education in primary and middle school, which began just last year, focuses on eliminating HIV discrimination rather than teaching safe sex, AIDS activists complain.

Activists and some academics also highlight a culture that discourages female assertiveness. "A woman initiating the issue of HIV with their partners and asking them to use condoms would appear rude and challenging, an image she would want to avoid," said Yasuko Muramatsu, professor of women's studies at Gakugei University in Tokyo.

Meanwhile, Kihara says that without an effective government program, "all signs in Japan point to higher HIV rates in the future."

Young People Account for 40 Percent of HIV-Infected in Japan
Associated Press
08.06.02; Kozo Mizoguchi
People in their teens and 20s account for nearly 40 percent of all Japanese newly infected with AIDS, according to new Health Ministry figures that officials say underline a disturbing new trend. While the overall number of Japanese infected with HIV remains low compared to other countries, the Health Ministry said lax condom use has caused infection rates to spike among young people.

A record high 621 people were newly infected with HIV last year in Japan, an increase of 34 percent over 2000, ministry official Makoto Iwakura said Tuesday citing the annual report of the ministry's disease control division. Of those new cases, 525 were Japanese nationals -- with about 40 percent being teenagers and people in their 20s. The others were foreigners living in Japan. Japanese AIDS experts said the new trend should be seen as a wake-up call and warned that the actual number of Japanese infected with HIV is probably about five times higher than the reported figures.

An official from the Japanese AIDS Foundation said on condition of anonymity that the increase is spurred by casual attitudes toward sex among young people as well as misconceptions about the risks. Prejudice against people with AIDS also discourages many young people from getting tested for the virus. To boost awareness of the danger of HIV, the Health Ministry began airing television commercials this month under the slogan "Stop AIDS" and featuring national soccer team goalkeeper Seigo Narazaki, who gained recent popularity in the 2002 World Cup hosted by Japan and South Korea.

Since there is no evidence that HIV causes AIDS, the original post's information still stands. Projected HIV rates do not pertain to AIDS. Self-serving studies/statistics about the "imminent threat" that HIV poses keeps the AID$ hoax machinery in pritable motion. The AID$ industry funds only studies that take as an unquestionable given that HIV=AIDS.

AIDS is caused by recreational drug use, antiviral chemotherapy, overuse of antibiotics, and malnutrition. These things have long been known to cause immunosuppression and the 29 AIDS-defining diseases that result.

Slow HIV epidemics breed complacency in Asia

T V Padma
14 July 2004
Source: SciDev.Net

[BANGKOK] Experts have warned that Asian governments are underestimating the threat of the region's slowly-evolving HIV epidemics, and are not implementing adequate strategies to prevent transmission of the virus.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 15th International Conference on AIDS in Bangkok on Sunday (11 July), Tim Brown, senior research fellow at the US-based East West Centre, said that a slowly developing epidemic is a cause for concern as "it flies below the radar".

Reports by Brown and Karen Stanecki, from the US Bureau of Census's Centre for International Research, have indicated that HIV/AIDS has spread in a broadly similar way within individual Asian countries. The disease first affects injecting drug users (IDUs) and homosexual men. Then, two or three years after this, HIV begins to spread from IDUs to sex workers, and to sex workers' clients. Rates of infection then grow among pregnant women, and in the next generation as a result of mother-to-child transmission.

Despite the similarities across separate Asian countries, the region's epidemic has been characterised by an "incredible diversity" in speed and severity from country to country, said Brown. According to his team's latest modelling studies, Asian nations now fall into three groups.

In the first cluster are countries that experienced early and fast-growing epidemics in the late 1980s. These include Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand, as well as several Indian states - their HIV levels now exceed one per cent of the adult population.

The second group includes much of China, Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam, where the onset of an HIV/AIDS epidemic was delayed until the mid-1990s. HIV infection levels in these regions are less than 0.5 per cent of the population.

Countries in the third group, which includes Bangladesh, Japan, Laos and the Philippines, have yet to see an extensive spread of HIV.

Brown's models predict that over one per cent of adult males and 0.2 per cent of adult females in Asia could be infected with HIV by 2010. These numbers are predicted to rise to almost five per cent of men and two per cent of women by 2030.

The late take-off and slow growth of many Asian epidemics and the absence of extensive HIV infection in some countries is no proof of "national immunity", warned Brown. Though some countries currently appear to have a low prevalence of HIV, inadequate prevention strategies may mean that the epidemic will spread rapidly in a few years, he said.

Accordingly, Karen Stanecki's data shows that in Jakarta, Indonesia, HIV infection rates have risen sharply, from almost ten per cent of IDUs in 1998 to almost 50 per cent in 2003. Following this, the disease spread rapidly to sex workers, where infection rates went from zero per cent in 1999 to nearly ten per cent in 2003. Data from the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS indicates that 70 per cent of male IDUs have unprotected sex with commercial sex workers.

Brown cited Thailand as an example of how focused prevention strategies can significantly reduce infection rates. Almost 90 per cent of Thai sex workers now use condoms and the number of men visiting sex workers has halved. As a result, infection rates in Thailand have fallen from over 140,000 in 1991 to just over 21,000 this year.

Cambodia has also reported a similar rise in the number of condom users and decline in HIV infection rate between 1998 and 2003. But most Asian countries lag behind. In Bangladesh, China and Indonesia, condom use remains low.

Speaking to journalists, Brown predicted a rapid growth of the epidemic in the next two to three years in Bangladesh, and in China, where ten per cent of men visit sex workers.

Condom Use High In Nevada Brothels

NEW YORK "Nevada's mandatory condom law and brothel workers' firm
insistence on condom use are undoubtedly important factors in
ensuring the use of condoms by clients,'' conclude researchers at
Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Their study, published in the April issue of the American Journal of
Public Health, was based on the results of detailed interviews
conducted with 40 licensed female prostitutes at two legal Nevada
brothels during July 1995.

Overall, the women reported that 2.7% of their clients initially
refused to wear a condom during penetrative sex acts. However, 72% of
those men donned a condom "after women stated that neither vaginal
intercourse nor fellatio would otherwise occur.'' Another 12% opted
for nonpenetrative sexual services, while the remaining 16% left
without receiving any services. The researchers say five of the men
in the latter group "were forced to leave the premises by brothel

The overall result? "No worker reported having unprotected vaginal
intercourse with a client who refused to wear a condom,'' according
to the study authors.

The researchers say successful avoidance of unsafe sex may contribute
to "THE ABSENCE OF HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases among
this population.''

It began with an amazing revelation: Not a single legal prostitute in Nevada has contracted HIV since testing began in 1986. Why? Harvard medical student Alexa Albert traveled to Nevada in search of answers. Gaining unprecedented access to the infamous and notoriously secretive Mustang Ranch, Albert reveals a fascinatingly insular world where the women share their experiences with unexpected candor. There's Dinah, Mustang's oldest prostitute, who turned her first trick years ago at age fifty-one, and Savanna, a woman who views her work as a "healing" social service for needy men.

Nevada's legal brothels are an incredibly rich environment for examining some of this nation's thorniest social issues. From problems of class and race to the meaning of family, honor, and justice — all are found within this complex and singular microcosm. And in a country where prejudice is a dirty word — but not a s dirty as hooker — these social issues are compounded and deepened by the stifling stigma that has always plagued the profession. But in the end, all of Mustang's working girls are just women trying to earn their way to happiness.

Woman Who Contracts HIV Speaks
May 17, 2004 - She says she'll forever pay for having unprotected sex with him. It is little relief, but he went to prison this weekend, for knowingly transmitting the virus that causes AIDS.Friday, Adam Musser was sentenced to 50 years behind bars for four counts of having sex with women and not telling them he was HIV positive. Tonight we hear from one of the four victims. One of the four women Musser had sex with Musser says she's now serving a life sentence. Kerri Coiner was just 17 when she entered a relationship with Adam Musser. "I thought he was cute he was sweet," says Coiner. That was in June of 2002, two years after Musser learned he was carrying the deadly AIDS virus. "I heard rumors he was HIV positive. Asked him. He denied it," she said.It wasn't until police arrested Musser in January of 2003. For a similar incident that Coiner decided to get tested. "I had a feeling. I was in shock. Crying. Couldn't believe it had happened to me," she said.It happened, in part, because Coiner didn't insist on practicing safe sex. She said towards the end of their relationship, Musser was not as consistent wearing condoms as when they first started dating. Coiner knows she'll pay for her mistake for the rest of her life. Musser is paying for his by serving a 50-years prison sentence. Prosecutors believe Musser infected many more women. They think they'll come forward after hearing from Coiner. She's breaking the silence; she wishes Musser would have.

"I think of him everyday," she said. "I have to face the fact that I have HIV and I have it from him," she said. We talked with Musser's attorney. He says Musser wants to talk about this; he is remorseful, but the Department of Corrections doesn't allow interviews while they're going through the intake process.

Full Name: Robin Soltini Scorpio

Arrived In Port Charles: 1985

QUESTION: Does Robin really have AIDS?
ANSWER: NO, she does NOT. Unfortunately, this is an area in which the magazines have been very irresponsible in their facts: Robin does not have AIDS, she is HIV+. What this means is that she has in her system the virus that can cause AIDS, which stands for "Acquired Immune Deficiency," a syndrome in which your immune system is decimated. This is from the Merck Source site: "AIDS is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). AIDS is the final and most serious stage of HIV disease, in which the signs and symptoms of severe immune deficiency have developed." So chances are-barring a cure-Robin will develop AIDS, but she has not as of yet. Many HIV+ people can live long and full lives before that happens. Magic Johnson, who announced that he had been diagnosed as HIV+ in 1991, is still living a healthy life and his HIV has not progressed into AIDS.

QUESTION: How did she become HIV+?
ANSWER: At the age of 16, Robin fell in love with Michael "Stone" Cates, an abandoned child who had lived on the streets as a young teen until he was taken in by Sonny Corinthos. Sonny and Stone had had Stone tested for HIV earlier, and he had come up negative. Unfortunately, what they didn't realize is that HIV can hide in the blood stream, and you had to be tested more then once over at least a 6 month period before you knew for sure if you were HIV- or not. Robin and Stone responsibly used condoms their first few times, but after Robin went on the pill and with the belief that Stone was HIV-, they stopped. Alas, it turned out that Stone was HIV+, and this was discovered when he fell ill and was diagnosed as having full blown AIDS. Because they had been having sex without the use of condoms, Robin had been infected as well.

Antiretroviral Therapy in HIV-Infected Children Can Stop Neurological Damage
Virus Weekly (08.27.02) - Thursday, September 05, 2002

Treating HIV-infected children with antiretroviral therapy can stop and potentially even reverse neurological damage caused by the virus, doctors from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center report in Journal of Pediatrics (2002;141(1);36- 44). Neurological symptoms are often one of the first signs HIV has progressed to AIDS in children.
Senior author Dr. Octavio Ramilo, an associate professor of pediatrics at UTS, and colleagues write that children with HIV often fail to reach developmental milestones, show impaired brain growth, and have trouble with fine motor skills even before other signs of developing AIDS are manifested. When treated with antiretroviral therapy targeting the central nervous system, however, children showed neurological improvement. In adult patients, HIV attacks the brain late in the course of the illness. "Kids don't have a developed immune system like adults, so the virus is able to spread much, much faster," Ramilo said.

Twenty-three children ages seven months to ten years were enrolled in the study at the Hospital del Nino in Panama City, Panama. All of the children had been infected with HIV at birth. At the beginning of the study, 83 percent of the children showed neurological abnormalities. After 48 weeks on antiretroviral therapy, only 35 percent of the children continued to show neurological abnormalities.

"This study proves that HIV infects the central nervous system of children, causing severe neurological problems," Ramilo said. "The study underscores the importance of using antiretroviral agents which are active in the central nervous system for treatment of children infected with HIV," he said. "You can see the difference in kids treated with antiretroviral therapy. They lead almost normal lives. They do much better."

The study findings showed the children's central nervous system had fewer HIV-infected cells after antiretroviral therapy treatment. HIV in children's blood and cerebrospinal fluid also showed different patterns of mutation, suggesting the two systems respond differently to drug treatment. The researchers recommended treating children with antiretroviral therapy targeting both the blood and central nervous system. "In the context of the current debates on when to initiate antiretroviral therapy in children, one must take into consideration potentially reversible early neurologic manifestations, which may be underappreciated unless formal neurologic/neuropsychologic testing is performed," the researchers wrote.

Don't take all things at face value 21.Jul.2004 11:54

Japan also has an incredibly low reported rape rate, which could lead one to believe either Japanese men are quite feminist and egalitarian compared to just about every other nation or that misogyny, shame, fear, and disbelief contribute to a climate where reporting rape does not serve victims' needs and may actually be detrimental to their recovery.

Considering recently in California a 16-year old girl unconscious from drugs and alcohol was gangraped on a film which showed her corpse-like body sodomized with a pool cue, Snapple bottle and lit cigarette was judged a liar who pretended to be unconscious after telling the men who raped her she wanted to make gangrape porn where her vagina was burned with a cigarrette (and hence it was recorded officially as if no rape happened), I have a hard time believing any 'official' statistics on rape in patriarchal countries right now.

Please replace the word "rape" in my above final sentence with "official statistics on sexual issues", for that better encompasses my general mistrust of Japan's official AIDS and rape statistics.

Thank you for helping me prove my point -- HIV is not transmittable 21.Jul.2004 14:35

<<Not a single legal prostitute in Nevada has contracted HIV since testing began in 1986. Why?>>

The brothels in Nevada do not allow their prostitutes to use drugs, and in fact control their social life as well. They are well fed and exploited as human capital. Keeping them fed and drug-free makes AIDS impossible for the prostitutes.

It's too bad that the Journal of Pediatrics consucted their study under the unproven theory that AIDS is transmittable via HIV. That lack of scientific rigour calls into question their entire study, unfortunately. When your science is based on bad science, teh resulting study is also bound to be deeply flawed as well.

The data cited as evidence for widespread HIV infection of Thai men by heterosexual contacts has been critically analysed by Eleni Papadopulos et al. The Perth Group concluded that these data do not prove that Thai men acquire HIV by sexual contact with prostitutes specifically or by heterosexual contact in general.

In a British-funded study, it was found that mortality in young (13-44) adults in Uganda is 60 times higher for HIV-seropositives than for seronegatives. Mainstream AIDS scientist present these results as a strong evidence that HIV is the cause of AIDS. Such arguments are very persuasive to public and most scientists, even though being essentially flawed. Elementary analysis shows the results don't confirm, but refute the official HIV-causes- AIDS hypothesis, and they are in good agreement with predictions of the alternative hypotheses advanced by "AIDS-dissidents".

Whenever prostitutes in places where prostitution has been legalized are asked if they use condoms, they almost always answer 'yes' because their pimps/managers could get trouble with the authorities if the truth were revealed. However, when confidentially asked about it, most prostitutes admit there's amuch different story than the offical one:

From Ten Reasons Not to Legalize Prostitution

"It is argued that legalized brothels or other controlled prostitution establishments protect women through enforceable condom policies. In one of CATW's studies, U.S. women in prostitution interviewed reported the following:

47% stated that men expected sex without a condom
73% reported that men offered to pay more for sex without a condom
45% of women said they were abused if they insisted that men use condoms

Some women said that certain establishments may have rules that men wear condoms but, in reality, men still try to have sex without them. One woman stated: 'It's regulation to wear a condom at the sauna, but negotiable between parties on the side. Most guys expected blow jobs without a condom' (Raymond and Hughes: 2001).

In reality, the enforcement of condom policy was left to the individual women in prostitution, and the offer of extra money was an insistent pressure. One woman stated: 'I'd be one of those liars if I said "Oh I always used a condom." If there was extra money coming in, then the condom would be out the window. I was looking for the extra money.'

Many factors militate against condom use: the need of women to make money; older women's decline in attractiveness to men; competition from places that do not require condoms; pimp pressure on women to have sex with no condom for more money; money needed for a drug habit or to pay off the pimp; and the general lack of control that prostituted women have over their bodies in prostitution venues.

Right now, Larry Flint is fighting a proposed California law mandating 100% condom usage in all porn films. He says having his "contracted individuals" (not employees, hence not governed by labor laws) risk their lives by having sex with many high-risk people is less important than his profits. Why think big money pimps anywhere else are any different?

Besides which, condoms are not 100% effective and do not protect from gonorrhoea, chlamydia, genital herpes, or genital warts which are the main cause of cervical cancer. They also do not protect against post traumatic stress disorder and other mental problems found to be remarkably high in prostituted populations.

I agree. ALL THE FACTS PROVE 'hiv' IS NOT AN STD 21.Jul.2004 15:39

CAUCASIAN TEEN 'AIDS' CASES (entire USA) BETWEEN July 1983 and December 2001 = 1211 (male and female).
Source: - CDC
TWELVE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN in nearly 18 years or a mere 67 cases a year.
That figure of 1.28 cases per State is lower than gun shotdeaths in the Mac Arthur Park area of Los Angeles in a single month.
Check for yourself (don't take our word for it) at: -  http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/stats/hasr1302/table7.htm
In the same period people over 60 (caucasian) had 9,338 cases.
Those old folks must be sex mad - Nine times MORE sex than teenagers.
....or could it just be that 'AIDS' is not an std? Surely not? God forbid! Perish the thought!

The 10-year Padian study observed sexually active
couples in which one partner was HIV positive. The result: in 10 years, not one uninfected partner contracted HIV, even though all participants admitted to having sex without condoms. The study states, 'We followed up 175 HIV-discordant couples over time, for a total of approximately 282 couple-years of follow up. The longest duration of follow-up was 12 visits (6 years).
We observed no seroconversion [infection] after entry into the
study." In the three-year Stewart study (1985) not one male partner of HIV-positive women contracted HIV. Prostitution is not even listed as an HIV risk category by the CDC, because of the extremely low incidence of HIV transmission to clients who have no other risk factors (i.e. drug abuse).
These findings bolster the hypothesis of some AIDS scientists that chronic malnutrition and other environmental factors, and not a sexually-transmitted virus, are the causes of weakened immunity in people diagnosed with one of the nearly 30 AIDS-defining diseases (which vary from country to country).

If AIDS is sexually transmitted how can one explain these figures: -
France 1528
Holland (legal prostitution) 45
Sweden (legal prostitution/very sexually liberated) 42
Denmark (as above) 74
These current statistics hardly suggest a link between AIDS and sexual activity.
....so does that mean that people in France are less likely to use condoms than in Holland, Denmark and Sweden?
Durex study: -
 http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/10198/96961
"The number 2 country in the Durex survey (amount of sexual activity) is the Netherlands, where people say they have sex 158 times a year, followed by Denmark at 152. The average among all the countries is 139, with the USA falling just short at 138.
While people are still underprotecting themselves from sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unwanted pregnancies, according to the Durex Global Sex Survey, the French are the least likely to have had unprotected sex. Just 22 percent said they have not used protection, compared to 61 percent in Sweden who did not take precautions."
France had over 1528 AIDS cases in 2001 ( http://www.avert.org/eurosum.htm) compared to 42 in Sweden BUT uses condoms almost 300% more than people in Sweden.
Confused? The lower the condom usage the lower the AIDS. Not exactly what you have been taught?
Sweden .047
Denmark .139
Holland .028
France .268
CONDOM USE (as percentage of population)
and yet the rate of French AIDS cases is 1.93 (nearly twice as high*) compared to Denmark. In other words half the condom use creates twice the AIDS (cases not death) rate.
When you adjust for the higher number of sex acts per year in Denmark (152 v. 143) shown in the Durex study (compared to France) the figure shows that DOUBLE THE CONDOM USAGE RESULTS IN (OVER) DOUBLE THE AIDS CASES. This is fairly consistent in ALL European countries and so cannot be dismissed as a anomaly.
Clearly it seems that 'Safe Sex' is natural sex after all.

if this is wrong, what else is? 21.Jul.2004 17:21

"If AIDS is sexually transmitted how can one explain these figures: -
Sweden (legal prostitution/very sexually liberated)"

Sweden has not had legalized prostitution since 1999. The famous 1999 Swedish Prostitution Law criminalizing johns but decriminalizing soliciting prostitutes makes Sweden, in my opinion, the most sexually liberated country on Earth (well, that and their 43% female parliment).

Legalizing prostitution is definitely not "liberating" 21.Jul.2004 17:48

And although that is a whole other issue, the facts still point away from AIDS being sexually transmittable. I take the "very liberated" in Paul King's comment about Sweden to be an editorial personal opinion of his. Also, since the link to that study does not mention Sweden's prostitution laws, I assume that was an aside from Paul King, who personally was unaware of the new law.

All the individual studies which Paul links to are factually accurate, however.

Prostitutes do not have a higher incidence of AIDS (than non-prostitutes) unless they are hard drug users, then they have a much higher incidence of AIDS.

AIDS Apologists VS AIDS Dissidents - The Truth About AIDS Denialists 30.Jul.2004 16:33

dave boy

AIDS apologists are those who know HIV leads to AIDS (proven by science, so much scientific proof) and we are defending the scientifically known fact that viral pathogenesis and progression of 'HIV to AIDS' causes the eventual need for combination therapies to prolong life. Mixed "AIDS Apologist" links here or find comments here from both sides (dissidents and the scientific community), but still about AIDS Apologist activities...

AIDS dissidents (better known as AIDS Denialists who are AIDS dissidence, dissidence is anti-establishment like, against science and progression, argumentative) deny HIV causes AIDS and claim the medications kill the patients (AZT "over use" alone started this myth in the late 80s, but medicine combo/therapies are working today in the year 2000+). Basically a group of non doctors and non scientists who challenge the conventional HIV/AIDS model or hypothesis and do not accept the proven evidence. These dissident groups seem almost fanatical by them posting the same message multiple times to a targeted list of internet websites (non dissident sites of course, clogging up the normal flow of reading material with intentions of shutting the sites down) and insulting/bashing anyone who may not agree.
