Dear Radio Friend,
The latest Shortwave Report (June 25) is up at the website  http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.3MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.4MB) (28:49)

This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, China Radio International, the Voice of Russia, Spanish National Radio, Radio Deutsche Welle, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Netherlands- Before and after militants in Iraq beheaded a S Korean translator, there was much public opinion to withdraw all S Korean troops from Iraq.
From China- The S Korean beheaded in Iraq was likely kidnapped weeks earlier, according to a videotape he made that was sent to the AP but never released. The US wants to extend immunity from war crimes prosecution in the UN, but after the prison scandals, there is serious opposition to the resolution.
From Russia- A commentary on the US resolution in the UN to bar US personnel from potential war crimes prosecution.
From Spain- The main Palestinian factions have united to oppose any security role Egypt might take in Gaza. Fidel Castro gave an angry speech in response to the new restrictions on travel and sending money to Cuba. The Spanish Parliament passed a resolution condemning the US restrictions on Cuba. Anti-Russian fighting spread in the N Caucasus region, with Chechen rebels on the attack. Amnesty International reported on human rights violations by Russian troops in Ingushetia.
From Germany- A Euro press review on the fighting in Ingushetia and Chechnya, republics which would like to break away from Russian control.
From Cuba- As US officials continue to claim that last weekend's attacks on Fallujah killed key terrorists, there is evidence that the dead were all civilians. The IAEA has said that the hypocrisy of the countries holding nuclear weapons is hampering the international effort to stop the spread of nuclear weapons.

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via  http://www.kzyx.org
There are several other streams that work better-   http://www.freakradio.org  Freak Radio Santa Cruz (96.3fm) now streams this program on Friday at 9:30am (PST)
Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)-  http://www.radiolavalamp.org
streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.
And the Partytown streams are great and informative-  http://www.partytown.com/radio
I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
