email spoofing

Remember when American GI's were sent "hate email" using the return address of various anti-war activists? Is anyone getting "return mail" like mine?
I've been fairly vocal in my community about the lies the Bush administration has been using to set up a fascist regime and drag us into a horrible war. I don't use my hotmail account to send much, thinking that it's been comprimised (many people I've sent email to don't seem to have received it, etc). Today I got a undeliverable message notice on a message I didn't send. Does anyone recognize this?

I get these all the time. I think it's general spam. I just delete 'em. Altho, I've also been fairly vocal in my community about the lies the Bush administration has been using to set up a fascist regime and drag us into a horrible war. Email spam won't silence me!

Most likely, these come from PC's infected with either the Sobig virus or a similar variant. Usually they have an attachment which says something like "Your original message." The attachment is actually the virus.

Just because you're getting the message doesn't mean you have the virus. Just that you're in the addressbook of someone who does have the virus. If you've opened the attachments though, and you don't have some kind of anti-virus software, you probably are infected.
