We're not allowed to vote for Nader. 24.May.2004 01:59

Bushwhacked

That is,
We're not allowed to vote Nader in.
He's not allowed to attend national debates. Not just speaking, he's not even allowed to be in the audience.
That's the influence of our non-partisan fourth estate.
The reason all of us are here.
Only two parties are allowed, because with more than two the system might be difficult to manage for the people managing that system.
I often wonder, if we could locally dominate with a third party of one sort or another, could we 'shimmy up the tree' of national dominance?
Whether your cause is left, or anarchist, or 'not what's available', don't you think a third party of any kind would help to break up the current insane power structures?
I think this is a place to invest energy, whether the party be Green or New Alliance, or Independence, or Absurdist, or what have you.
Thoughts?
