"STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND" DAY

Protest high gas prices, boycott the gas corporations!
it has been calculated that if everyone in the united states did not purchase a drop of gasoline for one day and all at the same time, the oil companies would choke on their stockpiles.

at the same time it would hit the entire industry with a net loss of over 4.6 billion dollars which affects the bottom lines of the oil companies.

therefore may 19th has been formally declared "stick it up their behind " day and the people of this nation should not buy a single drop of gasoline that day.

the only way this can be done is if you forward this e-mail to as many people as you can and as quickly as you can to get the word out.

what happened to the reduction and control in prices that the arab nations promised two weeks ago?

remember one thing, not only is the price of gasoline going up but at the same time airlines are forced to raise their prices, trucking companies are forced to raise their prices which effects prices on everything that is shipped. things like food, clothing, building materials, medical supplies etc. who pays in the end? we do!

we can make a difference. if they don't get the message after one day, we will do it again and again.

so do your part and spread the word. forward this email to everyone you know. mark your calendars and make may 19th a day that the citizens of the united states say "enough is enough"

This will not work 18.May.2004 17:14

its the consumption, stupid

not the particular day you buy the gas. If everyone just fills up on the 18th or the 20th, and drives the same amount of miles, this will have no effect.

god damnit 18.May.2004 17:32

ed harley

this inane pro-car spam garbage has been going around for years - for god's sake stop it!! you are not entitled to cheap gas, dumbshit!

this shit won't work 18.May.2004 17:49

seriously, though

Some other things can work 18.May.2004 17:54

but

...it cannot be said out loud because of the unpatriotic act.

i suggest 18.May.2004 18:38

that as many people as possible

get RID of their cars completely on the same day (or any day they damn well choose). never purchase another gallon of gas for an automobile again.

SUV PIGS 18.May.2004 18:41

gg

Considering that the average commute is increasing every year and is now at 40 miles a day because of urban sprawl, and the average mpg of vehicles in the USA has dropped because of all the pigs buying gashog SUVs is it any wonder? I say let the bastards pay for their sins. I hope it goes to 5$ a gallon. Maybe we should ration gas, 10 gallons maximum at a time. Watch the SUV gashog pigs sweat.

Our natural resources belong to us 18.May.2004 19:06

not the oil corporations

Why is it that the coal, oil and gas that is extracted from Federal Lands is not benefitting the American people?
Remember back when we had a government that at least pretended to represent the citizens?

The reason our gas is expensive has nothing to do with scarcity but everything to do with the takeover of our resources by the globalist and their unrestrained greed.

I enjoy high gas prices 18.May.2004 19:27

hahaha

Even though I commute 40 miles a day, I truly am enjoying the high gas prices. Every time I see an idiot in an SUV bully past me in the far left lane (like they always do), I just laugh. These numbskulls buy their SUV's and by their own idiotic actions drive up gas prices and then whine like little babies about paying $70 to fill their tanks. Go figure moron, go ask your president what he thinks, ha ha ha ha.

Ha Ha.

The thing is, most SUV drivers I know bought their SUV with an evil snicker on their lips. "Ha ha ha that will show my hippy faggot tree hugging brother-in-law", is their general attitude. They buy these things to prop up their puny egos with their opulant possessions and then go boo hoo hoo every time they hit the pump. It's hilarious!

$5.00 a gallon would suit me fine. If it reaches that price, I'll start siphoning gas from my neighborhood SUV's. Their a bit like a mini-gas station unto themselves anyway.

na Naa na na Naa!

Kucinich 18.May.2004 20:51

on price gouging

The record-shattering gasoline prices that Americans are paying at the pump are the result of two related factors, Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich charged today: the war in Iraq and the profiteering of major international oil companies.

At the same time, Kucinich said, major oil companies are capitalizing on that uncertainty and are earning record profits. Five of the world's largest oil companies had combined earning of more than $17 billion in the first three months of this year.

"It's an outrage that a working family has to pay $2.40 or more for a gallon of gas while oil company executives, speculators, and commodities traders are raking in billions of dollars in profits," Kucinich said. "First, the Bush Administration concocted reasons to go to war. Then, it began paying billions of dollars to private, hand-picked contractors to reconstruct what the war destroyed. And now, on top of that, it has created a climate that enables its friends in the oil industry to make billions more."

Kucinich said several steps needs to be taken immediately.

First, "The sooner we are out of Iraq and are not seen as a military threat to other nations in the region, the sooner stability will be restored. Our very presence there is creating the instability."

Second, "We need a windfall profits tax to stop oil companies and related industries from being allowed to profit from the misery and devastation of war."

Third, there needs to be an immediate investigation into whether "oil companies are gouging the American public and using the war as a convenient excuse."

Fourth, the United States must stop buying up oil and funneling it into the national strategic petroleum reserves. "The Administration created this economic and political mess, and now it's making it worse by hoarding oil that should be available to the general public.

Finally, Kucinich said the oil and energy monopolies created over the past several years "have consolidated too much power in too few hands." He said the federal government "must aggressively investigate the anti-trust implications of those recent mergers because they are clearly not in the public interest."

Nader Calls for Investigation Into Rising Gas Prices 19.May.2004 00:05

Ralph Nader

Washington, DC: Gasoline prices are approaching $3 a gallon in some states like California and Nevada. Every penny increase in the price of a gallon of gasoline over a year costs consumers $1.4 billion. Every penny! This is not due to gasoline taxes, this revenue is going to the oil industry.

How is this happening? There is no reduction in supply by the OPEC cartel. There is no regulatory excuse for the oil companies to blame, for there is no regulation of prices at all. Industry spokespersons say it is the tightening of refining capacity.

If that is the excuse, then why have the oil companies been closing down so many refineries over the past twenty years and not building any new ones in their place? The cynical answer is that tightening refinery capacity is the perfect way to jack prices up without being charged with price-fixing by the government.

The Bush Administration is headed by two ex-oil fellows and around Bush and Cheney there are 40 high officials who came from the oil and gas industry. Bush's government is leaving consumers, cab drivers, truckers, and homeowners defenseless. It is doing nothing in a big way. Tens of billions of dollars are being drained away from individuals, families and businesses.

An investigation is needed to determine why prices are rising so rapidly. Consumers need to know why tens of billions of dollars are being transferred from their wallets to the oil companies.

me too 20.May.2004 03:38

Hummer

Personally I don't care. I own a 2003 Hummer H2 and guess what? I can afford the gas! If you can't afford the gas then you shouldn't buy the damn car. $5 a gallon? So what!!! I'll claim it on my taxes just like my Hummer and get a fat tax refund as a business expense. Capitalism baby! Gotta love it....
