Rosie Sizer

Foo, are you really sure that's a picture of 04.Apr.2004 11:59

Rosie Sizer?

As the picture sure looks like a MAN! I thought all along that this Rosie was a
woman. What is going on here?

Rosie... 04.Apr.2004 13:13

as it don't like the woman that was just on KGW's news that they said was her? The poor woman in the
cop uniform looked like she'd been badly bitch slapped or maybe abusing drugs, as she had dark black
circles around her eyes. Is this "normal" for police women to look this way?

How about this one? 04.Apr.2004 20:27

need better picture of Luiz 05.Apr.2004 15:38

he's a real dangerous one

and this photo doesn't look very much like his usual face... better than nothing, though, i guess.

That picture of Myer looks like the picture of Sizer, but without glasses. Are you sure those are different people? Anyway, it is good to see that the PPD welcomes the transgender community within their ranks.

I am positive the photos are correct as labeled.

Myer just looks disheveled.

But you are right...what an amazing resemblance! hahahaha

Permanent topic page? 05.Apr.2004 18:48

made up

Hey thanks, great to have these photos.

Hey IMC - could this be made into a permanent topic page for PPB cop photos? So this doesn't just disappear into the archives and then the compost bin.

one thing that strikes me as I view this pics is these are NOT 05.Apr.2004 19:04

happy people

Don't you notice how clinch-jawed they are? How arched their forheads are? How
set their frowns are? These are NOT happy people! That's odd, cause they got a
lot of extra pay to be out there. Wonder why they aren't so happy?

They are not all bad, right? We know that some of these guys are bad, but are we lumping others in with them? It'd be nice to know what kind of behavior each has been involved in.

Being a cop means it doesn't matter 05.Apr.2004 22:05

Foo

whether you're good or bad. It means you wake up each morning and decide if you want to go to work in the morning, whether you want to keep on being a cop. If you say no, hit the snooze button and go find another job. But if yes, that means you accept the conditions under which you became a cop. Which means that unless you have significant evidence to prove you should disobey orders, you will obey orders. If you were good or bad, or reacted on your own instincts of right and wrong, you could easily betray the hierarchy, could easily get your fellow officers in trouble - and yourself. Questions within perimeters are fine, curiousity can be managed. Intelligence usually self-directs into another line of work. But being a cop means following orders, good or bad.

awesome photos! 05.Apr.2004 22:59

here's another...

this is a photo of some rrt cops doing a little dance under the burnside bridge on march 20, 2003. i don't know their names, or have their faces, just that they are on 'e squad' with the rrt.

they're not all "bad" 06.Apr.2004 08:38

they're just all cops

"Good cops" vs. "bad cops" is a distinction that is only made by liberals.

This is one reason cops don't like liberals.

Cops do not make this distinction. The only distinction cops make is between cops and everybody else. You ever hear a cop talk shit about another cop?

If cops themselves won't make distinctions between "good cops" and "bad cops," then why should anybody else?

If you want "protection and service" from professionals who hold themselves and each other to widely-understood and -acknowledged standards, rather than from a secret society of separatist thugs, then you must want "the police" abolished as an institution and replaced by something completely different.

But then, of course, you'd be some sort of crazy freak who nobody'd pay attention to.

So you'd better go back with the other liberals and argue with each other about who the "bad apples" are in the force. While the cops all go on praising each other to the last man no matter what bad shit any of them do. I think somebody's out of touch with how all this stuff really works.

They are all bad 06.Apr.2004 13:37

not a cop apologist

They are bad cops. Bad bad bad. All of them.

It is not good to know about the inner workings of a business that murders, beats and harasses people.

It is not good to work for a business that you know does those things.

It is not good not to turn in evidence against the killers, beaters and harassers.

It is not good to turn away from those things.

It is not good to make excuses about such criminal behavior.

It is not good to pretend you are doing a good thing when you know that you are enabling others in your business to do bad things.

It is not good to stand by, mind your own business and do your job when the business you're in is not good.

I hardly think that cop apologists would say that mafia types or nazis are good because they don't individually kill, beat or harass people. And that's wrong because being a nazi or a mafioso is not a good thing just as being a cop in a corrupt murderous police force is not a good thing. The fact is that being part of some organization that harms people is just as bad as doing it yourself - it's called complicity at best and collaboration or collusion at worst.

Get over yourself "they're just all cops". They aren't just cops they are just all BAD cops.

another good response 06.Apr.2004 21:52

"just all cops"

I don't disagree with anything you've written.

Good post.

I certainly didn't mean to imply any sympathy with the cop code of silence!

Often all you have to do to interchange conservative and radical positions is invert the smileys and frowneys, I guess.

The libs, on the other hand, are on planet la-la land.

Why are you all so angry? 07.Apr.2004 09:49

Do any of you people really have anything better to do than to sit around and be angry all the time!?! I do feel sorry for you and I will pray for you!

Not all of the above photos are of "bad" cops. The purpose for posting the photos is strictly for identification purposes, for filing complaints or lawsuits.

It has come to my attention (from another page on this site), that the above alleged photo of SERY is not, in fact, SERY, but Officer Lowe. Not sure that this info is true though.

A Few Comments 09.Apr.2004 17:50

on those pigs

I vote Kruger for Fuckhead Kop of the Year award, for all the shit he's done (most is available on video), and for open Nazi fetish (at least other cops keep their Klan outfit in the kloset).

Jacobellis is best known for his brilliant crimin-illogical comment:
"the ... failure lays in the refusal to obey, ok?"

I suggest the award be a toilet plunger, used according to proper Department policy.

I now have it on reliable source that the above photo IS in fact of SERY. Photo is being re-attached.

Cop dodged '97 charge
Assistant chief Dorothy Elmore could have been fired after threatening to kill her husband
By JACOB QUINN SANDERS
Issue date: Fri, Nov 11, 2005
Portland Tribune, OR
Dorothy Elmore, promoted last month to a position as an assistant Portland police chief, could have been fired from the force eight years ago after threatening to kill her then-husband, also a cop, prompting him to get a restraining order that barred her from their home and a police precinct...

Who's coming to town and who's leaving.
BY WW EDITORIAL STAFF
newsdesk at wweek.com
10/12/2005
...Elmore was written up in 1997 for domestic violence after she slashed her husband's tires and left threatening messages on his answering machine. Suspecting her husband, also a police officer, of having an affair, she told him she'd shoot him if he came home that night. "I'm sure I said that," Elmore tells Murmurs. "And I'm sure I was extremely upset when I said it. That's what happened." She says the incident stemmed from a painful personal experience and doesn't reflect the patience and skill she brings to her new management position. Elmore has 24 years on the force and was captain of the school police for two years...
