Remembering the Iraq war dead

Letter to the Eugene Register-Guard.
Register-Guard:

Thank you for printing the photos of the 570 American soldiers who have been killed in our war with Iraq. It would be even more appalling if you could print the photos of the estimated 8,769 to 10,618 Iraq civilians killed since we invaded their country (iraqbodycount.net).

All because of our greed. Because we're not willing to get out of our cars and walk or bike, even though the exercise might save our lives. Because we won't take the bus or demand higher gas mileage standards. Because George Bush lied to us and John Kerry was too much of a political coward to vote against the war.

I'll be voting for Ralph Nader in November (naderoregon.org).
