Fox has done it again. I may begin to tape the Simpsons sue to the fact that Fox has finally gotten on my last nerve. Last night I saw a preview for a reality show where a group of "ugly" (normal) women sign up for make-overs. Now this would seem like a regular thing for an Oprah show or something, but wait. This show will include liposuction, facelifts, botox, ass tucks, and the rest of the disgusting things that self indulgent Americans put themselves through in order to look like the cookie cutter models we see a thousand times a day. Although I do well at not watching television (except for Sunday nights) this is the last straw. For those of you who haven't yet BOYCOTT FOX, and for those of you who don't watch any TV, good job, and no need to point out my weaknesses.
This reality television thing has closed in on the final frontier of capitalizing on things that people hate about themselves. They have moved from putting a bunch of manipulative people on an island, to casting a bunch of women who actually look like women (instead of adolescent boys) and told them they will get rich by sucking, tucking, pinching, and injecting. This goes along nicely with the government's recent decision to run public service announcements that make fat jokes in order to let people know that Americans are fat.
