We owe

These men and women saved untold numbers of American and Iraqi lives by their sacrifice. Additionally, they bought us time so that we can mock their efforts, malign the Bush administration, and generally pretend to have no responsibility for this war which was, after all, not done at our behest. Kinda cool really, hating the war and all of its associations gives our lives a meaning and purpose. A reason to get up in the morning. Fucking corporate mercenary pigs, they deserved to die! What are the Iraqi numbers! See, it's easy.
