Moyers's NOW asks: Does Miami FTAA signal new crackdown on dissent?

Finally, a good reason to watch tv! Tune in to Bill Moyers's next NOW show on KOPB Ch. 10 at 9pm Friday, as he examines whether the police response to recent protests against the FTAA in Miami signal a new ultraright crackdown on dissent in America.
Bill Moyers has won praise in progressive circles for daring to tell stories that the corporate media won't touch, and winning wide respect for them. Moyers's show, NOW, is entering it's twilight days, as Moyers has announced he will soon retire from his career in broadcast journalism.

Don't miss this one! Tune in tomorrow to KOPB Channel 10 at 9pm, as he examines whether the police response to recent protests against the FTAA in Miami signal a disturbing new ultraright crackdown on dissent in America.

This show is about the only redeeming quality of PBS.

Moyers is leaving this show after the election. He has been a sane and powerful voice amidst all the lapdogs of media.

Miami Police Chief Timmoney (sp?) came across as nuttier than an outhouse rat. He accused NOW's reporter of being part of some kind of commie conspiracy to discredit him! The guy is Col. Ripper from "Dr. Strangelove" in the flesh.

We're up against some real maniacs, folks.
