Wal-Mart Alarm in Milwaukie - moving into old Albertson's site on McLoughlin

Good people of Milwaulie, unite and be vigilant.
There is a fairly reliable rumor that Wal-Mart is going to move into an old Albertson's site on McLouglin Blvd. I do not live in that area and cannot be more specific. Does anyone in that area know where this location is?

Citizens of Milwaukie, please look further than cheap prices. They come at great cost! Wal-Mart is a great destroyer of many worthwhile community values. Wal-Mart is the greatest un-American entity you are likely to confront in your daily lives. Wal-Mart will steal good jobs as they kill other businesses in your country and community.

Wal-Mart means cheap. A cheapening of jobs, dignity, and quality of life.

Wal-Mart is NOT good.

wanting to read more nasty stuff on Walmart, then read this...if not, then ignore it...that's what Free Speech

Full text of article follows. Watch how fast this story disappears:

Forrest City Police found an estimated $30 million worth of cocaine hidden among a tractor-trailer full of toys headed for Wal-Mart stores in North Carolina.

State police pulled over a tractor-trailer Sunday on Interstate 40 near Forrest City, saying it was speeding.

Troopers said the truck's driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and that he and a passenger appeared nervous during the traffic stop, so officers asked for permission to search the rig.

According to police, officers found cocaine inside 12 boxes, each containing about 25 kilograms. The total weight of the drugs is estimated at 660 pounds.

Two men remain in custody with bond set at $2 million.

Old Albertson site 13.Feb.2004 17:20

mom

I have friends in the area who cannot track down the reality of the rumor either.
The site is just south of Concord Ave --- if you get as far as the Cinema 8 theaters you've passed it--- on the east side of Mcloughlin Blvd as you are going south.
