GLOBAL WARMING/ FORD MOTORS PROTEST SAT, FEB. 7th

Rhetoric: "Ford believes that climate change is a serious
environmental issue... . We believe that appropriate actions should be
taken now to address the problem" (Ford Motor Co.'s web page).

Reality: Ford's new cars release more global warming pollution than
any other major automaker in the country.
GLOBAL WARMING/ FORD MOTORS PROTEST SAT, FEB. 7th

Don't buy Ford's environmental rhetoric. Don't buy its cars. Join a
coalition of 80 organizations that are pressuring Ford to become the
environmental leader of the US auto industry. Tell Bill Ford, Jr. to
follow through on it's now broken promise of increased fuel
efficiency of all it's SUVs.

Join concerned students and citizens in a protest, organized by
Bluewater Network (bluewaternetwork.org), in front of the Portland
International Auto Show this Saturday!

WHERE: Oregon Convention Center, (near Max line at the corner of NE
MLK, Jr. Blvd and Holladay St.)
WHEN: Saturday, February 7th, 2004
10:30 am-1pm.
WHAT: A protest of Ford Motor Co. in order to hold CEO, Bill Ford
Jr. accountable for making and breaking promises of fuel efficiency
improvements.
Come help make the prevention of global warming a top priority of
the auto industry!!
