Bark (Mt. Hood protectors) need volunteers for "Barkfest 2004"

Bark is more in need of volunteer help than anytime before!
Bark's single biggest outreach and fundraising event of the year - Barkfest - is coming right up on February 21st.

{You can read more about all of the music, food, and dancing that will be happening at Barkfest right here:  http://www.bark-out.org/calendar/listing.php#51 }

To pull this huge event together we are going to need an extraordinary amount of help from our volunteers from now through the day of the event. We're estimating the event will require more than 45 volunteers working a total of several hundred hours to pull it off. We can not do it without your help!

Besides helping to save Mt. Hood, if you volunteer 3 hours of help phone banking and/or take helping out on the day of the event you get in free (it's $15 at the door).

Here are some of the types of help we're looking for:

Phone banking a chunk of Bark's 1,300 person phone list.

Postering for the event around town.
Helping out at the event itself by:
1. Setting up
2. Collecting admission
3. Helping with the Raffle
4. Monitoring a food or information table
5. Breaking down the event
6. Helping with volunteer coordination and pulling people into working on all of the above listed projects.
7. Selling Barkfest tickets to friends, family, co-workers, etc.
8. Setting up a table at People's or the Daily Grind with information about Bark, Barkfest, and selling tickets.
9. Other tasks TBA

Besides these Barkfest related items we always, always, always need help at our office with filing projects, data-entry, and odd-jobs of all sorts.

We are also currently looking for a person to check the dozen or so publications around Portland that we send our event announcements to in order to see if they are getting published.

Please get back to us as soon as possible and let us know if you can pitch in! Call or email me anytime, 503-331-0374,  brian@bark-out.org
