Measure 30 opponents: not Oregon Grown

The DC based anti-tax establsihment is out to see if they can trick Oregonians into shooting themselves in the foot. IF they can they plan on black-mailing moderate Republicans and Democrats in state legislature into opposing all tax reform by pointing to what they did with a few hundred thousans dollars in Oregon.
Sorry buck-o,
But it is predominately not your oregonian neighbors you are fighting with over the oregon budget...its the clearinghouse for the national anti-tax establishment.

The orginization entirely responsible for putting Oregons Budget up for a vote as if all it were was a un-called for tax hike is.....Citizens for a Sound Economy. Over 75% of all funds against measure 30 and putting the budget up for a vote were provided by the washington DC conservative inititive-tank who are testing the anti-tax waters here in Oregon

Politically, since Oregon's medical marijuana, doctor assisted suicide, anti-gay rights, and failed sales tax inititives, the state has been on the national radar screen as a testing ground for ideas in other states.

The DC based "No-tax-at-any-cost" Opponents of Measure 30 are fishing for an budget scrapping to see if they can trick the electorate into re-writing the state budget. They are hoping that they can wield the initiative process as a sword of Damocles over the heads of moderate Republicans and Democrats durring legislative sessions in states around the country by black-mailing them with the potential results of this (Measure 30) inititive here in Oregon.

Don't give them your electoral power.

Speak truth to their monetary influence and let everyone know that Measure 30 is not Oregon-Grown.

Sure, local libertarian-conservative and single intrest folks who stand to lose from the budget are going to oppose it....but can they really come up with a politically and economically feasible alternative in 10 days? It took the legislature 9 months of back and forth to get this budget. And budgets are never great. They are political compromise to all parties.

But do you really expect flushing the whole thing down the toliet as the anti-tax establsihment wants you to will yield anything better than outright decimation of all state provided services?

The obvious answer is NO.
Your spelling needs help and so does your thinking 25.Jan.2004 00:42

Spelling Bee

First you argue one thing and then the next sentence seems to contrary it. It is hard to figure out exactly what you are saying and the number of misspelled words makes me suspicious that you are actually a planted agitator trying to see what Portland Indymedia people really think about Measure 30. No data sources listed in your comments. I am not impressed.

Argument 1
"The DC based "No-tax-at-any-cost" OPPONENTS OF MEASURE 30 ARE FISHING FOR A BUDGET SCRAPPING TO SEE IF THEY CAN TRICK THE ELECTORATE INTO RE-WRITING THE STATE BUDGET.

Argument 2
Speak truth to their monetary influence and let everyone know that MEASURE 30 IS NOT OREGON-GROWN.

Back to Argument 1
But do you really expect flushing the whole thing down the toliet as the anti-tax establsihment wants you to will yield anything better than outright decimation of all state provided services? The obvious answer is NO."

If Argument 2 were true then WHY would we want to support Measure 30??
I can almost see it if Argument 1 were true.
