i think everyone who was protesting in the streets of the police state in miami were incredibly brave. Not because we weren't scared and ran when the cops attacked us (i did too - i was scared just about everyday i was there, the police presence was relentlessly intimidating). Not because some of the protestors tried to pull down the fence but failed. Not because direct action was not successful. But because in spite of our fear and the increasing police repression, we will continue to resist. I saw a poem that a protestor put up on the fence in Miami which summed up why we were there and why we will never give up the struggle:
No army can hold back a thought
No fence can chain the sea
The earth cannot be sold or bought
All Life shall be free
