Books To Prisoners Benefit Friday 8 pm

Please join us at the Books To Prisoners Benefit Concert this Friday,
November 21 at Gallery 1914 (1914E. Burnside). Books to Prisoners is
an entirely volunteer-run collective working to fulfill book requests of
incarcerated people. We need money for postage, packaging supplies and
acquiring books.
Four bands will be playing on friday: hoary poury, adelaide, the
scientifics, and please step out of the vehicle. Music will start at
8. We are asking for a $2-whatever donation to go towards the work of Portland Books to Prisoners.

Email:  pdxbookstoprisoners@riseup.net if you'd like to volunteer.

Mailing nights are mondays and tuesdays 5-8 pm at 60 NE Sacramento. This is between MLK and Williams, between Russell and Broadway. # 4 and # 12 buslines will get you there. The entrance is on the right hand side of the house.

If you can't make the mailing nights, but want to make donations of books or bucks, there are donation boxes at the Back to Back Cafe (616 E. Burnside) and at Reflections Mirror Image bookstore at NE Garfield and Killingsworth. Soon there will be one at Laughing Horse Books as well, at SE 37th and Division.

Please forward this to all your friends.
