the truth may be over rated?
the pacifist, for example points to the false premises of war. the anti-corporate corruption reporter may point out enron's bogus sceams. the need for public power verses private power. the establishment hands to the public a batch of lies that qualifies its behaviour, the anti-establishment unravals the lies and reports it. once done, it wines loudly for a bit and the public seems content to forget the ramifications of its work. the anti-establishment unweaves and reports another. this seems to go on and on. the truth seems to be a syndrome which immoblizes the anti -establisment. the lie give the establishment its stregnth.
in this manner the left is constantly on defense. if the best defense is offense, we better start lying. perhaps the truth is worth lying for. perhaps the lie is the only power establishment has been allowed to monopolize. it should be put on the defense, so it may be forced to seek the truth.
the unweaving of the lies seems just a progressive stick in the media game. reporting corruption, or unscientific choices of resourse consuption. progressives takes great pride in its notion of truth. perhaps a way to make a living, write a book, run your non-profit-impress your friends.
has the truth stopped a war, prevented genocide?
make a list of the biggest lies you have been told. were any from churh or state? what were there aims? have you seen media reports on lying british folk?
