Thank you to all of you who participated in the World's Largest Guitar Jam Band on
June 29th! We set the world record, had a great time and raised much needed public
awareness and funds for Sisters. Let's do it again next year!
I wanted to invite you to a free training taking place Saturday, July 26th from 9:00
am to 12:00 noon at the Cafe titled "Introduction to Community Organizing." The
training will be facilitated by our Co-Founder Genny Nelson who is also our Program
Director for Community Organizing and Systemic Change at Sisters. Please return
e-mail me to sign up - and come a little early as we will have bagels and juice
available. This is a great opportunity - I hope you will join us!
As part of our Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival & Benefit that will take place
September 12th - 14th (check out our website for more info!) we are having a silent
auction at the Friday Night Hoedown. We would like to ask you, our community, to
consider donating (a service, an item, something fun, creative, whatever) for that
auction. Many of our members who are cooks donate a cooked meal or a cooking
lesson in someone's home, others donate a house concert or lessons of some sort -
how about you? Return e-mail to me if you are interested and I will send you the
form to get you started. If you have already donated to the auction - thank you!
Thank you to all of you for your support of Sisters and for being a vital part of
You can now donate on-line at anytime through our website -
If you would like to be taken off of this e-mail list - please let me know.
