ACA's Mission Statement
On Capitalism
Capitalism is the exploitation of human efforts for the profit of a few. It does this by claiming private ownership of the means of production and exchange. Capitalism pursues humans as capital, ecosystems as natural resources, and culture as simply a commodity. This pursuit enlists all cultures and habitats to adhere to the motive of profit under the threat of violence and repression from states committed to furthering the institution of capitalism. Capitalism also forces the greater of humanity to struggle to maintain housing and earn money for food. It fosters social barriers (i.e. class, racism, patriarchy, homophobia, ableism, ageism, etc.) to keep people induced with hatred, competition, efficient and complacency. Anti-Capitalist Action confronts these issues from our community outward.

Anti-Capitalist Action seeks to legitimize the politics of anti-capitalism within the greater community. We view capitalism as a system dependently linked to all forms of oppression, therefore we commit to confronting capitalism head-on through organization and resistance, as well as promoting mutual aid alternatives to capitalist culture. We work in solidarity and support of communities struggling to defend themselves against capitalist advances (war, globalization, gentrification, police brutality, eviction, environmental racism, etc.)worldwide. We engage in campaigns and efforts to undermine the influence of capitalism on our lives. And we seek to build a sustainable anti-authoritarian movement through education and building alliances locally, nationally and globally.
