Dear Radio Friend,
The latest Shortwave Report (June 27) is up at the website http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.4MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (29:18) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via  http://www.kzyx.org
There are several other streams that work better-  http://www.freakradio.org Freak Radio Santa Cruz (96.3fm) now streams this program on Friday at 9:30am (PDST)
Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)-  http://www.radiolavalamp.org
streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.
And the Partytown streams are great and informative-  http://www.partytown.com/radio
This week's show features stories from the Voice Of Russia, China Radio International, Radio Netherlands, Spanish National Radio, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Russia- A commentary concerning a report issued by the International Crisis Group, which points out that the US is losing control over its war fronts in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine. The French press reported that Palestinian radical groups agreed to a cease-fire last week.
From China- Hamas leaders and a spokesman for Arafat deny that a 3 month ceasefire has been agreed upon. At a WTO summit Thursday, EU ministers denied that their rejection of genetically modified crops was hurting efforts to curb starvation in Africa. Iran says it has no intention to make nuclear weapons, just nuclear energy; Iran also responded to threats of a US attack.
From Netherlands- Syria has lodged a formal protest about the US Special Forces attack on a convoy at the Syrian border. In Italy, there is an attempt to overturn a new law that gives Prime Minister Berlusconi immunity from prosecution. Then a look at the US intent to break down the Palestinian organization Hamas, which is respected and supported in part by the EU. As the Indonesian Army wages war on rebels in the province of Ache, the only reporter in contact with the rebels is an American who is now being held by the Army.
From Spain- The death of 6 British soldiers in Iraq, which was called unprovoked by British forces, was a response to searches conducted by the British. Cuba released a book attempting to justify their recent crackdown on dissidents, whom Cuba claims are agents of the US.
From Cuba- Greenpeace has accused the US and Britain of disregard for Iraqi civilians who turned over canisters contaminated with uranium. Then a Viewpoint, cynically describing how EU leaders, who were opposed to the US invasion of Iraq, will sit down with Bush and let "bygones be bygones."
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
