Today was a victory: we made it clear that the people of this country desire biotech no more than anyone else. Despite the violence they used to mask our efforts, our voices were heard! This is a renewal of our power not simply to resist, but to incarnate a new kind of world.
After the violent and unprovoked attacks on passive protesters outside the IMAX -- intended simply to clear us from the delegates' view -- about 60 of us regrouped on 11th and J and held a circle to decide what to do. We eventually decided to march in celebration (at peak around 120) down the streets past 12th and J back to the welcome center. Whose streets? Whose earth? Ours!
