Rep. Waxman Questions Halliburton Ties to Terrorism--Letter to Rumsfeld

Apparently this letter is 5 pages from California Legislator Waxman-- he asks Rumsfeld why Haliburton is profiting in Iraq, Iran and Libya, countries that have had sanctions put on them by the U.S. saying that because these countries have terrorist links and are pursuing weapons of mass destruction, (because the U.S. couldn't subjugate these countries' leaders) no company could do business with them.
After the 1991 sanctions were declared on Iraq, Halliburton, with Cheney at the helm, was doing 73 milion worth of business in oil production equipment with 2 companies... And the list and the reference cites go on...

The letter asks why Halliburton has been making hundreds of milions a year for years in these countries suspected of terrorism... Why there are contracts with the us military at taxpayer's expense to fund this company, using subsidiaries that Cheney defends the use of. The letter is well footnoted, mentions some of the subsidiaries specifically, one in the Cayman Islands, Halliburton Products and Services, that opened an office in Tehran in 2000, and the Brown & Root scam.
